Hi,Newbie here, and the PTC communities search engine doesn't return useful results for me. So, my goal is to install PTC Integrity on a VM running XP SP3 with 3 GB of RAM. All pre-requites are already running on the VM.I used the flexnet provided with the Integrity media. Unzipped the flexnet.zip file, and run the setup.bat. And finally I have a lmadmin Windows service running. I can connect the Flexnet web interface. If I run "netstat -ano", I see the port 27000 is open and listening.Before the Flexnet installation, I first put the license.dat file in the "Docs & Settings\<my user account>" folder. And in the Flexnet folder, there is a licenses\MKS\license.dat file.If I go to the web interface -> Dashboard, I see the following message: "No such feature or vendor does not exist: MKS".Then, if I go to the web interface -> Administration -> Vendor Daemons, I see my MKS license in the stopped state. For a college CAD course I'm creating an involute spur gear. We're given a tutorial to follow and typically I never have an issue, but I cant seem to get a diametrical dimension. The issue is when using the center and ends arc option in the sketcher the program is refusing to give me the distance from the center to the line. It will only give me the arclength of the curve. I have tried using the Normal option, selecting the center and curve, and pressing MMB to no avail. I get a 0.00 REF dimension. When I convert MC 15 worksheets to Prime 2.0 or 3.0 worksheets, the converter adds red lines and arrows at various points in the worksheets. There is no indication why these are there, and more importantly, I cannot find any way to delete these. Does anyone know why these have been added, and how I can get rid of them?Vic Roberts

Hi @all,i'm using Integrity 10.2 ChangeManagement. I have 3 different item-types: one request, one task and one backing item. The backing item will hold at least two fields: "modulename" (short text) and "developer" (userfield). The request will hold an ibpl-field based at the backing item, where the user could choose modulenames (multivalue). If the request comes into a new state, a task item should be generated for each selected modulename. The task also holds some fields: modulename (short text) and developer (also ibpl based at the backing item). So far all of this works by a trigger. But now comes my question: how can i assign each task to the developer, which is set to the module in the backing item? With constraints i could filter the ibpl-field in the task according to the packagename, so i couldnt choose the wrong user. But i also couldnt preselect the userfield. But thats what i want. Is this possible without a trigger?Thanks, Jens

I have a xref that is not publishing as a blue. It is located in a table. The xref outside the table publishes fine. I think it is a formating issue. Where do I need to look in styler? under the Xref element and if so do I need to make and if statement??Thanks Bryon

Hi:My code contains 3 parameters (x1,x2,a2) and uses minerr(x1,x2,a2) to shoot a minimum error.In the code, I first give 3 initial values to x1,x2,a2 (Ex: x1=3, x2=3, a2=3).Then minerr(x1,x2,a2) returns me another 3 values of x1,x2,a2 (Ex: x1=1, x2=1, a2=1).My question is:I know minerr() utilize LMA to find x1=1, x2=1, a2=1 after several loops.Is there any bulit-in function or written code can be use to record how minerr() find x1=1, x2=1, a2=1?The reason of asking this question is for code debug purpose...

I can't seem to find a way to show a datum plane in my drawing view. I would like to show the plane and make dimensions to it. I called support about this, but they said it was impossible to show the datum plane, except for when the datum plane view was turned on. I want to select the datum planes I want to show, similar to how you would show a hole axis by clicking on "show model annotations" and selecting the axis you want to show. I've searched the forum, and all I can find are some old posts on the subject.If I am given an Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE), and am told to plot the direction field, can I do so in Mathcad 14?For example:Graph a direction field. I am working with Creo Parametric 2.0 to create drawings of revised sheet metal parts. These are large parts and assemblies with multiple sheet drawings. What is the quickest/easiest way to create a new revision of a part and its drawing? For example, I added some basic holes to one to create a rev B part, but now I am faced with how to easily make the drawing for the rev B with out having to redo all the dimensions, views, etc.   I used to use Inventor, and there you could change the referenced part in the model tree. I tried to do the same thing here by highlighting the part, clicking the drawing models button, then clicking "add model" to insert my revB part. This changes the name in the model tree, but doesn't show the changes to the part. I tried to delete the old revA part by clicking "del model", but no luck. Also, if I save this drawing then reopen it, the part in the model tree reverts back to the revA.   I also tried seeing if I could do some magic with save as, wh

Great thanks to previous posts for the content in my file. However I'm trying to modify a double interpolation program so it only returns values within the set. Basically I want to set the minimum and maximum values to be the outermost rows/columns. For example, if Cr is less than 0.16 and Ar is less than 0.05 i want a return of 1.95. Similarly if Cr is 1.5 and Ar is 2, I want a return of 1.40. Your advice and suggestions in lamens terms is greatly appreciated. The spline function to the right of the page is similar and needs the same attention however its linear interpolation so should be less complicated.

I am trying to access the Workflow Definer to view the graphic layout of the workflow. The initial template window appears warning not that it should not be closed. A warning then appears asking if I want to run the application. When I click "run" the workflow window opens but it is blank. It does have a java icon beside it but there is no error.I am using Windchill 10.1 on IE 8. I was told to install Java 32 bit (1.6.0_21) and this would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, this is not the case.Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this? By the way, another user is able to view the workflow. We cannot see any difference in our setup.ThanksKR

I made a cylindar for the base of the assembly, and I created a blade, but I cannot figure out how to pattern copies of the blade around the base evenly. Can we run Creo 2.0 Academic edition on a computer with Intel Integrated Graphics and a 1366 x 768 display? If yes, is it even worth it. The computer is Dell Vostro 3450. The specs say that it supports OpenGL. It has win 7 64 bit and 4GB. We are a rookie First Tech team and would like to try out our free Creo 2.0 license. But for now we don’t have access to any PC that is either supported or certified in PTCs official list.

I was wondering if there is some way to modify Windchill such that you would be able to search on the old name as well. I know that you can view the rename history but that is not searchable. If I rename 123456.prt to 654321.prt I would like to be able to search for 123456.prt? thanks in AdvanceEd

Hello,I am fairly new to Parametric. I am trying to model a steam coil. I have tried using a helical sweep and creating a datum curve as my path for my sweet. After trying both they give me poor looking geometry when shaded. Is this just a graphics option that I can change or are these bad options to use for pipe modeling.
