Hi, everyone. I have a question when I trying to make a Thingworx smart city demo clone like this video and website ThingWorx Industrial IoT Platform - Creating Smart Building Applications - PTC Demo Video Gallery | IoT start from 3:00 to 3:20 and SmartCitiesDataView . And my question is how do I do like the video shows, how to interactive with the lights and rooms.For example.1. when I select the room and the Lights controller become green because all lights in this room are on, when I click the green button then the lights will turn of like this  and the button turn to gray from green.2.  When I click the red light the Light controller will turn to red and the service light button turn to red. Dose any one know how to achieve this goal? Please tell me how to do or some hits.I know if use javascript and HTML, CSS to do this is not that hard even I can use frontend framework like React or Vue to do this, but in thingworx

As per this thread - same problem   Yes, I can confirm that this issue is present again in 8.0.1.0 Oddly, the scaling seams only to appear, when a browser window is pop-out (e.g. you click a link, that opens a new window with Windchill). But this instantly scales also the content of the docked window. (before and after) I tried the solution/workaround described by llie, but unfortunately this did not solve the problem.

We have created custom material as per our company standard, we tried to call this material description in drawing note. We have the syntax note &ptc_material_name to call the name. Is there any syntax to call description?I also tried &PTC_ASSIGNED_MATERIAL:att_body but it gives result as PTC_MASTER_MATERIALKindly go through the attached image and let me know how to find the syntax code for this highlighted cell.If I could able to find the syntax note for particular cell or column, it would be helpful for not only in materials but also in working on dimensionsThanks in advance.   

Is there a good way to remove the borders without an outside software? I have created a mapkey in creo and need to call in using VB APIThe ipfcsession.RunMacro() requires "MapKey Value minus shortcut and name" to be passed as argument.Where to obtain this mapkey value for a mapkey i created in creo?The documentation says Tools->Options but this is very less detail..i cant find any in options dialog box   

I am trying to find the min/max value at each index across 2 matricies.The min/max function finds the smallest/largest value across both matricies at every index, which is not what i want.. PNG and mathcadfile attached for clarity. I am using mathcad prime 9.0.0.0. I have tried several syntaxes (shown in the attachment), but to no luck. Does anyone know the syntax for this? Cheers,Sebastian

Hello All,   I have setup custom .hol files to control my hole notes for standard holes.  I am using the &PATTERN_NO to show the number of holes.  I have two issues that I need help with based on my picture, &PATTERN_NO is my first parameter in my hole callout format:     1) Is there a way to have Creo omit the pattern number if there is only 1 hole?  If I have only a single hole, I do not want 1X to show up.  I found an old thread from 2018 about this, but no one gave a final solution.    2) Is there a way to get rid of the space between 1 and the X shown in my picture.  If I remove the space in my .hol file after &PATTERN_NO, it doesn't recognize the parameter any longer and my note will say "&PATTERN_NOX".  Per ASME Y14.5, there should not be a space.   Thanks

I've updated some files that are currently in my Resulting Objects list in Windchill. Is there a way to get these files to update to the latest version? It seems the files under the Resulting Objects list doesn't auto-update.  The only work around is to delete them and re-upload the latest version of the files. Please see attached screenshot for more clarity 

I wrote a small program to simulate astro dynamics.The program crashes (program terminate and disappear from screen) when I increase the number of iterations and celestial bodies. No error message! Can someone help? I can share my program. Thanks Serge

As an api call needs to finish, I wonder how to run code asyncroniously in a thingworx service?   I tried to write an async function, but I got the error in the image bellow, writing use 'esversion: 8' did not work.

Hi, I am creating a design for a box inspired from a drawing. I have been trying for a few hours but have been unable to create a handle, a bend in a normal part like the one shown in the image below. I have tried tuborial bend but it has been quite confusing and unsuccessful. There were no YouTube tutorials on this or anything in PTC university. It would be great if you could help. I have managed to do a lot but am now stuck on this. It is meant to be a leather type material which you can imagine bending. Do not worry about the material as right now I would just like it to appear as a handle which you can grab the box with on the 3D design. Your help would be greatly appreciated.  Best, E.

Hello,   Is there any method, we can trigger a subscription if the ThingWorx platform is going to shut down?   If not, is it possible to get the date and time when the last platform Shutdown happened? Hi, Can you suggest me some process to download and edit CAD from Windchill. Team I don't see a CADSYNCHRONIZED field in QueryBuilder PartUsage WTPartUsageLink.  Why? We recently changed our default thumbnail size - so I needed to regenerate thumbnails.For this I did RegenerateLatestRepresentationThumbnails in WVS  Job Scheduler Adminstrator (at Site level). That seemed to be working until I realized it was starting at the same place every day.  We have a scheduled backup that stops everything while it's backing up - that must be what is causing this? Any suggestions?  Why is it regenerating the same thumbnails if it's only supposed to be doing latest?It gets through about 8000, and I've got a LOT more than that.

I have recently upgraded old server's ( x2) with new S2019. I installed the latest Version 6.15.132.0 of KEPServerEX and the backup configuration of my existing installation. I have an assortment of ROC RTU's and Allen Bradly Control Logix PLC's. All of the remote devices communicate but one of the PLC's won't update the tags? The configuration file is the same and works on the old installation but nothing will update for this one device on the new S2019's.

So this is one of these "I'm pretty sure this isn't possible but I'll ask in case anyone has any tips" things. I have a client that asked me if it's possible in Creo to cover a part surface with a textured pattern, sort of like the "rough" appearance, in a way that will affect the physical surface of the part, and not just the rendering. There is third party software that can do it, but he wanted to know if it's possible in Creo. Basically, the texture should 3D print. I can imagine trying to do this with some Flatten Quilt Deformation and some pattern work, but it would be a LOT of work for each part, especially since he would prefer a somewhat random pattern and not something repeating like a Fill pattern. So yeah, the ideal here would be to convert the "Rough" appearance into 3D geometry, but I haven't heard of such a function. But maybe it's available in the Additive Manufacturing Extension that I don't have access to? Any tips?

(This is only a puzzle to fun! )  Tokoro. All distances of the points to be Integer Make a circle with its center (0,0) and radius r. Make five points on the circle with all distances of the points to be integer. The puzzle is to find the minimum of r. Next, the same puzzle except the number of points are 10. I would like to find out if the "Advanced Tags" functionality is part of the Kepware Manufacturing Suite. I can only find the list of included drivers but not whether other modules are also part of the suite. I hope someone here knows. Thank you.
