Hi guys,I’m working in Creo 12 and I do have some tables and BOM tables, and I'd like to change their anchor point. By that, I mean the position of the mouse cursor when I place them using "Table from File". Hello, I have a drawing .drw in which I have to upload a .jpg image, then I have to export it in .dwg and send it to another person. This person can not see the image in the .dwg because he doesn’t have the original image.Is there a way to share the .dwg containing the image without sending also the .jpg to the other person?I would like to incorporate the .jpg in the .drw and not to upload it as a xreference.ps. I’ve already activated the save_texture_with_model options in config but it doesn’t workThank you for help, I look forward to your answersBest regards

Why can’t assembly level annotations / notes reference component level feature dimensions using the part's Session ID like you can in 2D Drawings, this functionality works perfectly fine in 2D drawings but does not work in 3D annotations. Example: Calling out a C-Bore depth at the assembly level and using &dxxx:y to reference the depth of the C-Bore that is driven by dimension "xxx" on component with Session ID "y".This is confirmed to not currently be possible see, https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS93719There are several possible work around but being able to reference a component dimension directly is less convoluted and it is already possible in traditional 2D drawing environments. 

Hi everyone,We are currently developing a Creo TOOLKIT-based connector that synchronizes Creo models with an external system.As part of the synchronization workflow, the connector needs to detect changes made to the model (such as newly added parameters or geometry modifications). Before these changes can be synchronized, the model must first be saved so that the latest state is available. To avoid requiring users to manually save after every change, the connector automatically saves the model when necessary.However, we've observed that once the model is saved, the Undo history appears to be cleared. As a result, the user can no longer perform undo operations on the model that were enabled before the save.In some other CAD applications (e.g., Autodesk Inventor), saving the model does not clear the Undo history, allowing users to continue using Undo even after an autosave.I'd like to understand whether this behaviour is expected in Creo.Is it by design that File → Save (or ProMdlSave())

What is the best procedure for using current 2D layouts in Creo? This involves large factory layouts built from multiple ME10 2D parts.

Good afternoon PTC users. We have been viewing this forum and providing individualized feedback to members for some time now. As a degreed ME and former IT Manager of one of the first NT Pro/E installations, I can appreciate the value, first hand, that this forum brings to the user community and do not wish to dilute it in any manner (i.e. we have resisted the urge to throw out blanket advertisements). The reason I am posting this thread is that I have noticed that there have been a lot of basic Windchill admin questions posted that are covered in the "PTC Windchill PDMLink Business Administration Training". This course is typically offered to those who are going to be supporting a Windchill environment. For those of you who have progressed beyond the need for this training, perhaps you have counterparts or other support personnel that could benefit? The material is also applicable to those who may be running Pro/INTRALINK 9.1 as a large part of the course covers the same material.For

I am working on a project where I want the size of the balloons to be reduced to less than the text size or close to the text size. I tried the min_balloon_radius and max_balloon_radius options, but they only allow increasing the balloon size because the minimum value for the balloon radius can only go down to 0, which is the same as the text size. However, I want to reduce the size to less than 0.Is there any option available to reduce the size of the BOM balloon that 0?

Hello, I'm not really sure how to label this one, but let me try and elaborate: Has anyone else experienced it where there is a delay/lag spike when trying to left click (select) anything in the graphics windows on Creo 11? Calling it a delay probably isn't correct, but Creo 11 (both versions 11.0.0.0 and 11.0.1.0)  just seems to "miss" some of my mouse inputs. It happens randomly when I'm either trying to add a dimension in a 3D sketch; CTRL select edges or surfaces of a 3D model; and also when trying to move balloons in drawings? Essentially left click/selecting anything on a daily basis will just randomly not respond and I have to click again. I always thought it was just me miss clicking but I'm noticing it more and more, and its not limited to a specific model.I have compared it to Creo 10 and it seems to be primarily in 11. I have tried:- Default PTC config- Different mouse- Multiple models 

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0 geometric tolerance jumps off of the witness line when I try to move it. When I create a new geometric tolerance it will not allow placement on tangent to horizontal.

I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS CPS11 We assign the default "DVPs" to "Control" in Data Definition for FMEA Worksheet to record Associated DVP (Test Matrix) link. The display shows the correct number of Associated DVP (such as "2 DVP (Test Matrix)" but in the database it shows does not the same (such as "0 DVP (Test Matrix)") . Hi everyone,I made a shelf model from AFX features and now i want to estimate the cost of total square tubes used. All the components is made from same square tube, is there any features to quickly calculate total length of square tube used and apply custom cost per length? 

We are using MBD extensively and Creo is helping us out on that.I found 1 issue with sectional view.I have generated 3D sectional view and added in Combined state. It looks perfect in Creo.But when i export to PVZ , sectional view is not showing properly. It is still showing complete part not clipped view.Creo Parametric -  Exported PVZ -  

Hello, Is it possible that we can start with auto-numbering from PPL00000001 to till PPL00000220 then in between we want to skip some numbers and again start from PPL00003210 to so on….?  

I have a case open at PTC showing inconsistent assembly handling of component mass. See article CS396826. The problem occurs for a component with no solid geometry and an assigned mass of some value and with 0 for the assigned volume.   I have attached models.7z with a sample assembly (asmtest.asm) with 2 components: assigned-mass.prt model with no solid geom and an assigned mass of 5.0 real-mass.prt model with actual geom and mass calculated the "normal" way These models have been created with Creo Parametric 6.0 You will need to set config.pro option mass_property_calculate automatic If this is the only component in the asm then it's assigned mass is not used by the asm. Screenshot (Creo Parametric 10.0.1.0) showing the asm mass of 0 when real-mass.prt is suppressed and note the asm has 0.0 even though assigned-mass.prt is showing 5.0.   After resuming the real-mass.prt the asm mass now correctly has 7.2664 which is including the mass of the assigned-mass

Is it possible to type the dimension f.e. on a circle while im drawing it? Because in Creo 1.0 it was possible when i clicked on the symbol and set the dimension to e.g. "60" it changed it and i could place it on the center for example.

It is fascinating to me that after all of these years and revenue of 3 Billions USD per year… You are still unable to hire UI UX designers to create a logical workflow and interface, instead of this useless tabs and popups that fly around and waste time…Even solidworks got some things right and solidworks is not a good software at all… 

Hello,Is there a way to create a symbol from a saved sketch?I have a sketch that I saved as “.sec” file.Then when I go to create a symbol (Define Symbol), there is no option that I could find to import the .sec file to create my symbol.

Issue background - We have model view on drawing. We want to add Text mentioning specific location in view. When we add text on model view, it is not hiding background model view lines.Also we dont have functionality for Text with white background in Creo drawings.Workaround test - Failed1) Using Hatched Square added on view with white fill color.With this lines still show in Creo drawing as well as exported PDF. 2) Using Symbol of hatched square filled with white color. With this lines gets hidden in Creo drawing but in exported pdf, lines still shows.

Hi,how can I add the default bend radius in the bend notes? I want to add the default sheet metal bend radius at all notes and for all the feature drawing that I’ll do.Maybe I have do modify a config.pro command? Thank you! Michele Barile

Hi all,I'm working on a Windchill-integrated template library for Creo Parametric (currently on Creo 8, i am updating to 12). The setup is a web-based app (HTML + JavaScript using Pro/Web.Link) that displays a catalog of assembly templates stored in Windchill and allows users to insert them into an active assembly The core problem:When a user selects a template from the catalog, the app needs to do a recursive "Save As" of the entire template hierarchy — renaming every template-owned component to a new order-specific name — before assembling it.
