I'm having an issue.On shielded cables that have pairs, somehow the conductors route, but not the overall cable diameter. Any ideas? I want to avoid saying... Inventor did this, but how do you do it in Creo? However...   Inventor allowed us to setup a project folder on a network drive and associated a library of parts with the folder allowing more than one student to work with the folder at a time. Is there an equivalent using PTC Creo.   Also... Can someone recommend a structure... or a phillosphy on how to get started. Meaning... I've always tought my students a basic configuration and a folder structure to setup before anything is drawn.   Any recommendations?

Hello everyone,I am currently working on a part witch is a pattern of revolves with a defined angle, to fill a complete 360° part.The number of revolves and the angle of the revolve are variable.Now somethimes some of the angled revolves have to be diferent from the standard division angle, and therefori want to delete this pattern and modify the angle for some of the revolves.Is it possible to do this? and if Yes, How do i need to do this?kind regardsRonaldThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 18.1Opening a PKG assembly. Now select part, right-click, but no "hide" or "locate in model tree" command available. Dear,I like to have a better view on the people that logging in to Windchill. That is why I am using the Apache log file to get the ip address of the logged on machine and translate this to a machine name. The problem commes when Citrix users are logging on, then I get one ip address for a number of people logged on.So my question is; can I get more information in the Apache log file so I can identify the windows user properly ? Hi,I tried to restore a worksheet "Document initial" (though it was not created by me), but nothing happened. Tried to add a new line in the file through "Notepad++" program, and also use the old recovery Mathcad worksheet pattern, but there is no result. Perhaps someone has more experience in such cases by repairing of Mathcad worksheets.

Hi,I am working on a requirement where i am pulling the Classification Attributes values (IBA) from Windchill 10.2. When a user enter these IBA vlaues, these values are stored in the database as per the base unit. But when you change the Measuring system in preference, Windchill does the converstion for these IBA values. When you read the values from Database you receive IBA values in their base unit and not as per the Preference Measuring system selected by user or admin.For example: Length: (default unit is mm) for SI measuring system. Now if i change the Measuring system to USCS the mm unit changes to inches and windchill does the value conversion to inches.In mycase i am gettting only the base unit value. I need some API's to convert the values as per the preference measuring system.Please see the attached documents.Can anyone please guide me how to achive this.

I was wondering how I could find the center of gravity in an asm. I know in a part file, you create a CSYS with relations to PRT_CSYS_DEF, but when I do it in an asm, it doesn't work. Also, how can I get the weight of a part and/or asm? These facts would be very useful to have on hand for the upcoming FRC build season.

Hello, in 2012 I purchased MathCAD 15 (for download, so I don't have a CD). I just got a new computer and want to transfer the software & license over rather than having to buy it all over again. I just recieved the e-mail with the license (.dat) file I requested, but I don't have the MathCAD software on my new computer to start the process (again I downloaded, so no CD). Is there anyway I can be sent another e-mail with a link to download the software again? I have the order details from my initial purchase such as the order number and product code if needed. We are ready to purchas a 3D printer so we can print some of our custom parts for this season. We've narrowed our search down to the Maker Bot Replicator, and the MakerGear printers. Does anyone out there have experience with either of these printers, or have a suggestion of an even better device to print from?Thanks for any tips.

I think in Mathcad with Maple not MuPAD we can work both with Symbol math and programming.In Prime - no - see pls pic and file.Can anybody check it (creat the file about cone volume) in Mathcd 11 for example.

We have a multi Org Windchill system, and we're just beginning to think about using Security labels. We don't want all the Orgs to see/use them. Is it possible to set up security label at the ORG level, instead of Site?If not, is it possible to have ORG A see the security labels, but prevent ORG B.Just wondering.

I am trying to rename parts/assemblies on a project someone sent me. But I do not use PDM, so this is the error. Does anyone know how to "unlink" the files from PDM? I installed windchill in the virtual machine. I can log in windchill inside of virtual machine. Host name is vm-windchill. Ip address is 192.168.72.132. Windchill address is http://vm-windchill.localdomain:8080/Windchill/.On the host machine: Added the line: 192.168.72.132 vm-windchill.localdomaininto the hosts file. I can ping vm-windchill.localdomain from the host machine. But when I open windchill from the host machine, it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. Someone can help me, I will appreciate it. Thanks!

I have created a family tree in a part.lets say the family members are called -1,-2,-3,-4,-5.I have a feature pattern of a cut.On the -1 I will only have one cut.On the -2 I will have the pattern set to 2 instances.I do not know how to do. Hi everyone, I'm confused about what is going on with the visualization / publishing software installation in our Windchill 9.1Can anyone help me who has upgraded ProductView to Creo View 2.0?More background:I upgraded ProductView adapters to Creo View adapters on our remote machine that our Windchill server uses to publish jobs.Now our parts, assemblies and drawings are being published to Creo View representations and stored in Windchill and I can open these with Creo View 2.0 Lite that I installed on my computer...
