While still getting used to Prime 7  I stumbled across an article that was a detailed listing of all the differences between the Legacy Symbolics Engine and the New Symbolics Engine.  It detailed format differences, equation and variable ordering changes, computational changes, etc., and was many pages long.  I didn't save it and now cannot find it again.  Does anyone have a reference or link to that?

Hello, fellow CAD enthusiasts!I recently started working as a CAD Administrator (if two months ago counts as recent). They hired me for my Reliable work ethic, and my can do attitude, and not (I repeat, NOT) for my skills within Creo. And so I've come to you all in a great time of need. Here's what I'm hoping to do: Using Tables within a drawing, I want to find a way to automatically display what .prt the active model was copied from (if any). I'm doing this as a special request from our machine shop, who confided in me that every time they have to create one of our engineered parts for the first time, they end up having to reconstruct all of their tooling code, which wastes so, so much time! So what do you say? would you happen to know a thing or two about how we could make this happen?Thank you everyone.

Hello Have four j-link synchronize apps developed in creo 2. Went to Creo 6 from Creo 2. Recompiled using the OTK.jar with java 6. Worked with no problem. With Creo 8 they failed to start. Recompiled the apps with Java 8 with the OTK.jar from creo 8. Still does not work they fail to start. Compiled install_test this app will not start.. The config in the folder otk_java_appls\install_test has this config "regen_failure_handling resolve_mode" is this needed? this config setting "jlink_java_command C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_333\jre\bin\java.exe" does not seam to do anything. Do not have it in my Creo 6 and it works. Peter

As of now it is possible to solve Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE) symbolically in Mathcad, as long as: -the ODE is linear (does not involve powers or products of the sought function or its derivatives), and -the coefficients of the derivatives are constant (do not depend on the independent variable). This means you can solve: The result is: Check out the attachments for further information.   The solver "LODEsolve" (reference file for insertion in your sheet) and an example usage file "LM_20200923_LODEsolve" are attached. If you're using: - Mathcad 11, use LODEsolve.mcd (it will NOT work in Mathcad 15) and check out example file LM_20200923_LODEsolve.mcd. - Mathcad 15 use LODEsolve.xmcd  and check out example file LM_20200923_LODEsolve.xmcd. Hello Comunnity :), I'm thinking how to manage some alerts in TWX and for this I need a subscription. If I've created a subscription in order to send one emain when a alert trigger, if I create the subcription in a thing template, this subscription is gonna be repeated in each thing? So if I have 10 things with this subscrition(any alert) I will have 10 subscription checking the conditions for send one email, for example? So this can be inefficient, It's better to have this subscrition in a external thing? Thank you Luis.

HiIs there a way to get the client screen resolution on Load of Mashup, such that based on it, Mashup made for that particular Screen resolution can be loaded.As we know a perfect responsive Mashup can't be made since there are less Responsive Widgets present in Thingworx, eventually end up showing the scroll bars in the Mashup.Thanks,

Sometimes you have to work with XML in Thingworx, e.g. when processing the result of a SOAP Webservice call.This can be done using E4X, but it's not comfortable to use, especially when there are namespaces involved. Therefore, I took a publicly available (GPLed) script which converts the whole reply to JSON and adapted it to Thingworx. It creates an object from the XML and returns the JSON.stringify representation of it. You can take it and extend it to  your needs. If you know what you need from the reply and E4X, using E4X directly is probably faster, as it does need the intermediate object and JSON creation, but this is much more convenient (you can work with either the object or the JSON). Beware this only works with valid XML, so an error message returned from a failed WS call, which could be HTML will not be parsed.The thing was exported from TWX 9.2 but should work with older versions as well.

I recently installed Mathcad 8.0 and asked for a 30 day trial license, but it came out the message "You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type", even though I've never requested it

I am getting an invalid host license error. I re-ran MathCAD License Setup wizard but it did not solve the issue. I opened my license file and see that it lists a CPU code. This has worked on this computer for years. I went to the cmd prompt and typed ipconfig /all. The physical address of the same computer that has been running MathCAD does not match what is in the license file. I don't understand why the physical address is different now as I made no changes to my computer other than upgrading windows. I can't run MathCAD 15 until this is resolved. Can you help? Thanks.

