Hello All,I am currently using flexibility for components in assemblies manipulating both dimensions and features (suppressed) in the components. Any thoughts on how to remove the flexibility in an exploded view but retain the flexibility in the unexploded view?For example-- I have a rivet that contains a suppressed feature that mimics the spinning of the head in the assembly. Using flexibility, I resume the feature of the spun head in the assembly to reflect the manufacturing process but in the exploded view, I want to show the rivet without the spun head as the purchased item. This technique could also apply to springs except that a dimension is manipulated instead of a feature.This was previously done with family tables but I would rather not use that method as it creates a seperate number in our WC system and does not relect properly in the BOM.ThanksBrettThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am trying to get a total length of materials needed to complete an assembly. I used flexible definition on the part level so that when imported into assembly, I have a custom length. I created a parameter called "length" at the part level and assigned the dimension that is allowed to change in the assembly. I am trying to add the individual lengths to get a total length of material, i.e. 4 pieces of 2 inch pipe at 12 inches long plus 6 pieces of 2 inch pipe at 6 inches long should equate to 84 total inches of 2 inch pipe needed. The "length" parameter is not showing up at the assembly level and I do not know how to get it too. There are two nodes in a document that say they are locked. How can I unlock these? After a certain amount of time does the lock expire?

Quick question...I think.I'm working on a report. Do I have to copy the report to account for each possible level of indentation (i.e. 1.1 vs 1.1.1.1)? Copy and pasting is working fine it's just a lot of work. Is there a simpler way to basically search out what level the content is at and then use that for RelationshipL2?Thanks!

Dear all,We konw that the dpi basically is used to calculate the print size of a given image. When we change the image resolution ratio, for example, from 96dpi to 200dpi, when I pubish the PDF document, the size of the image are different. The 200dpi's is larger.Then I have some questions: 1. When I publish the PDF, did the the image resolution ratio change? If changed, how much has changed? I'm not sure if some problem in my understanding of basic concepts.But I print the PDF and office word document for the image, I think the image in word document is clearer.2.When I change the image attribute width or scale, the size of the image will change also. Did the the image resolution ratio change? Can I control the dpi by these attribute, how?3.The custom want the image resolution ratio in PDF is 200dpi, and also want a width 70mm, is this possible? Assembling the AndyMark Toughbox Mini gearbox (for practice) and having trouble with one of the pin constraints. The pin on the TB Mini Small Hex Shaft (am-0152) looks to be successful (Placement reports constraints fully defined). But when I hit ok, the status bar gives the following message and I cannot rotate the part with Ctrl-Alt-LMouse: The connection "Connection_3" of component AM-0152.PRT from 2015_DRIVE_GEARBOX.ASM with id path [ 48 ] will be suppressed because of invalid constraint(s).Connection 3 is the rotation constraint, which I have set to the middle plane of the shaft and the housing - just like the part in the KOP. The other pins on the CIM motors and the output shaft work just fine.If this is not the forum for asking, please point me to the right one. Thanks!

When I do a drawing of an assembly I have a standard BOM table that I use. It has repeat regions. The first column corresponds to the item number in the table, which connects back to an integer parameter, "ITEM", in the part. The trouble is the balloons are different sizes depending on whether the integer is 1 or 2 digits. See below. Our Doc Control people don't like this. Does anyone know how to make them the same size regardless of the number of digits in the balloon? I am trying to move a part. The 3D copilot appears (I think that is what it is called, the 3d thing with the arrows and rings that you pull to move an object) but it wants to move the part in directions that are set at 45 degrees offset from the directions I need to move the part. I tried to see if there was a way for me to reorient the global coordinate system but could not find a way to do that. I created a new coordinate system successfully - but it has no effect on anything! What good is a new coordinate system if you can't move parts or measure relative to it????? I see no way to make it the active coordinate system. I looked through the help file and so far have not found a way to make a new coordinate system the active one.   I also tried creating a new workplane and then orienting it in the appropriate direction and then pressing F8 to show the coordinate system of that plane (which is oriented as I need it to be) but then when I go to move the part the 3d copilot is orien

We recently updated from Creo 2.0 to Creo 3.0 M020. We are seeing odd behavior using profile milling, specifically when multiple discrete surfaces are selected in the same profile sequence. The motions between surfaces (regions) are not output as rapids. This was fine in Creo 1 and 2. Any known changes to this? Hello-We are trying to 3D print a part (that is a solid) on a 3D Systems Ekocycle Cube - but .stl is not a file save option (file attached). Is there a licensing issue with the student version that limits .stl files? This will be a significant issue for FIRST Robotics teams that have the combination of Ekocycle grants and Creo Student edition.Thanks-

I'm routing a cable that splits off into 2 connectors. The problem is it won't route using "via network"It shows the simple cable route path. This is weird. It worked fine in the old Creo I thought. Hi, I know this is not logical but still I am curious to know is there any way which we can have the Cable /wire list information on the drawings with out routing in Creo cabling. I got this question by seeing recently that in Creo Schematics 2.0 we are running term tables and because of this most of the information required for this table like Wire number, Connector, spool, From, To, etc information is available in XML file, except the length of the wire. So by assuming that I don't want to know length of the wires, is it possible to show the other information on the Creo Drawing.
