I am using Creo Simulate Release 11 and Datecode11.0.1.0We have created fnf file in creo simulate using FEA mode, then we loaded the fnf in creo simulate UI using external file with temp on required node. During loading we set reference temp as 22, after seeing in previews it shows 0 as ref temp.We ran multiple thermostructure analysis, but it shows its not taking 22 as ref temp. & showing worst resultAlso not loading controlled mesh in Creo simulateCreo version: 11.0.1.0
Does the wrap command work in assembly mode? Specifically, I'd like to wrap a cosmetic sketch around a part's cylinder of an assembly model. Is this an option? For me, working in Creo 2.0 M250 currently, this seems impossible since while wrap is visible in the model>modifiers overflow tab, it's always greyed out. I can do it in the part file, so will result to that if all else fails.
Hi, I have an unwrapped curve of an oblique cut of a cylinder that I want to make it visible only in one view. The easy answer would be "make that view independent of the drawing layer status". But my situation is more complicated as the configuration of my assembly changes and it depends on the Drawing Program. So by making it independent I will make visible ALL the layers that otherwise should not be visible. Any idea how to resolve this "unresolvable" situation. All ideas are welcomed, not only ones realted to layers display: creating a new view overimposed of the existing one with just the curve on it or anything that could do the job. If you need some pic to see exactly what I mean, please ask. Thank you, Nic.
Hi,I have created the overloaded CAD BOM in Creo, loaded them into Windchill, auto-associated WTParts with CAD Documents, and thoroughly defined Options and Variants. However, when I generate the Variant from the overloaded BOM in Windchill, it creates a variant assembly, but the top-level CAD variant is not being created and associated with the top-level Variant WTPart automatically. I have learned that an additional license module for Creo is required to generate the top-level variant CAD. Could anyone please advise which license module I should purchase to enable this feature?
Hi I use creo 11.0.4.0. In relations dosnt work formula MASA=PRO_MP_MASSerrorInvalid data type combination at right side of expression. What is wrong. In Creo 7 works perfect. Regards T
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.3.0Assembling one part with a pin connection to ground. Assembling a second part with a pin connection to the first part. There are no other connections between the two parts. Using a velocity motor the rotate the first part. When running the analysis, the second part rotates as well. It should stay still since there are no connections or forces / motors on it. Why does the second part rotate?
Hi everybody. I cannot remove the thread lines where you can see the part have an extrude. The lines from the hole are gone if i remove the thread, but the lines from the thread appear again when turned on. Hope someone can help
Hi everyone,I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0During the replacement of component by an unrelated component, the replace user interface propose to select the corresponding references used in the assembly itself.Does exist a way or a configuration option to detect also the references used in the drawings ?Due to this missing detection, the attaches of the drawing symbols are lost.Gaël
Creo 8: Well, ain't this peachy. Got a large assembly in a couple different configurations/Reps (some parts not used in certain Reps), and if you create the dwg view using a Rep, but then change the Rep at the assy level, the BOM will change but the dwg view WILL NOT. Replacing the Rep for that view, or everything else I tried, DO NOT WORK. The only thing that worked was DELETING the view, and putting a new General view in it's place. Nice, especially since it's a large assy with a bunch of sheets. So, my "Pro/WORKAROUND" is to NOT make dwg views until you are 100% sure the Reps won't change. Must be all that "Enhanced Functionality" PTC keeps crowing about when they waste time giving us confusing new interfaces, but spend zero time fixing bugs...you know, like that "split cylinder" BUG, or the one where threads don't show up in the model except in wireframe viewing mode, or....... Anyone else run into this issue?
Hi everyone, I'm a fairly new user, but I've been getting comfortable with most of the tools: using sketches, datums, and building surfaces. I've been working on a project and I'm stuck on one part that I’d really appreciate some guidance on. I’m trying to model a back surface (see images below) that has a complex 3D curvature. I initially tried using the Intersect tool, but it didn’t give me the full shape I needed; it only creates sketches at the intersection of two surfaces, and this back surface seems to requires at least three reference surfaces or profiles to fully capture the curvature. I’m trying to approach it using 3D sketches and datums to define guide curves and then generate a surface from those. I’d prefer this more parametric and controlled route over something like the Warp tool. But I haven’t found a clean way to do this yet. The curvature is irregular enough that I’m not sure how to lay out the sketches or organize the build sequence.Has anyone tac
Imported step file of a cable created through the cabling add-in doesn't show up. As in the model of the cable is in the model tree, but doesn't show up in the graphics window. When modifying the original cable by removing locations to simplify the routing and re-exporting to step and importing it, the step file shows up.AP214 is being used. Cable surfaces is selected in export. What breaks the import/export for cables? Can complex geometry or bends break it?
Why the component (Guide frame) leaves it position while converting .asm to .step to .prt. Purpose is to get all comp in one with no history but right positions. Pl Guide what is making this move. Thanks in advance!
I am using creo object toolkit java to make some secondary developing.Suppose I have get the ComponentPath of a part or component in an assembly model. Which function can I use to hide and unhide the part or check its hidden status. I read the usergudie a thousand times and could not find one. Belows are functions I have tested.com.ptc.pfc.pfcModel.Model.Displaycom.ptc.pfc.pfcSelect.Selection.Displaycom.ptc.wfc.wfcSolid.WSolid.DisplaySolidSadly, none of them help.Does the toolkit provide the function to programmatically hide and unhide part, just like hit the button in this picture?
