Hi all!   I saw Liveworx 2018 demo with PAT with bidirectional connection. (MQTT channel) I am ok with EDGE -> Thignworx connection. I understand also how Egress message is working.   My question is if it is even possible to send request to PAT from Thingworx without any EDGE based trigger? I saw remote service on the example WeatherThing, but cannot find any reference in code.   How it can be done in PAT?   Regards, Adam    

Customer has been using older AspenTech and we are getting data in bulk queries (via Linked Server) through ODBC (JDBC had bugs that couldn't get resolved).  Customer is upgrading their AspenTech to latest version and I'm praying there is a better connection option like we do with OSI Pi.  Anyone with experience with this product could provide tips?

I have a pattern in a family table the does not work correctly.  The group is shown below in red, but the round does not get pulled through to all the pattern members.  The model below is the generic.     Below is another instance from the family table where the pattern worked for about half of the pattern, then stopped.   I would appreciate any thoughts.  Thanks

Hello all,   I had to reinstall ThingWorx foundation after I installed ThingWorx Flow. I used the same configuration that I used in the first installation and only changed the host name. I updated this new host name in the ThingWorx Flow configuration following the guidelines described in this post and in the official documentation .    However, when I try to access to ThingWorx I received the error described in the Tomcat log (attached), and RabbitMQ outputs this error in its log file:      When I run the command "pm2 ls" I can see that all the apps are up and running (see the image below).    Can anyone please help me with this issue?   I attached the platform-settings.json as .txt file.   Thank you

Is there a way to make CREO 3.0 display the Model Properties --> UNITS in the Information bar at the bottom (or anywhere else for that matter)? It would be nice to see [mmKs] displayed somewhere on the information bar, or [IPS] or whatever the case may be. When doing an assembly, it is extremely annoying to have parts that do not match to completely ravage the work just because one forgot to change the units properly. Thank you, Colin.

Hi,  I'm using the 3rd party js ui libaray to create the custom widget .  But the the <svg> element in the original ui libary become <i> and the sub dom is not rendered in cusom widget .   Is there any magic rendering occurs when rendering customer widget ?    ------The  html of the original ui library-----     ---the html after rendering in customer widget---

Hi everybody,   Thingworx for sure supports concurrency. I quite often see all the different Thread IDs in the Script Log. But I reached a point in Thingworx Script Development where I get concurrent conflicts and race conditions. Where are the synchronisation primitives to handle this?   The use case: We have continous running machine providing it's data to twx via the KepServer. Tags of main interest are running meter, speed and timestamps of certain events.  Now we want to do some aggregation in memory and so I implemented an info table as property of the thing and a timer that frequently calls a service that just accumulates the total meters and the time to the last row of the infotable.   For certain events (e.g. change of reel) we now need to create a new row in the infotable and now I run into trouble, as the service to accumulate and the events leading to a new row are not on the same thread. Community,   I would like to be able to erase the drawing names from memory in the pull-down under Name.  Selecting the "-" will not erase the names from memory.  Can this be accompolished?  I am using Creo 6.0.0.0, and thanks in advance.    

I was trying to install License for Thingworx 8.5.5 which is running on Linux docker installed on Azure VM. I didn't have ptc license management credentials with proper access on the portal.  I followed these steps as mentioned in below link. https://github.com/babashyam3/Thingworx-8.5.5-Docker   Now after successfully launching Thingworx I was not able to change anything because license was not available. My challenge was not able to locate ThingworxPlatform folder in docker to get the PTC Device ID and put the "license_capability_response.bin" in that folder. Here's how I resolved this issue. 1. I got the PTC Device Id b running the service "GetInstanceId" which you can find under "Subsystem: LicensingSubsystem ( search "LicensingSubsystem" in search box in Thingworx".2.  I asked for the "license_capability_response.bin" from someone who had proper access to get it using PTC Device ID.3. Now using CMD in admin mode. I go to the folder where my "docker-compose-post

After a fresh install of Apache Tomcat 8.5.50, there are settings in the Tomcat Configuration dialog box for Java 9 Options (see below).  Is it best to clear these out, or should these default values be left in?

I've been wondering this for some time. The goal is that once you press the model item, a list of data will render on a 2D dropdown widget. As it stands, I know how to bind IoT data from ThingWorx over to gauges and 3d text on Vuforia Studios. However, due to a lack of documentation (a comprehensive API), I'm unable to discern if what I'm asking is even possible. At this point, I'm trying to discover a plausible solution through trial and error. Any help/insight is appreciated.

Hello, I would like to catch the first GOTO in CL file and output Z first (only for the first goto). In the CL I have: SPINDL / RPM, 7957.753876,  CLWRAPID GOTO / 835.8168781015, 779.7292319751, 30.0000000000 In the post-processed file I get (yes G1 because I forced not tot have G0): G1X835.817Y779.729Z30F9999 But I would like to have 2 different lines like below (I would like to have F1000 for example): G1Z30F1000 G1X835.817Y779.729Z30F9999 (I can repeat the same line like it is) Thanks for your help.  

Hello team I am working on file upload widget and allowing to upload multiple files, but once I click on upload button the items list did not hide or clear.   . 

scenario : when we are trying to write any service in composer, at that time we have an option below to go at some reference service, which is non-editable, i.e. there is nobody can write any text on that box by keyboard input. But there is one way, it can take input which is the input parameter of the above service when we click the arrow button and that box is already selected then it will take that text and put it in that text box. Real problem is there is no option there to retrieve it from there. As a working solution we need to go on that reference service to edit it.   Thingworx version : 8.4.3

Hi,   Actually, I have a use-case in which multiple tags are coming one after one from Azure IoT Hub in one JSON property which is overwriting every time with the property value and timestamp . The property name is populating in some other string property.   and my subscription is running on that JSON property.   I have to dynamically update all the properties as per JSON data arrives but sometimes what happens that the data of one property gets updated to some other property and hence it results in false data for all the properties.   As per my understanding, if somehow I can make this subscription like it will not execute next time until the current execution will not complete then maybe it can solve the issue of assigning false data to properties.   Can somebody help with this?   Thanks in advance. 

Hi, I installed thingworx flow successfully yesterday and ran command "pm2 ls" showed the complete components at the time .   However ,  today when I open the VM machine but found "pm2 ls" shows nothing.     What's I've tried:  1. run command "sc start RabbitMQ / rabbitmq.service" but it tells me the service is already running.    2. restart the workflow subsystem, but it doesn't help 3. I can access thingworx foundation with host and port which were specified when installing work flow, but I cannot open https://<host>:<port>/Thingworx/Composer/apps/flow/#/   If the workflow doesn't launch automatically,  how can I launch it manually ?    ---Version--- Thingworx 8.5.1 + Thingworx worx work flow 8.5.1 + Postgresql 10.11 + windows server 2016 .   Regards, Sean

Hi guys.  How do I turn code completion on and off in my composer?  I've been writing services and widgets for a couple years now and all of a sudden, code completion was turned on a couple weeks ago but then it went away.  How do I get it back?
