Hi everyone,PTC is in the process of staging the Windchill 11.0 upgrade for the Academic Windchill server and plans to execute the upgrade next month. I will let you know as soon as a upgrade date is chosen to make sure it does not conflict with any activities you might have. PTC typically does the update over a weekend and tries to minimize the downtime as much as possible.-Scott

I found the formats for Audio and Video in the help area...but didn't find the acceptable formats for Resource image types. What are they?  (Jpeg, Gif, Tiff, mng) ???•Audio •.wav, .mp3, .mp4 •Video•.mp4 and .webm •Image•png, ?

Hello PTC user, the search function (STRG+F) in PTC Creo or ProEngineer is mine and certainly well known to you. Basically, I get clear with it and find also my things which I have to look for.However, I am currently trying to define predefined searches, which I would then save as a rule. As a rule in layer management, to define a layer master.To properly include and exclude the various KE's, surfaces, references, cosmetics, notes, etc., the associated rule must also be properly defined and excluded. Otherwise, any of the elements not belonging to the layer will be added to the layer. And right here is my problem. Because somehow the settings of the search do not really open up to me. In particular, I mean the "Look for" and "Look by" drop-down boxes. Can someone explain these fields to someone more precisely, because even the PTC Consultant who was in our house, could not explain to our satisfaction. Dear all,   I'm using Pro/Tookit to implementing an DLL which provides access to Creo for our main program. The DLL is loaded by the main program via LoadLibrary() and freed via FreeLibrary(). This can happen more than once.   For a long time i used the Pro/Tookit libraries provided by Creo 1.0. Now I updated from Visual Studio 2010 to Visual Studio 2015 and I got the issue, that the second call of LoadLibrary() fails always on some computers.   I guess the problem are the different runtime libraries. Can this work at all?   I'm reluctant to update to Creo 4.0, because it has no x86 support.   Thanks in advance.   Olaf

Hello,I encountered another problem in Mathcad 15. I want to calculate a definite integral of a matrix (to be more precise, Mathcad should automatically calculate a definite integral of each matrix entry). I am getting an error "this calculation does not converge to a solution". However, when I manually define the definite integral of each matrix entry, Mathcad 15 obtains the solution without a problem. In the attached example the matrix size is 2x2, however my calculations will deal with few dozens of matrices with sizes varying from 6x6 to 15x15 (user defined size). Obviously I want to avoid typing 36 or even 225 integrals manually. Does anyone know a solution to this problem or yet another Mathcad bug? Thank you in advance for your help. Best regardsRafal 

I had an issue arise yesterday. I am able to read/write/save to various folders throughout the network and desktop except the one that is our primary directory and subfolder (for years). Whenever I save happens to these folders, the software has a hard crash (after "spinning" for several minutes). Any thoughts as to what may be causing this?

We have a single user whose Updates table on the WC home screen will only display a single row. If he creates a new object (such as a Change Request), the existing row object disappears and the new item takes its place.All other users see multiple rows of updated objects, and this problem is not just local to his PC. It follows to wherever he logs in.I have never seen this and don't have any good ideas on the possible cause.Any thoughts?

I have installed Creo 3.0 Student edition recently it worked fine. After one some time when i try to open creo i get error saying-"Port-conflict" "The previous restart failed. The port 51244 is also occupied. Restart Creo Parametric and all other opened PTC Applications again. We apologize for any inconvenience"With every restart, the Port number counts up. So now I'm at Port 51256.I can't contact any support, because i only have the Student Edition.I use Win 10 64-Bit-Version on a HP Pav Notebook. Hi, I'm defining a range variable L which goes from 20cm to 100cm with a step of 20cm. This "vector" has 5 rows, so i defined another range variable "k" which goes from 0 to 4. Then I define this time a real vector with one column and 5 rows, and manually insert L[0 + e , L[1 + e , ... and I defined this as a function of "e". This worked. BUT if i try to automatically create this vector, this doesn't work. I mean, I write : (R(e))[k := L[k + e , and the error "A Name is Required". The Program is attached. This is a simplified model of what i need to create. Because my real "k" doesn't go from 0 to 4, but from 0 to 1400 since my real L is much larger. But i can't write manually each row of the vector R(e). Someone knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance

Dear community members,we use Prime 3.0 for a couple of time.The majority of our calculation files are not that large (1 to 4 MB). But a file size larger than thatrequires a very long period of time to save and to close these files (up to 4 or 5 min).What is your experience?Now we discuss to change to Prime 3.1 to save time. I want to create a link(xref) to a publication section in a publication structure that's in Windchill not a section in the topic self.When searching in Windchill with the Resource Manager for Link/xref I can't find a publication section only topics no matter which type is selected.In Arbortext Editor I can only link to a topic or image.Does anyone know if this is possible to create a link to a publication section?

I thought I remembered there to be some avenue to build into an imported surface or solid body the native Pro E feature that would be seen in the design tree.  Can anyone point me in the right direction here?  I know Unigraphics had this functionality years ago and Pro does I am sure but can't remember what it is called.  I have PTU online training avalible I just need to know what coarse to look for.Example is if i import a step file and wish to place a round feature in the design tree but associate the feature to a round the is already a part of the imported data file (step in this case) and going forward have Edit definition within Pro E avalible as if it was a native feature.Shrink Wrap might be what I am looking for but not sure.Thanks

Hi,We have a setup that contains one main Thingworx instance and multiple client Thingworx that report different data vie remote things to main Thingworx. I noticed that if you are logged in client Thingworx Composer and check the Monitoring-> Status -> Remote things -> Unbounded it shows list of all remote things there is, eventhough they are on a different Thingworx-machine. How is this possible? How can this be changed so that user can only see the remote things that are on the same machine and what he has rights to.

Hi,is there an option, where i can choose an element-specific feedrate?So, let's assume that i want a finishing-feedrate of 0,1mm per revolution. Now there ist a cut-in on the outer surface of the part, where i want to turn faster about this area (maybe 1mm p.r.) because in this area there is no material to cut. After that area i need again the feedrate of 0,1mm p.r..Is it possible to change the feedrates in the same turning profile between the different curves?Sorry, it is a little bit complicated to explain the problem.I add a picture, where you can maybe see what i mean.Tank you!GreetingsOliver

I am quite sure I can find an example somewhere in the support but I looked for without success.I want to create an area by clicking locations on google map widget and that this area is visible on the map.I've seen there is the possibility to bind a region but maybe I'm doing something wrong.I have a ThingTemplate with 10 things, each thing has a location property, I want those 10 locations set a region.If I load the GetImplementingThingsWithData service and bind AllData to RegionData, I can't see my region.Another thing I would like to do is make the user define a new region by clicking a certain number of points on the map which will set the perimeter of the area.Is there anyone who could explain me this? Or also could give me a link with a document I can read?Thanks
