I am trying to figure out how to change the length of the tails on dimension arrows in Creo 2.0. Good Afternoon! I have spent the last 8 years using SolidWorks but after moving to Seattle with my husband I find I need to expand my software knowledge. I have decided that I would like to learn PTC Creo Parametric. I am hoping to get a book that will allow me to get a good grasp of the software during the 30 day trial period. Does anyone have a suggestion for an excellent book possibly with related online lectures?   I am looking at Creo(TM) Parametric 3.0 by Louis Gary Lamit (http://smile.amazon.com/Creo-Parametric-Louis-Gary-Lamit/dp/1305253183/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420578589&sr=8-1&keywords=PTC+Creo+Parametric) but it is hard to tell by the Amazon description if this would be a good book for my puposes.   Thanks for any help you can give me. I am excited to get started but am going to wait to download until I have a book to allow me the most time with the program.   Cherise

I don't know how to get colors in creo parametric MO10. Morning AllI am modifying a part drawn by A N Other in WF 5.0 M020, we now use Creo 2.0 M110. I have sectioned a part but the drawing will not display the section view.So I checked for any hidden layers in the model and tried to redefine the view and this happens! We are looking to get a program that our Tech. Publications can use to get different views of Parts and Assemblies for the Manuals.I was looking at using Creo View for this but apparently you can't connect Creo View to Windchill. So does anyone know what I can use to connect to Windchill and view our Cad Documents? I don't want to have to purchase a full blown Creo License for this simple task.Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I really would like to use this CAD program with my daughter who is on a USFirst team.She has expressed a interest in doing the design drawing for the Robot team this year. The program took a 12 hrs to download with our slow internet .Followed the instructions to the letter and came up with this error see 37-38 . Then we tried to install on her laptop and got a little farther ,photo 34 got to the install page but only installed a few things required and both home computer and lap top running windows 8. Just not sure what is wrong with this .Thanks Lee Cole

Hi againI am using Pro/Program to generate a part, the problem that I have occurs when I ask for angle dimensions in the INPUT section, because I answer giving a dimension in degrees, but Pro/Program takes the answer as radians, destroying everything... We are on our second year of using Creo 2 and all of a sudden have a license issue and can no longer use Creo.The error message gives the path to the license file, then (-10) Feature has expired.below this it again lists the path then a table with 3 lines starting in CREODMA, CREO PMA, and CREOLA, an expire date of 05-jan-2015 with the text Student2 Locked to: and it gives an alpha numeric string.I have no idea what this all means.Does the student edition have an expiration date?Do I need to re-install.We recently installed Creo on 3 students computers - does this affect anything.Really appreciate any assistance as we are dead in the water on day 4 into the build season!Thanks in advance

I've found an odd behavior in Creo 2 Drawing. When I want to Show Model Annotations, I need to start with nothing selected (not even a view). If I have a view selected then instead of opening the dialog box it just turns on all the annotations in that view! Whatever type I most recently used SMA to Show are all displayed. If I haven't got anything selected, then the dialog box opens as normal. The same automatically-show-all thing happens if I right-click the view name in the Drawing Tree and pick "Show Annotations"I've found a way to get the dialog to appear, of course; I wanted to post here in case anyone else encounters this issue because it set me back for a little while.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I can still log onto Windchill while on a browser like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but I can't register my robotic's team server. I have tried restarting my computer, repairing Creo 3.0, deleting Creo 3.0 and reinstalling it and nothing is working. The error is "invalid server location. Please change the "location" field and try again."

To all Windchill 10.1 admins,Is it possible to have have the Creo View Adapters publish only vertain objects?I have a CAD worker that is publishing fine it is just getting backed up with so many parts when users check-in large assemblies. On faite je comprend pas vraiment l'utilité de la fonction Lock et aussi comment s'mplique dans un cycle de vie?   Par exemple j'ai un cycle de vie avec 4 statut (In work ---->Approver------>Released--------->Product Release), Est ce que la fonction Lock peut me service de bloquer le statut Released jusqu'à ce que je donne le feu vert pour aller au statut suivant Product Release par exemple? Si oui,comment ça fonctionne ? est ce que c'est manuellement ou automatique ? Hi,One of our colleague meet a problem, the Arbortext Editor's icons is missing, but still have button or a black line, you can click it.When setup the installation package and select "Repair", it will OK. But when using one day or two, the icons missed again.I think maybe the icons files is lost, why? Is there any programs are not compatible with the editor?Thanks!

HelloI have a question regarding the simulate application in creo 2.I'm trying to do a FEM simulation on a car frame using curves and beam feature found in Simulate app>Refined model>Beam. But im having issues figuring out how to create movable a-arms (arms that hold the wheels) in the simulation.I've tried using an ordinary assembly but when running the simulation the pipes are fixed everywhere, there is no turning happening in places i want it to.  Se images below:Above is in the assembly, all the red dots represent ball conections and the blue arrow is me moving the upright, se next image. Above result is that the suspension moves up, as expected.  But in the simulation below, its fixed (note the red dot areas):(Oragne color represents a load)  Also,Is it possible to calculate the mass when using the beam feature? Thanks Kind RegardsDanielThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi.Is the KOP for the 2015 FRC game going to be released in a format compatible with both Creo 3.0 and Creo 2.0?The reason I ask is that it seems that parts created in 2.0 are openable in 3.0, but when that part is saved in 3.0, 2.0 can no longer open it.Our team has 2.0 installed on all of our school computers, and if the KOP is going to be released in 3.0 format, that would be awesome to know since then we can switch our computers to 3.0 before the season starts and everything gets crazy (In a good way).Thanks so much,~ Max Tepermeister FIRST FRC Team 2877 (The LigerBots)
