Hi community I have a advanced question.  Is it possible to populate a list with parts from the Uploaded folder? The Model Resources selection in Studio does the same thing. But I want the View user to be able to do it, without having to hardcode the model names in JS. If we could filter the models by some part of their name, that would be even better. Thank you for your help! Best wishes Alex

Hi all, I ask the community before PTC...We use CREO 7.0.2.0.We use datum point in a sketch, to figure location of several concrete mass.We put an hole table, edit the point tag according the CS21713 tips But in the drawing, we would like to show them using a leader note for making a visual link between the hole table and the view.How can we retrieve the point name in the leader note?I try the &Name but it doesn't work.Second question:In the table hole, can we use relation, like in repeat region?We would like to use a relation in order to simplify the name of each point.For example:Point name : 001_SE08_114Point name simplified : SE08 Regards

Does anyone know if it is possible to read modbus device ID objects using Kepware's Modbus TCP/IP driver? I am referring to the data you access using modbus function code 43 (e.g. vendor name, product code, firmware revision, etc.). I can only find references to the four typical modbus tags types (output coils, input coils, internal registers, and holding registers) when browsing through the driver's manual.

We have some CAD Documents that have been renumbered with an appended "-O" before their file suffix, i.e. "12345.CATPart" renumbered to "12345-O.CATPart" to avoid conflicts during an old migration. When we add a CATProduct with this file in its structure to a workspace through a WGM on a machine with CATIA V5 installed, the downloaded CAD data is updated and the structure reflects the renumber when we open it in CATIA. However, when we add to a workspace through WGM on a machine without CATIA installed and attempt to open the file in Enovia, the structure does not reflect the renumbered objects and tells the user that there are missing files.  This seems to have started after our upgrade to 12.1.2.6, though it's possible it was happening before and users just never reported/noticed it, as unlikely as that seems. Can anyone confirm that CATIA is required to be installed when downloading the content for the CAD data to be updated with the renumbered references? 

Our company is running Creo 8.0.6.0 with WindchillStandalone Windchill via Chrome, no problems.Windchill window on Chrome, laptop computer, laptop display, no problems.Windchill window on Chrome, laptop computer, extended to second monitor display, display problem.On the Creo browser (Chrome) There is a second Windchill window appearing atop the first Windchill window.  (See image) Also, if I am on the laptop screen and I drag the window over to the external monitor, then the problem shows up..

When viewing WC files using the add-in enhanced Windows File Explorer can displayed columns be locked in width?  Locked in my preferred sequence from left to right?Said differently, whenever I look at my WC-managed files can the default display always look like this:  

I am attempting to change the name and number of a WTDocument via SQL. It is my understanding that these values are shared across all iterations of a WTDocument and the values are saved in WTDocumentMaster. However, when I update the column of WTDocumentMaster, those changes do not reflect on Windchill. I also receive a persistence error when attempting to edit these documents via the UI. Is there any guidance as to how I can get the document name and numbers updated without causing issue? If i can have a family table with a code number registered for each instance in my ERP system, what is the best option for PDM: have a family table with every single instance and its code numbers, and use it with repeat region in the drawing; or just put a handmade table on the drawing?

This is a share not a question. As you can tell, I am revaulting my system to enable automatic folder creation and move data to a new volume. I've opted to feed the beast on off hours by altering vaulting rules and then revaulting so as not to impact users during the day. I needed a query to estimate the size of the job I was kicking off by context so I can control it. I started with this query from knowledge base: How to find vault file name and location of all objects in vault for specific context in Windchill PDMLink  I generalized to just give me a count but this only handles 3 object types, something was missing. Looking at HolderToContent table, I can see it was DerivedImage where most of my files are from which makes sense. Note this chart is in log scale so published content is about 10x everything else. Makes me want to consider flipping on publish as .pvz. Everything else is small potatoes so I did not include in my query so this gets the top 4 content items. I ran this

Hello,I have a question about manufacturing family parts.I have 2 parts ruled by a family table. Simple parts, one with a M8 threaded hole and the other with a 8.4 countersink hole. This is the only difference between the 2 versions.The 2 versions/functions cannot cohexist in the generic part because the threaded hole and the countersink are both chamfered. The geometry for the chamfer on the threaded hole is destroy by the countersink fonction and vice versa for the chamfer and the countersink. In the generic part ONLY i am forced to desacivate one of the 2 fonctions. No problem with childs parts. Due to this specification is it possible to have one manufacuring assembly with a "selection " version threaded or version 8.4 ? Or am i forced to have 2 manufacuring assembly with both "child" parts ? Thanks in advance

Hi, I have added a new test result field called "Test Execution Date" and added this field to the visible fields of the Test Result type.But when I add this new field to the gateway mapping file where the predefined Verdict and Annotation fields are mapped:<map name="Test Result"><field internal="Verdict" external="Verdict" direction="out" /><field internal="Test Execution Date" external="Test Execution Date" direction="out" /><field internal="Annotation" external="Annotation" direction="out"><default> </default></field></map>I get an error when I try to export a document:Error: MKS124814: Cannot show view information: MKS6411939: Field "Test Execution Date" does not exist. Any idea how I can get this field into my Word export?

Hi, when running ptcstatus.bat from a users PC, it writes "counted" at all licenses.    running it from the server it writes who are using the license and etc. Any one know what setting to adjust.  I guess it is either the VPN or Firewall that need to allow access.   I hope someone can help me, thanks

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode 8.0.7.0Hi,While running a Multi-Objective Design Study, we find that a regen backup of the model is stored in the working directory before being deleted.We do not have "regen_backup_using_disk" set to "yes" in our config file, so this was surprising to see. Is it possible to turn off this feature of temporarily saving a backup?The Study is 20+ hours and we're wondering if turning this off will reduce this time?Thank you.
