I have an assembly with various parts. I have a perimeter with parts that go past that point that I want to use an extrude for example and cut the excess material away so I can get a nice clean edge. When I do that it says my sketch is outside the model. As you can probably detect my integration skills are not very sharp but what should be a simple problem has a certain subtly that escapes me. I'm installing a test implementation of Windchill 10 on a dual server setup (Win Server 2008 R2 running on Vmware). When using the PSI on the Oracle server for the Oracle Configuration, there are choices not present before or described in the Installation and Configuration guide. The PSI shows "Create Windchill Installation Database User Account" and "Create Windchill Application Database User Account" instead of simply "Create Windchill Database User Account". Hi All,I'm just wondering if anyone has come across this problem, or might some tips on how to resolve it.I just upgraded from Wildfire 3.0 to Wildfire 5.0 in late 2010, but I now have a problem just printing drw's from Proe in black and white only.This was never an issue before in WF3, I would just hit the print button, select the paper size, and bob's your uncle, the drawing came out black and white from the printer.However, with WF5, which I've now also updated to the most recent cut M070, this is not the case, the drawings always come out in colour.Anyone any ideas or thoughts on this?Thanks,MelThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello,allow me to explore if Mathcad V15 will bring me some relief in cosntrast to V14 M020.I'm struggling with a 4p long code (programm). It had started to claim that units were different that they should be. After killing the (correct) expression and replacing it by "1", the complete code turned red....So I'm searching for an imprveenet of the situation, which might be caused by sheer size of the program or list of variables and functions handed over?Attached the version I started from and got deeper into trouble...thanks

I just want to throw this question out to the community. Are you using Mathcad in any way, shape or form to help design your FRC or FTC robot?As a mentor, I'm just dying to use this stuff, I just haven't found the time to implement it and don't have the teacher involvement to help...yet.I would love to hear ways that other teams are using Mathcad.

I am currently having trouble designing a reel winder in work, picture included below to help with the explanation.If you can imagine the wire coming off the bottom of the barrel and attached to a pipeline thus, putting the wire in tension. The tension in the wire creates a compressive stress in the barrel (hoop stress).From here I have used to Hoop stress (also known as the circumferential stress) to find the external pressure using Lame’s equation, which is shown in the attached *.pdf.From the solve block the external pressure seems acceptable, but the resultant tangential stress seems excessive.Can anyone confirm if my Maths or logic is correct? I have been told that this could be calculated using the principle stress theory or a method out of Roarks, any ideas?Mike

After I have updated to Mathcad 14 M035, Mathcad can not calculate my documents correctly, but it works fine in version 2001.What could be wrong? - I've attached an example where I can not get Mathcad M035 to figure it out.

Hello,I have a strange problem that I didnt think I would encounter. I am using the Batch Process with a Macro to convert files. One of the things in this macro is to change the active document name to the contents of a variable:activeDoc.name = strICNUnfortunately when running the macro using the batch process it doesnt change the name - it keeps the original file name and seems to ignore this command. If I run the Macro within Isodraw it then changes it, and I can then save this manually - however I would prefer to avoid doing this 250 times.The only thing I can think of is that when using the batch process the file is not an ''active' document so the command will not work (just guessing here), if this is the case how do I change the file name when using the batch process? or is their a command that changes the filename whether it is active or not?Many thanks for your assistance.Alan

I have currently generated a model of Sol that spells some serious problems possibly in October this year (temperatures may be in excess of 150 deg F in the Northern Hemisphere for a few weeks.), but I have some concepts for preparing for this I want to express to humanity. Dear all,1) I have an application which generates large files. Once I read these files from within mathcad I don't need them anymore and I would like to delete them.Presently I do it by hand from windows explorer. Is it possible to delete a file in a specific folder from within Mathcad ?2) When mathcad is open and runs since some times (couple hours) I observe that it is running slower and slower, like a memory saturation effect (in truth I don't know). Usually I quit mathcad and start it again. Then it runs again normally.Can someone tell me if I can "refresf" mathcad from mathcad, without having to close it and start again ?Thank you
