Hi Team,   Unable to understand how to pass values infotable as an input to AddStreamEntries and use in our custom service.   Can anybody help me how to use this service in our custom logic?   ThingWorx version is 9.0.   Thanks in advance.

I want to define a catalog part from a supplier with the correct mass.   I will need to make a family part for the whole different variants. Obviously, when I define my simplified part of the gas spring, I wont have the correct mass. I remembered to measure the volume of the part, and change the density of the part. But I'm struggling with it.   I created a relation to calculate the density, according to the volume of the part, and the mass from catalog. mp_density=catalog_mass/VOLUME:FID_VOLUME But the final mass of the part, remains the default, don't know why, but I'm unable to change it.     Any idea?

Hi Folks,   Is there any out of the box Automated testing for Thingworx UI/ Mashup?  As far as I know there is no such OOTB feature but wanted to confirm if PTC has come up with this feature lately.   Also, please suggest some solution in case need to develop custom automated testing of Thingworx UI. may be using other applications like selenium, cucumber, etc. Note: I have 40+ mashups application, so can't accommodate any complex customization as its going to take lot of effort.   Thanks in advance.

Hi All,     I am planning to host Thingworx Foundation 8.4 version on Azure VM. As per the System Requirements of Thingworx 8.4, we need 4 cores, Memory 16 GB & Disk Space 100GB. These configuration are also available in B-Series and D-series as well.    Can I use B4ms and D4s_v3 Series for hosting Thingworx 8.4? Is there any foreseen issues with these series? Kindly let me know.

By default Model Managers Quick Search tool only looks at Unique ID strings. Is it possible to broaden the Quick Search to include more attributes?

HI,  I am trying to implement live cctv stream in twx mashup using video player or webframe widget. But my cctv media server is restricted and that server functions internally and twx is deployed on aws. And our clients will be using the web browsers at various locations in different countries. My idea is like whitelisting Twx server ip on my media server so twx can access feeds, we can provide it as URL's so I can use it in widgets.   My doubt is whitelisting twx is enough for this implementation ?? , I don't know about the actual widget functionality .. whether twx will call those links or it will be called from clients ip ?    suggest best implementation idea's 🙂 Thanks in advance !!

Hello I'm new to Mathcad and have just taken over a file from someone at work. It runs fine but I am stuck manually copy pasting the results into an excel sheet. I want to automate the process and have tried using the WRITEEXCEL function but I can't seem to get it to work. See attached photo.   I believe it has something to do with the function qp(z) not being a matrix or array but I'm not sure. I've also tried defining M:=qp(z) and using M in the WRITEEXCEL function but that gave me a "variable is not defined error".

Even if we created a mashup template, how to assign it to every mashup?? What is the use of mashup template entity?

Hi,I'm going to upgrade TWX (better "Manual In Place Upgrade for Windows") from 9.0 to 9.1.Currently we have PostgreSQL + Influx.Comparing the Release Matrix, 9.0 vs 9.1, I've got: 9.0: 9.1:   Is it a mandatory precondition the migration of both databases, PostgreSQL and Influx, when switching from version 9.0 to 9.1? When Ever Kepware is getting the data from the DB/SQL Server, the tags are getting created by the name "table7_channel1_device1_property_name", I don't want table7 in the tag names. I can't rename the 470 tags by manually modifying each and every tag.What is the best solution?Thanks,Shashi Preetham.

I was curious if it's possible to semi-automate the generation of model targets.  I have a lot of different models that may have some small differences, but are largely the same.  If I manually set the model target for a single model, is there any way to retrieve the camera position/orientation from the model target and then automatically generate model targets by providing another model and the desired camera position/orientation? 

I am working on a calculation sheet to design a bridge deck overhang.  The last check I need to do is to calculate the cutoff length of the supplemental bars that are used.  In order to do this, you need to solve/find the location where the applied moments become less than the moment resistance of the overhang without the supplemental bars. The only way I can think to achieve this is to use a solve block, however, this becomes a problem if/when the applied moments are less than moment resistance at the cutoff location.  See the images below. For this example the variable Mr_co is the moment resistance at the cut-off location.  I have set up functions to calculate the ultimate strength moments for 2 different cases. As you can see by the graph, the ultimate strength moment for the one case does not quite reach the cut-off moment resistance.  I would like to set up the solve block so that if/when this happens, the return is 0, but I am not sure if this is possib

Hi,  I'm using the Analytics server Things to create services that train an analytics model and utilize predictive scoring. Currently, I have 3 variables (motor1 speed, motor2 speed, and distance) and want to be able to predict motor speeds for both motors 1 and 2 given a specific distance input. I am currently only able to use the services to create a predictive model with one 'goal field', and therefore 1 output. Is there any way to predict more than one variable through the analytics services?  Thanks!

I am repeatedly getting this error in application log while importing project. And the import is getting failed. It is pointing " [1,018] " for media, users, modeltags as well. How to rectify this?   1. Hey, I have attached a screenshot below in which I have created a mashup with 2 text fields namely "Name" and "Age".  I want to record the data entered by the users and export the recorded data in form of CSV file when the user clicks on the data export widget.
