Hello folks,I tried to write a routine that stores intermediate results only when I invoke it. For this purpose I'm using a list box that gives out a command variable (out) so that only the parts of the routine are executed that comply with this value. The subsequent routine has either to write or read to a given file data. All works fine and swell except that the first if condition is evaluated when I'm choosing the second one. The file (MathCad 15 on a Win / 64 Bit machine) is added.Can somebody spot the error?Thanks in advanceRaiko

When I create Xsection in a part (in Creo Parametric 1.0 M010), then activate it and make it visible, I'll receive unexpected result. See two attached pictures. I guess it is a bug. my question is focused on Page#39 of the book "chemical kinetics with mathcad and maple". for the 1st row of the stoichiometric matrix, I think that the second element should be -1 instead of 1    

I'm trying to open an .ipt file and receiving an error message from Creo: "Inventor license error".   Not sure how to get this to work, as far as I know Creo should have the capability to open the file; I've moved the file into my working directory but past that, I'm coming up blank.

I recently purchased a student version of Mathcad Prime 2.0. An IP address is required to obtain the license file. I gave the IP address on the sticker on the back of my laptop (00-FF-1E-10-1C-44), but the license didn't work. I am unable to request another license online since it says I have used the maximum number already. - told me to log a call online or call. I have an order number (#15661064945) but no customer number, so I couldn't request help online. When I called, the woman couldn't find my order number and told me to contact -. Maybe I heard her wrong, but this email doesn't exist. I also emailed - and received no answer. The PTC utility gives me the IP address PTC HOSTID=00-26-82-AD-1E-2D, so a license for this IP would be nice. This seems to actually be the IP-address for the wifi connection and not the actual computer when I look into my computers settings. Can anyone help me?

Just installed Mathcad Prime 2. It's very early to make serious conclusion, but I cannot find a lot of familiar from Mathcad options. For example, I cannot select interface language (I want to change default Russian) and many other things. Mayby, options are deeply hidden in interface and are not visible at a glance?

Hi, I have a very simple VBA script running in excel, which pulls values from Mathcad 14. I've run into a problem when the variable name has a subscript. VBA returns an error saying it can't find the variable. I have tried "Test.2" for Test subscript 2, and the VBA function Chr$() to pass the Unicode of a subscript. Neither has worked for me. Anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone know how to pull ALL of the variables names from Mathcad with VBA? That might help too. My company switched to WF4 about a year ago and I've had a very annoying issue since we upgraded. I still use the old query select instead of preselect highlighting because it is much faster when dealing with large assemblies. My issue is that the order that query select uses is all wrong and it seems to be different than what I remember in WF2 (the previous version my company used). When I say the order is wrong, I mean that when I try to pick on a surface of a part that is in the front of the model window it defaults to picking edges or vertexs on parts that are several layers behind the part of interest. I seem to remember in WF2 that the default order was surface, edge, vertex, part...in WF4 it seems to be edge, vertex, surface, part.Is there any way to change the order so that it defaults to surface, edge, vertex, part?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. We are currently only able to publish to pdf via styler. I would like to turn off hyphenation I cannot seem to follow the help guide as I do not have the options under format. We have a custom style sheet designed for use that has a cover page built into to it. When publishing the complete book, the cover page only prints on the cover. If I print a portion of the book ie 3 or 4 differnet topics with some having topic heads, it prints the cover seperatly, then uses the cover page again for all the body pages.Is arbortext 6.0 capable of publishing only sections of a manual or does it need to print the whole book each time. Just trying to cut down on publishing time as it is almost 20min to publish entire book.

Hi all,I am using OLE automation to excite my maths model with input data taken from a spreadsheet so using .SetValue, .Recalculate and .GetValue methods of the Worksheet class. For that reason I have added the name of the input variables right at the top pf the file without the := operator. My problem is that I want my MathCad model to be also a standalone model where it will look if automation is active or not, and when not, it will have a local definition with :=To do that in C, we would define a global symbol when in automation:#define OLE_AUTOMATIONAnd then in the program we would add a conditional compilation branch#ifndef OLE_AUTOMATION int variable_input_x; variable_input_x = y;#endifIs there any way of doing something similar in Mathcad?Many thanks

Hi all,I'm currently running Creo 2.0 and I'm looking for the Blend From File command. I've used the Command Search tool, and I can only locate Curve From File. Has this command disappeared in Creo?Thank You

I am able to log into the website using a web browser with no problems. However, when I tried to add the server in Creo it pops up a window asking for credentials (obviously the server is working up to this point) then when I type in the information it loads for a second and then tells me the server location is invalid. Now if I try to add the server again, it does not ask for any credentials, it just says server location is invalid. If I type in a wrong password, the dialog will pop back up asking for the info again.I'm lost and we are a team of 2 people so we have no support IT staff to assist with this...Thanks,Aaron

Hi, attached are two models - Model function A and B. Each model function consists of parts that i am superimposing with given boundary conditions. However, when i plot each function i don't believe it is plotting the mathematical function for either Model A or Model B. I attach, if anyone can please help me to plot the functions correctly would be much appreciated (it's possible that my actual functions are not written correctly in matchcad). Thank you.

Hi,I was working on a design this morning and had nearly completed it. At some point, I got side tracked with another project and accidentally closed that file in Creo 2.0. I have Creo 2.0 M010 installed and heard that the new Freestyle Modeling option is packaged as part of all versions as standard, yet I do not have it.I checked my Configured Option Modules under License Information and the Freestyle_Modeling_Extension is installed. Under the Customize the Ribbon, the Main Tabs available are: Model, Analysis, Annotate, Render, Manikin (do not have installed), Tools, View & Applications, no Freestyle Modeling. The Freestyle Modeling command is also not available under the All Commands listing either. I believe Freestyle Modeling should be a Main Tab.My menu definition.pro file is coming from C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\Common Files\M010\text\menu_def.pro, so that should not be an issue either.Am I missing something? I am trying to solve a film model for diffusion and reaction of two species (liquid film of a gas/liquid reaction). The problem I would like to solve is described in sbval_Film_Model.xmcd (attached). At the interface (x=0) CA has a known value; CB is unknown, but dCB/dx=0. At the end of the film (x=dL), CA and CB are in a sense known, but depend on dCi/dX, i.e. the amount passing through the film. I can't assume that CA(x=dL)=0. I'd like to somehow solve this problem using sbval to estimate CB at x=0 and a standard ODE solver to obtain the concentration profiles in the film. Eventually I would like to solve the film profiles at different points along a reactor length, meaning I need something that can be implmented in programming and doesn't use a given block. Does any one know how to setup sbval when there are two variables (CA and CB) and not just one?

Hello,my question is related to Windchill Java API and Windchill 10.1 M010.There is a Creo part (PRT file) and its drawing (DRW file) in my Windchill database.I am able to find the part (EPMDocument) in my Java application.Now, I need to find the drawing my part is referenced by.I tried various methods from wt.vc.struct.StructService, but I always got an empty result(empty QueryResult or empty WTKeyedMap).Does anyone know how to find drawing references using Java API?Thanks in advancemp.
