Good morning,I have been working in a problem that requires several steps in one function. Is like creating several tables and each one with specific information. At the end, my interest is the final value of one of those "tables", but it would be nice if I can show the result of the others tables (the entire table). Please see attached example, to understand a little bit more my issue: There are two functions ("Func" and "Func2" they are the same but they have a different return) with a loop. In each iteration I am creating a new row of each "table", and using that information I estimate the next. The tables should handle units, so that's why I use arbitrary units in this example.My question is: as you can appreciate I use two functions to get the required value and the "other tables", but they are actually the same. do you know if there is any way I can get all (value and "tables") from the first function? something like multiple return?Thanks a lot,OJ.

I'm having a problem in a drawing that I haven't been able to figure out... There were axes in a view that I didn't want in there, so I did: right-click>erase on those that I didn't want. Later I decided I needed one back so I tried: Show Model Annotations > Model Datums > All. When I try this the axes I erased do not appear again... Is there an option I can change or a layer I need to turn on or anything short of making new axes in the model to resovle this issue? Is it possible to reference the PTC_MATERIAL_DESCRIPTION within a note.... this parameter is located within the assigned material. It works if i grab it within a table on the drawing, BUT is it possible to do it within a note... if it is, what is the procedure to do so.   If someone could please help me with this that would be great, this would benifit, right now we are creating a parameter called &material.... but it is not related to the designated material, so when someone changes the material of the part, the material note doesnt updated, it renames the same.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello,I am using a Net Based Creo Parametric 2.0. When I export an engineering drawing to a PDF file, the resulting lines are too thick, and obscure some of the fine details. I have attempted to follow what others have written, which have to do with including pentable files in the working directory and/or modifying the config.pro file, and checking the "Use Pentable" box in the export dialog box. However, (1) there is no pentable.pnt file in my working directory, and when I create one (opening a notepad text file, copying some suggested block of code like the one below into it:pen 1 thickness 0.003 inpen 2 thickness 0.005 in etc.and finally saving it as a .pnt file), I can't reopen the resulting .pnt file; I get an error that says "can't open because file is corrupt." (2) I have tried to copy certain blocks of code into the config file but to no avail.If someone would be so kind, what I seek is a clear, step-by-step explanation of everything I need to do to get a PDF with thin black li

Hi,Here's the problem I'm having in CREO Elements/Pro 5: I have a BOM table that contains a few parts that exist as 2 or 3 models but are the same part number (ie. 12345-1, 12345-2, ect.) but I would like to edit them to not show the dash number on the BOM since those dash numbers don't exist in the system. Is there a way to pull the model name into each model's parameter window so that it still will automatically show in the BOM table but if I want to edit a handful of part numbers to delete the extra numbers I would be able to without having to enter all the part numbers in the BOM table manually?Or is there a better way to go about this?Thanks,BenThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am converting old wildfire border formats into creo 2.0 for drawings, but most text show small in print out PDF. I increase font size that shown out box in format and out of control in PDF. I am running an old Wildfire 2.0 (M240) 32-bit and Intralink 3.4.My company has invested in a new computer for me, HP Z420 Windows 7, 64-bit with NVIDIA Quadro 2000.After a few adjustements in two of the intralink-files, all are up and running and work just fine.Except when i open a drawing (.drw) an try to change a dimension (right-klick and propertis). Poff!! Pro/E has crashed.I am not able to update in to newer software. My computer runs windows 7 64 bit and meets all of the specifications for Creo. I have my product code, but everytime I run the setup wizard to generate the license it returns this:A failure occured during license generation.An unknown error occured requesting a license file be generated from ptc.comI am using this software in an engineering elective at Univerisity of Alabama Birmingham.

