Codebeamer

Hi all,I would like to use a project as a library (see Requirements Library) and re-use or copy several trackers while maintaining their links or downstream references. It does not seem to be possible; for example, I have functional requirements and safety requirements that are interconnected. However, once I drag and drop using the library option, I lose the link between the two. Is CB able to do this, and if so, what are the conditions or procedure? The only connection that is kept is for the test cases. Why is that?

Q1: Inside the Git SSH documentation (https://codebeamer.com/cb/wiki/25661#section-SSH+Access), it says that an SSH server called OpenSSH should be installed on the server on which CB is running.My Question is: can I use a different SSH server, such as Bitvise, and expect the same behaviour? Is there any more documentation about SSH configuration? Q2: In the Generating SSH Keys section, it is written that we need a key pair. However there is a large number of configuration to set when generating a key pair e.g: ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 4096 -C "dev@company.com" -f ~/.ssh/id_ed25519 -N ""Any hints you could give me?

Hi,I really need to raise this again because I honestly can't believe this is still the case. I’m fairly certain I mentioned it about two years ago, but I hadn’t run into it again until now – and I’m genuinely shocked.After completing an import, I receive an email notification. However, in order to view the associated warnings and failures, I’m required to upload the same REQIF file again just to access the report. This feels incredibly counterintuitive and inefficient.Is there any plan to improve this? There is an issue where deleting a field named “A” within a specific tracker and then trying to recreate a new field with the same name results in an error. How can I recreate a field with the same name? Current Version : 3.0.0.2

Has anyone migrated from Polarion to Codebeamer? I've had success with the ReqIF export-import flow, but I don't get any history with that import.

Hi, we are using the "Import Status" to identify between releases of the supplier what has changed between two deliveries. Unfortunately the import status is not automatically cleared when importing a new ReqIF.What does this mean? We have to go through 50k items (26 trackers) and clear the status. We also tried this via script but this takes longer then doing it by hand. Is there any best practice on how to do this smarter/faster? Is there even any update planned on improving this in the import mechanism directly? Thank you,Manuel 

I have a report where I am using the historical view to show trackers at a specific baseline. Currently, I have only been able to display one baseline at a time. Is there a way to show multiple baselines in the same report? Thanks,Brian Kampling - Source Allies

Hello community,Is there a way to share users across multiple projects?We have several projects where trackers are connected via reference fields. However, if a user is not a member of both the source and target projects, they either cannot see the referenced items or encounter errors when editing trackers — even in the project where they do have access.Ideally, we would like to avoid manually managing the same users across multiple projects. While we understand that not all users should have access to every connected project, it would be acceptable if broader access is required for reference resolution to work properly.Is there an option or configuration that allows tracker references to function regardless of project membership? I’ve looked through the settings but haven’t found a solution.Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello team,Is there a way to improve the "Access Denied" message shown to users who do not have access, by providing clear contact information for support?For example, a user receives a link from a colleague, but it doesn't work. The user then struggles to find out whom to contact, especially if the colleague also doesn't know.Currently, the message only advises the user to check if they are signed in with the correct account or to contact the project administrator — but it doesn't specify who that is.Improving this message with a direct contact (e.g., key user, support team, or distribution list) could help reduce confusion and support requests.  

Can't find export base template for Excel in the installation folder in Codebeamer. I was able to find it fine for word, But can't find excel templates. Can you please provide a default template?.

Is there any way to update or import the Version Hystory of items through the API or otherwise? Codebeamer 3.0.0.2

  Is it ok to install Thingworx Platform and Flow on the same VM as Codebeamer and postgreSQL or should they be on a separate server? This is for Windchill-codebeamer integration.  

Hello PTC community,We were performing the Codebeamer and Azure DevOps integration using the "New External Repository".After doing the configuration when we clicked on the Validation it got validated and we were able to create the new external repository.  Everything went well. But after trying to "Scm repository update synchronization" we are facing the "Error while running repository synchronization job, For: Azure-repository". We are using the Codebeamer version 2.2.0.2 but i have not found any article in the knowledge base addressing this issue. 

I am using Codebeamer 2.1.0.0 version and from yesterday I am not able to create a project using an external template or default template. While creating any project with template it shows the below error -Kindly suggest the remediation steps for this.

Hi All,We have installed codebeamer(2.2.0.1) on linux server. Recently the IT team migrated the server from hyperV to Openshift. Since then our codebeamer url is giving this issue "HTTP Status 404 – Not Found". I am working on a computed field in Codebeamer and need to fetch the item ID from the Default Working Set using a formula.I have tried a few approaches (like this.id, this.globalId, and filtering workingSets()), but they are not returning the expected result. Hello! I notice that in the overhauled Review Hub UI, only usernames are shown in comments and when tagging people, rather than showing their full real name. This makes it very difficult to know who is actually commenting or finding the person you want to tag. Is it possible to somehow make this display the full name again?
