It's simple to find out what permissions a user has on a particular entity, but is it possible to go the other way?  Instead of mapping an entity to users' and groups' permissions regarding that object, can I (the administrator) retrieve a list of all permissions (including lack of permission) for a particular user?One purpose of this might be in an audit, to ensure that permissions have been configured correctly and that nothing has been overlooked.  (Perhaps I forgot to remove some permission on an entity that's outside the scope of what I'm testing.  Silly, certainly, but not out of the realms of possibility!)

Hi all,   I'm currently stuck in a cleanup and refactoring task for our server setup. I want to remove a number of duplicate or outdated report-recipes and I do not want to "harm" my users more than necessary.   So I need to find out which ( "user specifc" and admin) report instance is using which report-recipe file.   The   "im reports"   and   "im viewreport"   commands are currently of no help, as the desired infromation is not available as a field (or at least I didn't find it )   Any idea is welcome   Thanx in advance Matthias

In my application there are 300+ integer properties and each requires a subscription. I've created 300+ subscriptions in XML and imported the shape. After I opened "Subscriptions" section in the composer, the platform took too long to respond thus killing my browser session. Next time, after a very long wait I managed to open "Subscriptions" page and found all of my subscriptions. Clearly it takes a long time to render the page since the XML file is quite large.1. What are the limitations when it comes to "Subscriptions"?2. Is AddDynamicSubscription() service a better alternative? If so, how can I monitor active subscriptions?Cheers.

Hello again,I got some help a while back from here regarding turning a nested array into a single array.  Now I have a similar problem in that I need to turn nested matrices into a vector of 3 single matrices.  I've tried modifying the code for the arrays but so far unsuccessfully.  If anyone can help with this I would be very grateful.Thanks,Mike

Hi all,I new to Jlink, and have been attempting to automate the mating of a cylindrical part to each point in a skeleton (such that the center axis of the cylinder is coincident with the point). I was looking though the Jlink User Guide and found a list of ComponentConstraintTypes (Pic below). I read through them all and none of these seem to encapsulate what I'm trying to do. So I was  wondering if any more experienced users could shed some light on how to accomplish my goal... or if it's even possible . And if it is possible, if you could share any insight / guidance on how to get there using Jlink that would be amazing!Thanks to all!

Hi,Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding the creation of Templates and Things in the Composer?I am at the stage where I would like to try to incorporate simple live streaming data from an external source into the Composer to display on some published projects as proof of concept. While the tutorial videos are wonderful, it is the final part of the procedures regarding live data that elude me: they seem to have been glossed over in the tutorials, such as using pre-prepared Templates and Things in Composer and not much information as to how to get external data into Composer. I would love to see a separate tutorial or written procedure for this last step in the process. Also what type of external data is supported or allowed into the Composer? Are there limitations?I am obliged in advance for any assistance!Regards,Brian

I just reinstalled windows on my PC to fix a virus problem and when I tried to install Mathcad, I got the message : "You have reached the maximum number available for you product type". I tried creating a new accounts but got the same message every time.I have used a difference account on every computer I've installed this, so I don't really understand what is going on here.normally I would contact support with this kind of problem but they PTC doesn't give support to non-paying customers  (page tells me I have  Insufficient Privileges)Can anyone here help me with this ?

I removed Creo and reinstalled it. The license still does not work. I asked my school's IT department and 2 instructors who teach Creo to assist. It still does not work. Can anyone help resolve this and install / run the program? Anybody?

I have set up an event which changes the number value of a property of one of my things. I have set a button to trigger this event when clicked in thingworx studio. This works perfectly the first time I click it, but if I am in the same preview or instance on view then if I try to trigger it again then nothing happens. I need to refresh in order to trigger the event again. I'm not sure what is going on here and what I need to do to fix this problem.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks,Adam

Currently we are drawing the block diagram in Visio and then manually adding the parts to Creo Parametric to create the layout. Because of the complexity of our product, sometimes we made mistakes in the layout. For example, according to block diagram, port 1 of part 1 should connect to port 1 of part 2, but in our layout, port 1 of part 1 erroneously connect to port 2 of part 2.   We heard that there is linkage between Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric, which may help solve our problem. That is, we will be able to verify the layout in Creo Parametric against the block diagram in Creo Schematic automatically. But we would like to know how it works in detail. For example, is it a direct linkage such as when I change a part in Creo Schematic, the layout in Creo Parametric will get updated? Or is it a indirect linkage, for instance through import/export files?

Preview button dosn’t react when I click it, the trial version is not supported?

We have made some changes to alerts on property values. Some of the alerts remain active although they were removed from the system and we are having difficulties to remove them from the system. Did anyone else see this problem? Any idea is welcome Thanks Erik

Hi,So I have this problem with how the dimension lines appear. With small dimensions when the arrows are outside of the witness lines there is no line to connect the witness lines. This becomes quite messy  when having a lot of small dimensions. I would like to change the dimension style so that the witness lines are always connected.Does anyone know how to change this? I'm using creo 2.0.Thanks.

Using Creo 3 M100I've got an inheritance part where I'm trying to control a dimension in the "base" part with a parameter in the "master" part.  In other words, if I change a parameter value, then the geometry changes, even though the parameter and dimension are in different models.I took this screen shot in Wildfire 5 to remind me how to write the relation.  I'm applying this technique to new parts in Creo 3, but the Relations editor gives me an error of "Cannot assign to a part-driven value".Am I missing anything, or is this a bug in Creo 3?

Hi!   does anyone successfully run Photo-Realistic Rendering in Creo 4.0 F000???   When I press at button no action happen???   I tried with both advance renderer licenses I got and no positive results - only license visible consumption ;-(   is this a bug in this first F000 release of Creo 4.0?

A student and I both edited the same part at the same time, with one of us somehow not checking it out first.   So the one version was A.3 and the other was A.4.  The A.3 person (me) needed to upload the rest of assembly and could not.   I just threw away the latest revs and reloaded.   So a couple of questions:How did we get into this situation?   Do I need to lock or checkout a whole assembly to prevent others from using it (rather than just counting on Windchill to do it for me)?Is there a way to roll back Windchil to a previous version?   The changes in A4 were minor compared to A3, so would have preferred to discard A4 instead.Rande J.FRC4931