We are partnering with another shop that has sparse data for converting their dies for machining purposes. Sometimes we get part models, sometimes dirty geometry die models and sometimes absolutely nothing. In the most recent situation all we have is a scan of the top and bottom dies. The die impressions themselves don't have any sharp edges, and the radii sometimes wipe out the draft walls. There would be a combination of revolves, extrudes, lofts and there are locked transitions. We are tasked with reverse engineering these dies to make parts that size accurately and within a timely matter. I wish that I could share a screenshot of the actual dies but that would be proprietary in nature. I have been told that machining the actual STL is very slow and not very clean. Can you suggest the best way to convert the STL scans into at least sealed, accurate to machine surfaces? It would be nice to have these parametric, but that would require
In the drawing driving model we have a manual user entry parameter called "Drawn" which is used in the drawing title bock. Per ASME standard this needs to stay as the original (rev -) creator no matter what rev the drawing is changing to in the future. We tried using part relation to drive the parameter: drawn=ptc_wm_created_byThis parameter updates every time to the person who created the new revision of the model, hence the title block name changes. Is there something we can automate that doesn't change like: drawn=ptc_wm_created_by:revision- Thank you in advance.
Hi,In the assembly I renamed one part and saved the part and the assembly. Later I converted that assembly into 3d pdf format. When my client opened the 3d pdf file, and found that old part number only appears in the 3d pdf model tree. This is getting solved by saving the assembly and closing all the parts & assemblies and session. After that I have to do Erase not displayed to remove all the temp file. Then I opened the creo assembly and converted to 3d pdf. Now it is working fine.
Welcome to Blog Post #21 in Our Multibody Series! In today’s post, we’re diving into a powerful new capability introduced in Creo 11—the ability to reference an existing point/coordinate system based pattern in a geometry pattern of type "point" pattern. This enhancement can significantly streamline your workflow, especially when working with complex body patterns. To get started, check out the What’s New video linked below. The first section highlights the benefits of the new “From Pattern” option in point patterns, which helps accelerate regeneration using the “Identical” or “Flexible” regeneration modes. Around the 50-second mark, the video also demonstrates some useful body patterning techniques. (view in My Videos) While the video covers the basics, here are a few key tips and tricks to help you get the most out of this feature: Patterning Bodies with Coordinate SystemsUse a pattern of coordinate systems
Requesting EMX team to separate "Return pin" from ejector pin category. The issue is during cleaning up ejector pins using command " delete all ejector pins" , this return pins will also get deleted and need to reassign all the references related to it. kindly check.
The Creo Parametric CAD application currently supports drag-and-drop functionality for opening design files directly within the session view area. However, as part of a customization initiative using Creo Toolkit, I am seeking the ability to intercept these drag and drop events when a file is dragged into the Creo Parametric session. At present, there appears to be no API available within the Creo Toolkit that facilitates the interception or handling of these specific events. Upon reaching out to PTC support, I was directed to knowledge article CS230497, which confirms that capturing drag and drop events through the Creo Toolkit is currently not supported. The support team recommended submitting this as a product enhancement idea. Therefore, I’m formally requesting the addition of APIs to the Creo Toolkit that would enable developers to capture and respond to drag-and-drop events within Creo Parametric. I invite fellow community members to vote for this proposal to help
Hello, I'm having troubles using this two funcitons. Effect I'm expecting using this two functions one after each other. I see the same thing without changes by getting actual transformation and applying it to the model. Now let's see what's actually happens let model = pfcGetCurrentSession().GetCurrentModel() let transform = model.GetCurrentViewTransform() model.SetCurrentViewTransform(transform)This code retrieves transformation from opened model and i expect this transformation to be correct because I do actually see it in model and there is no errors in it. But: Uncaught Error: pfcExceptions::XToolkitBadInputs in ProViewMatrixSet at <anonymous>:3:7Is there any extra step needed to repair transformation gained directly from model?
Hi guys. I have a quick question about simplified reps in drawings. I know you can change the simplified representation for new views in the drawing models sidebar, but I need to know if there is a way to change the representation for already created views. I have a part that was drawn as the master rep, but for a long list of reasons, that iteration of the part is now a simplified representation. Is there a way to keep the drawing the same? In other words, can I change all those views from the master rep, to a simplified rep without deleting and redrawing them all? Best Regards, Alex
Creo Parametric 8.0 I use OTK JAVA replace session model not find the API..so ...................I want Model.EraseWithDependencies then session openFilebut ....................some model its success ,some model fail throw XToolkitInUse everyone................you Know how to do replace session model? (physical has new verison but session model is old version)why the Model.EraseWithDependencies throw XToolkitInUse?
I get really confused about this, it should be as simple to put the font to the load point of the font folder? The one where config.pro points with the pro_font_dir? I have it all set upmagyar_iso30985font.ndxhu_latin_1.fnthu_ascii.fntThe ndx contains the fnt names:hu_ascii.fnthu_latin_1.fntThe font is loaded, but where the hungarian (ő for example) char should be shown, there is only squares like this: The font is proper, and was working before, any ideas?
