Hi all, todays question: copying a part already in the assembly remember, transitioning from Creo 3 to Creo 9.. I used to be able to select a part, then copy (CTRL+C) & paste (CRTL+V) it in the assembly..  I then  only need to pick the missing constraints for the new part..  (No need to go thru the whole 'browse for the desired part'..) Now (Creo 9) While I can select the part, the copy function seem to only copy some surface.. What changed? Can this still be done? 

I imported a lathe tool into Creo parametric 10.1, and whenever I run the simulation, the tool above the workpiece has a distance almost equal to the radius of the insert tip. How can I make the tool execute the simulation correctly?I went through this process by creating parameters, defining the tool size, and still, I am not able to achieve the desired simulation result

Hello,  I do not have a wiring schematic for my harness I need to model in 3D, however I have a table of this wiring harness that I would like to use to automate the creation of a wiring harness. In this table, I have wiring to, from, and what the wire gauge is as well. There is some other information however that doesn't seem necessary.I see that it's possible to use a  .NWF file to autoroute, however I do not have this. Would it be possible to use this data to create a .NWF File in order to automatically set up the wires in creo? This would reduce my workflow immensely. 

As per the original post.    The company that I work for, is using Windchill Release: 11.0 M030-CPS11 with Creo 6.0.4 I wonder if we can go to Creo 7.0.  Do you know where I can get that info? Thanks  

Hello All,  We are moving forward to understand how advanced tags can create value to our DPM and AMU Environment. Lately we have come to the idea that reading the tool life would be beneficial to us. We are using MTConnect protocol to monitor our Mazak Assets.  Checking with Mazak their MT connect code, does not support the tool life, i would like to know if someone is currently monitorizing this information.

I am drawing a blank on how to model a coiled extension spring.  The simplest example would be an extension spring wrapped around a cylinder.  Any suggestions?  I am currently on CREO 7.

I tried to export the complex tags (advanced tags) created in one instance to other using Export/Import CSV it is not taking the mapped tags within them. How can i get it done with the mapped tags along with complex tag. 

Hi,Having trouble adding an annotation note to a family table where the text assigned to the family table instance controls what's shown in the note for each instance, The instances are only displaying the note for the generic and when I modify the family table values they don't display in the model.I want to have the general notes driven from the family table instances and the text in the image below be the values that are shown on the drawings.What's the proper way to add annotation unattached notes to a family table and have the ability to change the text displayed in the note based on what's assigned to the instance value?

Hello gurus, I can not find a solution for specific GWT table refresh after the Wizard is completed.  The FormResult is defined in my own Processor that works perfectly.  I attached video where the refresh is not done and I'm looking for a solution how to do so same as check-in operation does. (view in My Videos) I need to refresh the gwt table but I can not find solution.  I use following article but it does not work as I expect. FormResult.setNextAction() - CS122493   //(FormResult) result.createAndAddDynamicRefreshInfo(latestWTP, oldWTP, NmCommandBean.DYNAMIC_UPD);    FormResult.setNextAction() also does not work as I would like or I didn't find correct javascript function to do so.    Any suggestion?    PetrH

I have a Prime 7.0 worksheet with two matrices (of immediate interest). They are w [1x3] and P [3x2].I am trying to manipulate and ensure that they have the same number of rows. And trying to do it with a nested loop. BUT the inner loop seems to work once and then returns the matrix. The outer loop never increments to the next step. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but can't see it.If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. I have a scenario where I am executing a  child service (inputs: ThingShape, Thing and Boolean) from another wrapper service. Hi All I want to configure a Custom Data Utility to populate the value for an attribute that will be displayed as a column in a Table View.I tried the getDataValue() and getPlainDataValue() methods of DefaultDataUtility and AttributesTableDataUtility but they are not getting triggered when the Table View with the Attribute column is rendered. It works only when the attribute is placed in a Layout.Any suggestion on how to achieve the requirement?@HelesicPetr  

Hello.I am implementing mashup for a client and he wants to display on screen various bar charts, similar to those  you see in the picture. I used Themable  Bar Chart in Thingworx 9.3I used collection widget, each collection cell has only has this single chart widget.The problem is that client screen has small resolution and I can not allow to widget to have 32px padding. (see picture)Is there a way to remove/modify this two CSS rule (:host{} and [part~="chart-layout"])  from Shadow DOM?Thank you.Illya.

Hi,I am currently working on a project where we want the pageNumber to be controled via a session variable.When for example selecting an item and then clicking back, we want the last viewed pagination page to show. The property pageNumber is updated correctly when switching pagination page. Does anyone have an old PDF copy of the Relational Editor - Help Topic Collection from the Pro/E and/or Wildfire days? I am able to find old copies of these for things like "Pro/Program", Pro/NC, or "Detail Drawings" but curious if anyone has one on the relational editor they can share?    

Here's an odd one. We just upgraded from Windchill 11.0 to 12.1 and one of the custom reports is not working. After some investigating, it appears that the report only works using the default XSL file "templates\reports\xslfo.xsl" for the custom URL. Changing the name to anything else results in a report not loading correctly. Anyone know what is causing this? I currently have a support ticket open, but progress seems to be very slow.
