Hi,My part lifecycle states include Development - Prototype - Released - WithdrawnOn revise from prototype or released the part will return to development state, and then a change notice is used to either transition Development → Prototype, Development → Released or Prototype→ ReleasedI have two types of change notice “Prototype Change Notice” and “Change Notice”, which have different workflows (different approval roles)I would like to limit the available release targets when a “Prototype Change Notice” is raised to only be the prototype state - “Preproduction” change transition (remove the Change transition from the list)This looks similar to the request here, but I cant see a solution - I have tried investigating the mapping rules, but I can only find how to limit target states based on the change object type, not on the change notice type it is withinThanks

Can someone help me out, what I am missing to delete my own workspace in windchill. 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.14At one time, when using Chrome based browsers, it was possible for the user to resize the text boxes (text areas) in Windchill forms, such as Change Requests. There was a small icon in the lower right corner that could be grabbed to resize the visible text area. This does not seem to be possible anymore. Is this a bug in Windchill? A bug in Chrome? Or intentional design in the Windchill code/CSS? Is there a way to change the code/CSS to enable resizing? (We do know that it can be changed temporarily by using F12 DevTools and changing the box dimensions temporarily.

Hello,We have a lot of Non prod windchill environments and we are looking for a way to get rid of production data for non prod env and have some synthetic data that mimics prod.could anyone suggest if they have done anything similar for their organizational needs. if yes, how did you manage to create prod like data. thanks in advance!

Hi all,I am creating a new Info Engine(IE) task. That IE task requires a string parameter as input and it calls another IE task inside. So in my new IE task, I perform a validation and when it succeeds I call another IE task. But if the validation fails, I need to throw an exception or communicate to the user about the error message. How can we do it? I am testing it using the PTC IE domain in WRS.

A promotion request approver sent a PR back for rework with a very long comment. After the comments had been incorporated and the rework was completed, when the approver attempted so sign off to approve the PR, he got an error “The value exceeds the upper limit of “4000” for “Instructions”.  My assumption was that this long comment (which has 4000+ characters) was the culprit, but I haven’t found a way to edit the comment.Has anyone seen this error? Is there a way to edit a comment in the Process Status section?

Hi,I want to add a Coversheet to the representation that shows the different tasks completed by the users as part of a change over the WTDocument. Using the Tasks, Change and Change Task drag-and-drop, I don’t see my requirement being met. Hello,In my current project, I need to define custom attributes on context objects (Product, Library, and Project).I'm wondering what the recommended approach is:Subtyping the OOTB context types (wt.pdmlink.PDMLinkProduct, wt.inf.library.WTLibrary, wt.projmgmt.admin.Project2) to add the attributes on the subtypes, or Modifying the OOTB types directly through the Type and Attribute Manager?My main concerns are upgrade safety and long-term maintainability. Subtyping feels cleaner, but I'm not sure if context types behave differently from regular object types in that regard, particularly when it comes to container creation and template resolution.Does PTC have any official documentation?Thanks in advance.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.5 We are currently integrating Windchill APIs with our Metadata Tool for API cataloging and lineage purposes. The schema is required by metadata tool in order to automatically parse and register the API endpoints and metadata. We identified that the following schema endpoint successfully returns a valid OpenAPI 3.0 JSON schema when accessed with Basic Authentication: https://x.company.ae/Windchill/protocolAuth/netmarkets/html/wrs/odata-to-swagger.jsp?v=7&d=ProdMgmt. We also tested generating a CSRF token using the below endpoint: https://x.company.ae/Windchill/protocolAuth/servlet/odata/v5/PTC/GetCSRFToken() The generated token works successfully for BOM-related API calls, but it does not work when accessing the swagger/OpenAPI endpoint above. Could you please check with the PTC/Windchill team if one of the following options can be provided: A token-based authentication mechanism for accessing the OpenAPI schema

Dear Team,We are trying to check in a CAD Model from Creo Parametric. For example, our CAD Model number format like “*****_*****_*****.PRT”, now if we click on auto associate the WTPart will be created only with initial 10 characters: “*****_*****”. We don’t want to involve any customization, want to achieve this scenario using configuration changes. Is this possible?

I am aware of this utility:https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS115390?source=search and database mods are sometimes easy to do but I think its time to sick an intern on this project. For those cases where I import some data that needs to start life at a higher revision other than initial, I need a clean way to alter the current identifier to something else. I can envision the UI being a simple drop down list or validated textbox for user entry but would need to accept a new version letter and alter the object. Supporting multiselect would be nice too. It also should handle erorr checking caveats to maintain sanity. Posting here if anyone else has thoughts and can supply some useful requirements I can fold in. Willing to share results with field when complete. 

I have a workflow with 4 optional routes, where users can select any combination of the routes during execution. At the end of the workflow, I am using an AND connector because I need the process to continue only after all selected routes are completed.The issue is that the AND connector waits for all 4 routes to complete, even when only 2 or 3 routes were actually selected.Has anyone handled a similar requirement in PTC Windchill workflows? I’m looking for the best approach to make the connector wait only for the routes that were chosen by the user.I’ve also attached a Word document to better explain the workflow scenario and expected behavior.
