I need to create an OEM part to attach with Part Request. The condition of OEM part is that the source attribute value should be "buy".In the Type & Attribute Manager, the source attribute values are already defined OOTB as "buy|make|singlesource|NOT_SET value, But while creating the part, the source attribute shows only the "Not Set" in the drop down list.Do we need to enable somewhere in the preferences or properties file to list the make/buy/singlesource values?Please help me.Windchill Version: 10.2 M020Thanks in Advance.Suresh Babu AD

Hi, I am trying to find the relationship between the part and workpage. I have a requirement to get the list of parts on Workpackage, Workpackage number will be provided. I used QueryBuilder to get the link between Workpackage and parts on Workpackage but i did not get the expected results. What type of link is created between a Workpackage and WTPart. In Query Builder i found these related links to Workpackage but none was of useful.

FRC team 1622 is exploring the idea of using a Gantt Chart within PTC Windchill. We are interested in anyone or team that has used Windchill in this fashion. Looking for an example and some help with Windchill.

We are trying to design a lift that uses multiple linear slides to obtain a certain height. We have constrained all of the linear slides in such a way that they should all be able to extend and collapse using the "Drag Components" command. What we actually get is the 1st linear slide (the lowest slide) moves, but the 2nd and 3rd slides will not move. We have attached the files in a ZIP folder. Please keep in mind that we downloaded the linear slide model off of McMaster-Carr (link inserted below) and was imported using a .STEP file format. We then reconfigured the .STEP file to animate, and it works in the sub-assembly of just the linear slide. The linear slide we downloaded was the 16" version. The attached contains an expression I wish to use in a solver to determine x-amount of constants (the Q's) from a system of an equal amount of equations and unknowns (the constants). The problem in mathcad arises when I'm using multiple (two) arrays within the solve block.

Hello,I have received a task of simulating a difficult scenario.Rubber (Elastollan 1185A) is over moulded over a plastic part (PBT GF20).The rubber stays on the part due to adhesion between the contact region.My task is to simulate the situation where the rubber peels off from the plastic part due to pinching force applied on the rubber.I am unable to comprehend how to simulate this with Simulate 2.0?Also the available material data for both the materials is limited (from vendor's material sheet): UTS, Poisson's ratio, Breakage Strain, etc.For both materials I have the stress-strain curves: plastic being elasto-plastic and rubber being hyper-elastic.I have already created materials in Simulate for the same but dont know how to proceed further?Also is the co-efficient of friction between the 2 surfaces required? I would like to redirect the ID and/or any errors from the command window to a text file that can be viewed at a later time. Hello all, I have been working with Creo 3 for a few days now & keep running into the same problem with some parameter values I have displayed in a table on a drawing. The table contains many cells, most of which contain 1 parameter value, but several cells contain 2 or more parameter values. The problem arises when I want to edit a value where a cell contains 2 or more parameters, I cannot select & change the required parameter. Where a single parameter appears in a cell, you can pick the value, right click, & edit value appears at the bottom of the menu that pops up. You don't get the same behaviour when 2 exist in a cell. I spent over an hour trying to figure this out this afternoon, to no avail. I ended up changing the parameter values in my models which was a pain, swapping back & forth between models & drawing. One of of the biggest changes between Creo 2 & 3 is in drawing mode, with respect to creating & editing notes, I am not so sure I like it. May

Hi,First time posting on these forums, been reading around for a couple of years though.I would like to create a plot of 4 functions (let's say it's different pressures depending on a variable, h). I've done this in the appended example.However, I would now like to plot only 2 of the functions if a variable, say "condition", is =1.How can I do this? I have tried adding an "if" statement on the y-axis of the plot itself, like this:----f.1(h) if condition=1----, but I get a critical error when doing that, and the plot goes blank.I'm using MathCad 15.Any suggestions are appreciated,Thank you,Hampus

Good morning everybody,I have a question about the managing of 3D models. We are a plastic industry company and we make our molds.When we make a mold, we have a 3D model of plastic article in CREO, then We apply a Shrinkage and have parts of mold. Then manufacture all the mold parts, assemble and test until desired plastic parts. Often the obtained plastic parts in the injection process does not coincide with the plastic article drawing but these plastic parts are good for our customers. In this moment, We edit manually the dimensions in the drawing and then our customer approve this specification drawing.The problem is that the plastic article 3D model does not coincide with the drawing dimensions. I am working on an assembly that was copied from another assembly. Some of the reused components are being updated, and I want to have the changes shown in my current session. Hello,It is sometimes difficult to locate the region where there is a maximum/minimum value for a result.Aditionally it is difficult to understand which is the maximum/minimum value for a result.Is 634.073 the maximum value or just a boundary for the fringe and the maximum may be lower than that?I am using Creo Simulate 2.0.So here are my questions:1. I am working on a school project, and I need to design this building in a 3-D building model. I have only experimented with 3-d software on the computer once and never had any luck with it. Would anyone be willing to design this for me? It is a 200 x 200 x 25 (length, width, height) before the curving and the corner cut. Half of the building is two story while the other half remains open. We design machines and many of the parts are purchased, we do not know the exact dimensions but want to undertake the design work. We will use a part that is close from our library until we are able to finalize the details. We want to be able to identify these parts as incomplete and in need of finalization by just looking at the assembly drawing. We need a method to make them stand our from the other final parts so we don't go to manufacture with incorrect details in the drawing. Sometimes we check out things to the workspace and then end up not modifying them at all. Is there any way to have windchill still check them in instead of preventing unmodified objects from going to the server?

We are trying to set up Windchill for the first time. We have some files that we have uploaded to windchill, but cannot move them from the main project area into a specific folder. Can someone please let us know how to do this? Whenever we try to re-designate the folder location in Creo before we upload the files, Windchill says to use the "Move Command" in the server. We have looked throughout the server and cannot find such a command. Is there something we are doing wrong or is there simply a different method?

So basically I'm looking for a variable to reference the working directory in the config.pro file.   Similar to this line: drawing_setup_file $PRO_DIRECTORY\text\prodetail.dtl   Except for the working directory.
