When you check the changes on a model into windchill, a version with the corresponding changes is later accessible in windchill. But if you find out a few versions later, that you e. g. want a specific revolve back in a certain place, how can you pick that up from the old version? Because as far as I know, it is not possible, to check out the old and the new version at the same time. And if you use several workspaces, then you can check out both but not work on them at the same time. I can not just go back to the old version, because I want to keep the majority of the part version that is up to date.

How do you export multiple Creo Illustrate figures to a PDF?

I just added a couple of dozen files (~100k bytes each) to Windchill using the "drag and drop to Windows File Explorer" method.I can see these newly-added files in the File Explorer window that is enhanced by the Windchill add-in. However, I cannot see the newly-added files in the Windchill's "Navigator" HTML browser window.  Is there a significant sync delay (hours?) between these?Refreshing the Navigator browser window doesn't make any difference. The files are still not visible after 2 hours.  My internet connection is solid.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.4.0I am making a drawing for an assembly. I want to be able to change the appearances/colors of various parts for different drawing views (the drawing views have their "Display style" set to "Shading With Edges"). This way I can highlight the different parts in each drawing view.To accomplish this I have created multiple bodies of each part. Each body has a different appearance/color assigned to it. I then have a family table in each part that can suppress/resume each one of the bodies. In the assembly I have multiple simplified representations that use the various instances of each part. This allows the different appearances/colors of each part to show up in each of the simplified representations. This works great in the model, but the different appearances/colors do not show up properly in the drawing views. The colors are all wrong in the drawing. Hello PTC community,I am using Creo Simulate (version 7) to perform the following FEA study. I need to idealize four Guy wires within the genset exhaust and silencer assembly that will help stabilize the chimney when high wind loads might be experienced. The four Guy wires are meant to be attached to the frame which is supposed to be mounted onto the flange of the top most part of the chimney as shown in the pictures attached.I have tried single and multiple beam elements till now but both of them behave unnaturally. I have used a rigid connection at the top for connecting frame and the beam elements and have used fixed translation free rotation for all at the bottom point (ground) of the beam. Please see attached some of the pictures that will help communicate better.For the single beam element, when wind loading is experienced, two ropes must be in tension like state while the opposite two must behave different to these. Hello Community,   I just got stuck on an issue and was hoping that perhaps someone here could help me. I am using the QueryNamedPropertyHistory function for a property.   Getting this data, I want to loop it over and use each value for something.   Now, the issue I am facing is that the infotable data shape being used for the QueryNamedPropertyHistory is "dynamic".   It has the "timestamp" column and then the value column with is named after the property. This makes it so I cant just do:   const propertyValues = Things[EntityName].QueryNamedPropertyHistory({ ***params*** }); propertyValues.rows.toArray().forEach((element) => { let propertyValue = element.value; let propertyTimestamp = element.timestamp; });   As the "value" column changes name based on the property name.   I know you can do something like:  Things[DynamicThing][DynamicProperty]   But is something similar possible in my use case? Hello   I'm using the generative design application within creo 9 (9.0.3.0). When I've done my optimization and want to look at the stresses in the final design I can't see anything, It's only one homogenous colour. This also applies to the initial simulation results.    I have tried removing all of my config options but that did not help.        Has anybody encountered something similar? So, when I open up creo 2.0, it says that I need to register to Quality Agent and after I click "yes" it shows error *0x00000013* and click "OK" and I got crash.. So I hope, you'll answer on this threat and I'll be very thankful for support.*You can see the image as proof..*

Even though I have declared two values for all variables that are iterative Mathcad Prime 8 is still pushing this error "Ranges with units must specify the second value in the range", please advise and thank you!  

We've been having a bit of trouble allowing offsite folks to be able to access licenses for Creo (we're using V9.0). The IT folks have tightened up access to the network, and thus the random assignment of ports that is normal for the ptc_d daemon is not working well. lmadmin is okay, because that is at the "standard" 7788 port. I'd seen posts on these forums implying that I could add port to the end of the DAEMON line in the license file and that it would thereafter use that port for the ptc_d daemon. I did this, with 7799, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect. Is this the correct method to specify that second port? It deviates from the method suggested by Flexura, but I figured this is PTC and they have their own setup for licensing. Am I wrong?   P.S. I know it is possible to set up the firewall to allow communication with ptc_d.exe and lmadmin.exe, but I'm just looking at the port issue at the moment.

Hi all, I am working on automating few flows in Creo 8.0.3  using jlink.Is there a way to identify if a model has been modified in creo? I have tried few apis provided in jlink toolkit documentation - GetIsModified() and GetVersionStamp(). Although the output of these methods depend on 'save' action triggered by users. I am looking for a way to track changes in files since the beginning of the session and to identify if any modification in sub-assembly or components changes the parent assembly as well.  Java provides a way to track file changes in a directory using WatchServiceI am successfully able to identify if a sub-assembly or its parent has been modified by registering the workspace and track changes using this method. Are there any limitations to this approach? And is this how creo tracks changes in a model? Thanks

PTC CREO parametric version 6need to flatten the flightI modelled flight screw in CREO parametric with variable pitch it has revolution of 810 degree. for manufacturing purpose I need to flatten the screw flight. I tried full flight screw to be flatted by using flatten quilt, it failed, again I tried to flatten first 360 degree it was flattened but I did not get exact dimension in flatten quilt. is there any way to do the model in sheet metal or part modelling I attached image for your reference. I did not  get exact dimension it differs with flatten quilt and helical screw. 1.unflatten quilt2.flattent quilt   

Hi, We try to get outline curve length. (outline curve mean highlight in picture) Our solution is simple.  1. create section 2. get section curve 3. get curve length   But, section curve have all curve. When I drag and drop a file to my Windchill Documents folder using Windows File Explorer, the following Windchill Desktop Integration pop-up window prompts me to associate attributes with this newly introduced file.One of the attributes on which the pop-up seeks guidance is file name.  My first reaction is "the file name is obvious: the name of the file I just dragged in".But then I realized that Windchill is probably giving me an opportunity to rename the dragged-in file to something else, so I renamed the file to something else. But afterwards if I hover the cursor on the newly-added file using Windows File Explorer (which should give me the file's complete path including the file extent) I see my old file name, not the modified name.So my question is: why does the File Attributes pop-up give me an opportunity to rename a file if Windchill plans to retain the old file name?  Why would Windchill try to manage dual file names for the same file?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030I am unable to upload the CAD model to the windchill through Creo Parametric, getting error while the time of Checkin into the Creo.and the Creo workspace getting logout automatically.Here are the errors that I faced"Operation failed not connected to the server.""An exception has occurred in processing server response.""Check failed object details in Event Management.""This exception may corrupt the active workspace and may need windchill administrator assistance for resolution."

I have been researching the ability to populate a WTpart with all sorts of attributes and then link documents to that WT using a described by link.  The end goal is to have these attributes show in many WTdocs without having to retype enteries (example: serial number, description, sales order, etc)  I can get the Help example: "describedBy@wt.part.WTPartDescribeLink~describes^wt.part.WTPart~name" to work perfectly....but when I try other attributes, like ones I have created, it will not fetch the information and display in the wtdoc.  What an I doing wrong?  I reached out to Tech Support on Monday, still waiting to hear anything from them.
