Hi all,what I'm trying to do is the same cam you can see in this youtube video.I have the motion law I want to assign to the rotation of the tower in function of the rotation of the cam.In Mechanism environment, I've made the trace curves of some points of the roller that I've used to cut the cam with surfaces or variable section sweep.For now, I've tried only one roller cut (three in total).The cut was decent but there were points where I have interpenetration between cam and roller; especially at the start and the end of the cut.So I've thinked that I had to rotate the plane of the roller where I've put the points for the trace curves. The situation was better but the motion law I've assigned to the roller was random: a sinusoidal law, as the main one, that at the half reverses the direction (otherwise the cut plane too on itself).But, which is the right motion law to assign to the cut plane of the roller?How would you have done?Would you know tell me where can I find more detailed i

Can Creo 3.0 and Creo 2.0 interact? Our school computers and most of the returning students run Creo 2.0 (releases ranging from M070 to M100 or later); students that download it now, of course, are getting Creo 3.0. We can seamlessly open Creo 2.0 assemblies and parts in the new Creo 3.0 installations, but will we run into issues going the other way? We're not in a position to upgrade the school computers, so if we can't go back and forth, we're going to have to stick with 2.0 everywhere. I opened the worksheet (that was created in Mathcad 11) in Mathcad 15 M030 version. The document is rather large and I can not edit the contents of the file and select anything in therein. What is wrong with this file?

Hi All,I am using Windchill 10.2 M020 and I am unable to create CAD Documents directly in the Workspace. I create it only using creating WTParts with create CAD Documents option. I would like to start looking into integrating the API into some software I'm working on. Basically I am hoping someone can help me with using the sample code at https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS161216. When I try to include mksapi.dll as a reference in my project, I get an error "A reference to 'mksapi.dll' could not be added." I don't have the Visual Studio integration setup but I was under the impression (maybe incorrectly) that this wouldn't be required. Has anyone encountered this before and found a solution?

Hi AllI have a problem with finding files with directory paths in Search.proAs I work with the manufacturing side of the software, I have multiple option files and search.pro files set up for all the machines in the manufacturing process.at the moment it is around 22 sets of files.This has been working ok up til now...We had been orginally using one .prt file to control all of the variation of products by family table, some 600 different parts. This became to unstable, so we split them along family groupings into six .prt files. now the search.pro file was managing this without problem, until this arrangement became to unstable, file just getting to big to manage.We are now spilting the .prt files down into small groupings with very small family tables. so basically we have gone from one file, to six files, now to around 300 files.This is where my problem now starts.This mean each time a new part is now added, I will be force to edit all of my search.pro files to add the folder locatio

In wildfire 4.0 I was able to select a drawing view and activate the model tree for that view. This allowed me to select a point, coordinate system, plane, etc for a dimension without is being visible. I have a simple beam, fully constrained at both ends, with a gravity load applied (gravity applied in Z). When I change on constraint at on end of the beam to be free in Y, add a force at the end of the beam in Y, and measure displacement, the displacement is the same. If I double the load, the displacement is stil the same.   The displament of the beam should decrease with the added tension. I have received a fatal error message and Creo says it has created a Traceback. Why did this happen and how do I fix this. Hello everyone, i wrote an Java EE web-application that communicates via the Java API with our Intergrity-Server. This Application works on my locale JBoss or Tomcat Server fine. Now i want to put this application on our Integrity-server, but i do not know how that works. I searched in the installation path of the integrity server, there i found many .war-files. I also tried some paths, but noone works. I hope i get help here. Thanks in advance. Best regards

Hi Bro's.I am designing some plastic stuffs for home appliances (white goods actually)I want to reduce design time by using standart features (like rips, bosses, screw supports etc.) instead drawing them every time.I have old part's 3d datas which are imported in step format. So I would like to split these standart features from solid parts and use them as assembly parts.Is it possible? I know I've done this before but I can't remember how I did it. I even have a part assembled in this way but I can't seem to re-create it. I have an assembly with some small parts in it that I want to be able to move around freely (translate and rotate). On the compenent that was assembled a while back, I can right click on the component and there is "edit" (right above "edit definition") and when I click that I can update x, y, z directions and x, y, z angles. Hi there, I am on a FTC team and am trying to install creo. I fill out the form and it takes me to a page with a link that says download instructions. However, the link (http://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo3_schools.pdf) yields an error 404. Does anyone know how to install Creo 3.0 for students.

Hello,I created a table with primary key constraint then I added 2 foreign key constraints, but we changed our naming convention and I wanted to update one of the constraint names but when I promote the script it tells me it failed because constraint 1 was already created.When I add or change constraints do I need to update the source with Drop commands? or comment out previous commands? what is supposed to be the technique for managing the source for constraints on a table?

Hi,I'm having problems with the display of Planes and Axis controls in Creo 2.0When starting up the software I get the following Warning Error Message.Upon trying to create an Axis on a revolved surface, the Axis line is not visible. Not running creo 2.0 student edition though installed successfully on my core to duo 64 bit operating system.