Just started using Creo Elements Direct 18.1 this week. Was using CoCretea 2007 previously.   After loading the Sheet Metal module, the Layout tab disappears and I haven't figured out how to get it back without exiting and restaring the software.   Has this happened to anyone else? My company is in the transition to Creo from AutoCAD. On occasion we need to export a .dxf or .dwg file for use in AutoCAD. Currently we are unable to open these files with our AutoCAD. We are using AutoCAD R14, I'm sure this is why we can't open the files from Creo. PLease see attached file.I am dealing with percoaltion theory for disease spread. My programme currently randomly immusies a percentage of the population and then infects one of them and the final programme lets the disease spread.However I want to be able to call different stages of the disease spread from the final programme. I thought of doing this by calling each matrix created after every run in the loop called I_pop and put them into a matrix so i can easily call each partition of that matrix. however I dont know how to return all matrices from my loop and not just the one created at the end.Any help would be appreciated.

Recently we have Installed Windchill 10.1 with certain versioning scheme in which A1 comes after A10 and I have uploaded all the legacy data with that versioning scheme now i realise that A1 should be before A10. I am afraid that if I change the version order the data may get corrupt. Can I have a work aroud for that? Later after the data loading I will be disabling A1 as legacy version.

I need the two points to coincide simultaneously so as to change the scale from 14.30 to some other number... i cant change the scale manually by trial-error method and zoom it to see whether it's coinciding or not ... i'm able to coincide any one pair but not both!! I'm working through the part modeling exercise in Section 2 of "How to Model Almost Anything", and I can't figure out how to assign the material (brass in the example). Tried Applications->Simulate which launched Simulate Lite. I think I managed to assign brass to the part, but whenever I try Analysis->Mass Properties I'm getting the default density of 1 Kg / mm^3.

I'm attempting to setup a very simple read only integration with Windchill. There's an abundance of documentation on the Info*Engine, but much of it seems to start in the middle, with almost nothing on actually getting started. I'm also a little stumped on what approach is actually considered the current best practice. In our situation, we will have the Windchill instance on one server and the other application on a completely differnt server. We've done this specific integration with other apps several times now and we we've typically used fairly straightforward SOAP or REST web services to pull information from the other application. So what is the best way to do this with Windchill?Our connector architecture is all Java based so in an ideal world we could write something to access the Windchill directly, but if we need to use a web service, that's fine too. The BOM, logically should be inherent to the assembly!I've recently hammered through this issue with it working the way it should have been working for a LONG time!I state the obvious, that we modify parts using this technique. I add graphics to a model by creating an appearrance & adding as a texture. It works great in my workspace but when I check it into pdmlink the graphics disappear. If I open it up again in my workspace the appearance is still there but the graphica I added a s a texture are gone. I have been running CREO 2.0 for a few months now. I think I need some advise on J-Link parameter manipulation. It's supposed to be a very simple function, but I didn't managed to find a solution: To list all pararmeter in a model ,set some of them to a different value and then regenerate this model. I know there would be a simple way to do that, but through out the internet I only found a Pro/TOOLKIT solution based on C++, any advice about how to implement it with J-Link ? HiI have trouble simplifying some functions in Mathcad 14.The problem is that Mathcad does not simplify the functions exact. I have two examples attached so you can see the "problem".Is there any possibility to get a more exact simplifying?

Is there a way to change the origin of the IsoDraw drawing field?Here's my issue:Whenever I open a .dwg or .cgm (based off of a .dwg) the file is located in the upper-right of the drawing field, with some of the drawing extending beyond the edges of the drawing field. When creating a PDF, all of the info beyond the edges is left out, so that info is essentially lost. Bringing in a PDF or picture, however, does not have this happen and it looks like they align with the center of the IsoDraw field.I know that I can just select and drag the whole thing so that it fits inside the drawing field, but is there a way to set up IsoDraw so that this happens automatically and/or by default?See attached picture for reference to placement upon opening the drawing.

Hi everybody,I do not understand the following: I have a signal, an acceleration: the units are of course [m/sec2]. Now the Fourier Transform of a function should have the dimensions of [function]*time.So the FFT of my signal should have the dimensions of [m/sec]What I get (I am actually using cfft, but that should not do any difference)cfft(acceleration) --> units [m/sec2]why does this happen? it should be [m/s]I discovered the problem while trying to compute the Power Spectral Density of the acceleration signal (that is what I actually want). It comes out with the wrong units.
