Hi, I want to take a part of input string and compare it with an existing string and store it. There are functions like split, splice , includes, etc in JS but I am unable to use them. How can I achieve the functionality?

We have a service for how to get a row count. In the same way can we get the number of values (type is String) of the specified column or all the columns from the infotable as the input to the service. Thanks  achitters

I am trying to show infotable result on chart and mapped the respective service to chart. When I am trying to specify the X-Axis properties,it's showing "No result found". But the data is loading on grid. I have attached the respective screenshots. Is it something like it's a bug or I am missing something.

Hi,   I am exploring the rest apis and java sdk apis for ThingWorx 8.5. I want to fetch the metadata of a Thing. I can do the same via REST api - <server/Thingworx/Things/{thing_name}. It returns json that contains all the services listed under key serviceMappings with their implementation under key serviceImplementations -     But the parallel java api on ConnectedThingClient getThing(<name>).getMetadata() returns _serviceDefinitionCollection and _serviceProcessors as null.  Am I missing anything here? How can I fetch the metadata for the Things' services ?   Update : Java sdk version latest - 6.1.0.679, ThingWorx Foundation version - 8.5

Hello All,   I have PTC Integrity 10.5 Client and Server. Using IRC 3.0 I have generated ReqIF files for a specific DOORS module. Now i would like to push this ReqIF files into Integrity's Requirement Manager Section. I currently have RIF 2.4 Gateway for import function configured against the 10.5 client. When i give the ReqIF files as input for RIF 2.4 gateway, these files are not recognized!   I assume there is a ReqIF Gateway (similar to the one that RIF has), could you please provide me the path to download this gateway along with few example templates.   Also is Integrity 10.5 compatible with ReqIF files generated via IRC 3.0?   Kind Regards Karthik Komarla

Hi guys, sometimes we must search and replace text with the arbortext editor. This works fine, but in some xml-files/productions it is important that these replacements are not made in some special tags.  We cannot find any option in the search & replace window. Unfortunately also with ACL we could not find a solution, as the "gsub" method would replace in the whole document. Do you have an idea to find a way to search and replace in the arbortext editor except some tags? Thank you in advance. Greetings from Germany

Hi All   I'm wondering if anyone has a solution for connecting a single instance of Kepware to two Thingworx environments ? One Dev and one Test. I have read that you can only directly connect 1:1 , but i wondered if any intermediary applications or servers have been used to split the data between Thingworx instances by anyone else .   Thanks

Hello, So I have a table in my DB which stores data along with start and end date and time(datatype is datetime). Now, I have defined two inputs to my service which is a query to select certain data where start time and end time are inputs. the baseType is datetime. When i enter the values, im getting the result as no data, but I have given the exact date and time as in the db table.

Hello,    I was wondering if Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 is required for Thingworx to run. I'm being asked to uninstall it because it has been obsoleted, but I just want to make sure that uninstalling it will not break Thingworx.   Thanks

I got an image as a 2D widget to work using css keyframes animation but it doesn't work with 3D images. I wanted to blink the 3d image as well as create a few different animations.

As usual, when they revised the GUI (Bold New Graphics!), they completely FUBAR'd things.  I'm simply trying to export a STEP file and NEED to pick a specific CS....aaaaand I can't.  This interface $uck$!  For some reason the ability to pick a CS is greyed out.  What?????  This is something we NEED to do often.  Is there an "optional" module I need or something?  I'm p!$$ed. Oh, and in detailing mode the ribbon is somehow even WORSE than before!  Man, I didn't think it was possible to make the ribbon worse, but they managed it.  I don't know whether to give PTC kudos for that or not...(sarcasm). I should have stayed on Creo 3, and just gone to M180.  So, when I lease Creo for personal use shortly, I'm not going to bother with Creo 4 since it's such a large step BACKWARD...   SRSLY PTC???

Hi all,Been awhile since I did SGML, (been XML last few years), but new USAF project is SGML TOs in AF DTD 38784STD-BV9.I have the dtd and fosi stuff (provided GFE/GFI, but no demo.sgm file was in the batch of files... was hoping someone had a simple/shell/demo sgml file for starters. Anyone?Else, it's completely starting from scratch (and the old digging for basic start point / end point tags and attributes to simply 'get going.')Would like to avoid this - gotta build out the whole set of TOs anyway... trade for a beer at a date and location to be named later?Hopefully someone's got a simple SGML demo file I can start with.Thanks for all reads/replies.Regards, Bob W.(With beer but no .sgm file.... in Bristol, RI, US)

I have looked in the "Help Center" after the name of the feature parameter "end_type" for the out-port of a fitting when this type differs from the in-port.In the fitting file it is named nend_type. But it is not clear what the feature parameter in the model should be called.Also, if the coupling is a T-coupling, should the parameter-name be something else for the branch?I hope there is someone out there who can help me.

I have a set of data (x and y coordinates) from excel (see top of attached file), and when excel didn't want to give me the function for the data, I had to use a website to get a working onw. I am now trying to work my way from the data to the function in Mathcad 15, but I cannot get expfit to work. The guess values is where it goes wrong (probably just confusing me). I have the working function and coefficients at the bottom of the attached file, everything else is trial and error. Can somebody help getting those coefficients from expfit? Thanks in advance!

Hello, For example: If someone at the company gets ill, all Tasks he/she recieves won't be processed. If he has got a deputy, those tasks would be processed, even though he's not in the company. Let say I want to model a Car. For this I create a CarTemplate. And for the wheels, I create a WheelThingShape with 2 properties (wear% and pressure). How should I link the WheelThingShape to the CarTemplate in order to achieve a final CarThing with 4 wheels, and 8 properties liked to wheels?

The SelectedRowsChanged event is launched even if the selected row is not changed from a grid, but just after a refresh of the service returning the data.   This is what happen (note thantI switched from TWX 8.2 to 8.5):   I have a mashup with a service returning an infotable. I put this data into a grid, and here it is possible to select a row   I also have a refresh widget that calls every 30 seconds the service, just to to update values   Now I select a row, and correctly SelectedRowsChanged  is launched. After some time when the refresh widget triggers and launch the service, I also get the SelectedRowsChanged event, even if I didn't changed it from the grid. It happen with both classic grid and also grid advanced. With TWX 8.2 this was not happening.    Can this be fixed without doing other tricks ?

When using insets (detail views of part or subassy's) one would expect that the inset cuold be set to a sertain scale. In and until illustrate 6.1 it is not possible to set an inset to a specific scale.    My idea would be to implement and scale factor according to the main imported 3D file.
