Hello PetrH,   I have a similar requirement.  I have two Global attributes "Attribute_A" & "Attribute_B" on Drawing (EPMDocument), i want to make sure that when drawing is get published, this two attributes will be displayed in Title Block of Drawing.   Can you please help me here, how to achieve this ? any input will be helpful.   Thanks and Regards, Vivek      

Version: Windchill 13.1   Use Case: An identified administrative correction is needed (non form/fit/function) within the business confines of what is allowable. I have seen a few ways to do this from using a CR or a Peer Review or just a workflow on a document. In short, what I am looking at is a simple process with a few system checks at the start to make sure the proposed admin change is within the company business rules.  We have the workflow iterate the object and then when it moves forward we flip the lifecycle to a Single State lifecycle. That has an ad hoc permission for the assignee to modify at that state. At that step we add a comment to be displayed in the history table of the object. Once the task is completed we flap back to the Lifecycle called on the OIR and set the state back to the same state it was submitted. What we want to avoid is

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.1.0I cannot retrieve the log data requested by PTC because the reporting interface is faulty and displays cryptic text.

I've gone done a serious rabbit hole but failing to see my error. I am assuming it must be me. I have two instances and both experience same behavior. I can start and stop SOLR normally as my non-root user.  But when I configure my solr.service (which is identical to my previous installs), it fails to see that solr is running, exits and stops the process. I can verify that SOLR does indeed start but the part of the solr script  (called from Index_Search_Server.sh) where it checks that SOLR is running, I think is not detecting it. It times out after 180 seconds and stops.  Here is what I observed: Confirmed that SOLR starts from java process, PID file and logs. Noticed "lsof -v" running while it was waiting for SOLR to start and consuming high CPU. Disappears when it bails after the time out.  I identified the part of the solr script where it tries to verify SOLR is running. (rabbit hole). Hello,Currently I am working with Windchill Requirement Connector which is helpful to create export from one tools to other. I would like to automate work with this tools to have possibility do automatic export. From my observation I have possibility to use batch mode Using batch mode for Windchill Requirement Connector or Remote API To start a new PTC Requirements Connector application on the server. I investigated batch mode and Remote API. Both potentiality do not allow me to create a project and export the items with API but only help me with automate export. Very important is API which will help me automate all work: create the project, create the roundtrip and do export. Exist some API which will help me to automate this job?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: I would like to seek for clarification the way as-stored BOM filter works in WindchillDescription: I would like to seek for clarification the way as-stored BOM filter works in Windchill. For example, for the example part number attached, there are two available versions A.87 & A,88When we apply as stored filter on A.87 which shows different icons view for components without revision giving impression that there is no as-stored BOM.  Using the default filter, it shows BOM anyway which it might be pulling from next revision A.88 which has both as stored and latest rev BOM. As I am involved in migration validation from business end, I need to understand how this as stored filter works and how as stored boms are created and stored in windchill and what's the configuration behind it. Any support is highly appreciated. New to 13 and reading this article after failing to be able to create a MFG part.  https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS367853?source=search The last note on Save As screen seemed to indicate that you could remove the columns from the default view. Well, not really. If you edit the default view, New Org ID column is not removable. You can remove the previous Org View ID. I think what this is saying is that you can hide the column. Problem is that setting is user by user right? I ended up throwing to the right side and hoping a user does not fiddle with it.  Are there any other UIs that I need to clean up that people know of?  IMHO, this is a step backward. Not sure why this change was necessary.

I am using Windchill ProjectLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.0Using the action "Send to PDM" is resulting in an error: "ATTENTION: Values associated with incorrect object." The objects are .PRT / .ASM / .DRW files.They were created within the Project. We are now trying to send it to PDM. Tested to see if it was a permissions issue using an admin account, but same error occurs. I do not believe the objects are deprecated or abandoned - they have only been inside of that one Project. Much appreciation to any insight what the issue could be.

I've seen the presentations for the last PTC/User conference and what is online. AI is making its way into search, requirements management, service and parts classification. Any place else? Also, does anyone have an idea when some of this will be productized (what version)? I understand initially, the projects were closed betas. Will all of this necessitate cloud usage or Windchill+?

In the "General" tab of this workflow task, I have assigned the "Change Admin I" role as the "Responsible Role". Under the "Participants" tab, I have specified user group "A" as the "Assignee". I have ensured the check box for "Required" next to this "Assignee" entry is checked. Under the "Execution Options" tab, I have ensured the check boxes for "Ignore unresolved role" and "Create task for Responsible Role if unresolved role is "Required"" are checked. I know that I have no users in user group "A". There are no users contained directly under the "Change Admin I" role in the application team. Instead, I have included user group "B" under this role. User group "B" does contain users. Curious how others are managing attribute values populated from CAD applications and whether or not you allow editing of the values outside the CAD application? The engineering team would like to make the new WEIGHT attribute editable in Windchill. This means the value could be what was calculated by the CAD application or it could be a value updated in Windchill. This seems like a bad strategy because the values can easily get out of sync between engineering and someone entering a value in the associated wtpart and easily over written on the next CAD check in.    I would rather provide another WEIGHT attribute on the WTPart and let them put whatever they want in it and let CAD derived values always remain as CAD derived values.

Objects that can be included on issued change notices as affected/resulting objects can often no longer be subject to the changes that the change notice is being used to represent. This is because newer change notices can be issued that includes the same parts as affected/resulting objects and the changes detailed on the older change notice would then no longer be required.
