I am doing a Pocket Milling sequence and it seems the STEP_DEPTH paramater is being ignored. The tool is going straight to the final depth. I am machining a Mill Surface. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,I use Mathcad 2001 Student Edition (on Windows XP). Everything is working fine until I change l1:=0,1..2 to l1:=0,1..7 in the file attached.When I do this I get the following error Message:"Runtime ErrorThis application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."Can anybody tell me, how I can increase the range without causing Mathcad to crush?

Hello, I'm new to the community.I am looking for help with the Mathcad Excel add-in. I downloaded the add-in. When I went to put it into Excel through the options menues I got a number of error windows and a request for a password. I have Mathcad 13, so first, do I have an incompatibility right off the bat? If not, any help would be most appriciated. The on-line help tool won't accept me because I do not have 14 or higher.Thanks

I have attempted to derived the symbolic equation for critical depth for a circular pipe. Assuming that formula that I have derived is correct (others may be able to shed some light here because I could not find a published formula on the web or in the text books that I have for that purpose) I then tried to calculate numerical values of critical depth based on an assumed flow increments (input vector of Q-values). To do this I have used a solve block but for some reason however it doesn't result in an answer i.e. vector of critical depth values. I did however find an empirical formula for Critical Depth in Circular Pipe which gives a result which I have graphed. I am aware however that the empirical formula is applicable only over a certain range of flow. My aim however is to compare that empirical formula to the exact value. Can someone help me figure out why the solve bock fails to produce an answer? Maybe the derivation is incorrect?Thanking you in advance.Kind regards, Mark Buckto

Why does the first function of "X.bolt.w" not compute, but if I remove the end values of n.b.row.h*29, it works - as shown in the second function. It doesnt make any sense.

Hello After the story of the hidden lines last week, here is my new challenge of the week :Displaying NotesFirst of all, the Annotation Element Display button is activated.Then, I do the Annotation Plane Definition with View > Annotation OrientationWhen I do Insert > Annotations > Notes and I try to place a note, ProEngineer simply does not display the note...If I try Insert > Annotations > Notes, then Show > All, the notes are not displayed.Is there a special command or option that allows to display the notes ?I use Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0 Student Edition. Perhaps it is a limitation of the Student Edition, but I did not find any information about this.Thanks.Sylvain

My company wishes to let go Intralink and go for SVN (Tortoise Subversion control) for version control of files, since SVN is open source and is free.I request inputs from people who have used it before. We are on Proe for the past 5 or 6 years and have that much of data. I am afraid of conflicts hence the question.

I have a data set that fluctuates between high and low values. For context, the data set represents the number of wells needed by month. It is a 12x1 vector (see attached worksheet). I need to program a loop (see my attempt) that can calculate the total number of wells needed when the number of wells increases. For instance, if in month 1, I have 10 wells and month 2 has 9 wells, I still need a total of ten wells. However, if in month 3, I need 12 wells, then I need 2 additional wells, for a total of 12 wells. I need to graph the number of wells needed over time, so it would be helpful to not have any zeros in my vector, and rather maintain the same value until the value increases. Also, if I reach the maximum number of wells, I need to be able to reflect this in the vector for the rest of the year (i.e. (10,9,12,12,12,12,12.etc.).

I constructed the attached worksheet for partially full open channel flow in a pipe using the Manning's and Colebrook-White equation, the problem is that the calculation proceeds as would be expected if the pipe diameter is 2 m but if one changes the diameter to be small or bigger than 2 m (change the highlighted yellow value) then the whole calculation gives very unexpected results and in some cases division by zero errors. Can some of the more learned users examine this worksheet and explain to me why this is the case?Thanking you in advance.Kind regards, Mark Buckton

Hi I am very new to Matchcad and i am having trouble getting Mathcad to display to correct number of decimal places. What i have read says that by default Mathcad should display 3 decimal places. Whenever I perform calculations I am getting something like 21 decimal places. I looked in the help files and it says to go to format,result, and then change the decimal places. The problem is that mine is at the default of three decimal places so this leaves me stuck on where to go because it displays 21 decimal places. Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksMatt

Hello folks,I have a weird problem: for some measurement data I'm trying to find the roots. This data appears to be best approximated by a sine function. As MathCad's roots/polyroots function works with rational functions only (or am I wrong on this one?) I tried to use the MATCH function together with the control parameter "near".Weird enough, it finds only a few of the roots (see graph in the attached MC 11 file). Why doesn't it work and how could I improve this?Thanks in advanceRaiko

hii have a really simple problem but i dont get it to work.i have two moving parts. i created a spring between them (2 points). the spring is displayed and the display is bevahing like a spring.i created a meassure res force and clicked the spring.the meassure sais "not calculated"i know i do wrong something really stupid. forgot something or whatelse. but...this is really simple but i dont know why i cant meassure the spring force?thanks in advance

I am kind of new to MathCAD but I seem to be having a strange bug. I have a simple solve loop that works in one sheet. When I copy it to a new sheet I get the error "This variable is undefined". I can't seem to find any reason why it will work in the current sheet but won't in another one.I attached the working copy. Can anyone else copy the entire loop into a new worksheet and have it still work?Thanks in advanced.BrokenWorkingin

So, when I define x:= 1..10 for example, and then push x [=] it just shows me two placeholders and won't show me the table of x-values...any ideas? Funny thing is, when I transfer that same worksheet to a different computer, it works fine. Could it be some weird setting on the first computer?