I am creating service document library using Windchill classification explorer based on the attribute type & values. Our service documents are stored in MSword & PDF files and i believe it is unable to create classification explorer library using document attributes. To avoid this issue i have created WT Part with same document attributes (Service doc is attached to related objects) and created classification library. Is that correct approach? Do we have any other way to create library in Windchill? Can we create WT part for document objects, till now i have created only for CAD files, share your knowledge on this?

Hey guys, I'm on Creo Parametric 6.0 and I'm would like to know where can I disable the perpendicularity when I place bubbles in drawings. As you can see below, there is the perpendicularity symbol showing up which makes the placement harder.Thanks in advance.

We are unable to copy paste the activities in running project schedule. Copy and paste available during project plan creation (Defined and scheduled state)  Copy and paste NOT available during project running (Running and Inprocess)  Since copy and paste feature is not available, we are creating existing activities repeatedly, when required. Any work around and am I missing something? Thank youSathish Rosario

I'm using MathCAD Prime 8.0.I want to highlight the results when the results reach some limit.For example, the calculated result is in white normally, and when it reaches the limit it's in red to give an alarm. 😃

Hi,There are projects that are deployed from one Environment to another Environment by Extension method.1st Env ---> Entities are Exported by Extension type 2nd Env ---> Extension is imported in to the EnvNow these Entities can't be edited, is there any way we can edit the Entities, mainly Mashups... there are few bugs need to be fixed over hereis there any configuration that can be done to edit the entities that are imported by extension in this scenario ?Thanks,Shashi.

I properly purchased Prime 7.0 last February.  But I can't get any support, submit a bug report, or upgrade to Prime 8, because the first thing I must do is enter the Product Code.  I enter it - it's right here in my purchase documents along with my SON, SCN, etc.   But... I immediately get the message that itis not a valid Product Code.  I get nowhere, cannot even get through to the listed phone number.   Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kicking around OpenDJ for my Dev server of Windchill 12.0.2. Since LDAP is only going to be storing users now (right?), is there a preferred convention for the LDAP base DN?  Does it matter anymore? I stuck with o=ptc like we did for previous installations. Is the distinction between Enterprise and Administrative gone as well?

Is ThingWorx on-prem validated against MS/Windows patches? If so, is this posted information posted anywhere?

Hi, What I'm trying to do is:use a single dependent node linked to one or more surfaces with a rigid constraint, to enable a set of displacement constraints (or freedoms, or prescribed displacements) at the dependent node, for use with boundary constraints or guided movements in large deformation nonlinear analysis. The specific application is for calculating plastic force-displacement characteristics.the same, but with weighted links, for cases where I don't want to overly constrain components around the constraintAre either of these things possible in a nonlinear large deformation analysis? What are the workarounds I need to do? I'm aware of the workaround using a spring or beam for Creo Simulate's limitation of not being able to apply a constraint to the dependent node of a weighted link as described here: Rigid link versus weighted link - PTC Community  However I've found that if I try to use a beam or a spring in a nonlinear large deformation analysis

Hi all, I'm using the Menu bar widget for navigation in my Thingworx app. I'd like to implement an "Info"-button into the secondary navigation items of the main menu, which would navigate the user to mashup providing info and help related to currently selected mashup. It would be nice to have this as modal popup over the currently selected mashup.For example in the pic below, user has selected the "Factory" mashup from the Primary Navigation items, and it is open in the view:Now when user clicks the "Info"-button, I would like to have the "Info"-mashup modal over the selected factory mashup in the view area. Is such functionality possible to implement with the current menu bar in Thingworx 9.3.3? I know I can implement it in by including the info button and a navigation function into each mashup, but it would be nice to have it in the master and menu bar instead.
