Is there a way to get more color choices in the student and academic versions of Creo? Many of the team robot models appear to have many more colors for their parts that we can't seem to find.

I'm trying to debug a function that is returning NaN's somewhat sporatically and for no obvious (to me) reason. I didn't write this function, but have gone through it pretty carefully and can't find anything that looks wrong -- though I'm a fairly new mathcad user. Basically, the function pulls in some part numbers, queries a database for some values that go with those part numbers (ESR, Capacitance and ESL for those interested), does a few simple matrix operations and returns the result. It works fine when the number of parts is low (below 11 seems to work every time) but when my part number matrix is too long I get random NaN's as a result of the matrix operations. Hopefully the attached screenshots will explain better in detail -- they show the function and various outputs with 6, 14 and 44 parts. Hi all,I would like to be able to select / assign a material when I start a new part without having to go through file>properties>materials....In short, I want to modify the models properties without having to go through the menus. Hi,I have been given the polynominal regression coefficients for the torque, thrust, and efficiency curves - corresponding to different propeller pitch to diameter ratios. When I graph these curves - they come out fine - apart from the fact - that because they are polynomials - they "re-appear" - outwith the range of that particular curve.So my question is - how can the "rubbish" be filtered out of these regression curves? If you look at the attached spreadsheet - you will see the efficiency curves - have a lot of rubbish - beyond the "curve".So in essence - I would like to "stop" - the graph - once the "curve" has been displayed. I suspect - I need a program to do this - but I am unsure how to do this.Look forward to your ideas.Gordon.

After I insert a table, I want to add a row above, but I only can add a row below. How to switch from "add row below" to "add row above".I didn't find option.

I'm trying to run an optimisation study on a gear with a thin web and holes drilled through the web.I've set up some relations to keep the web in the middle of the gear facewidth, and I've used the web thickness and the hole diameter as design variables in the study.The .rpt file keeps giving the error:** Warning: Changing the parameters has produced invalid model or geometry for the following parameter values:Parameters: d18 10.14 (this is the web thickness, which started at 10) d28 20 (hole diameter, unchanged in this iteration)Recovering from invalid parameter values by cuttingstep size.but if I go back to the model and enter the values it shows (which are only a small change from the start point) it regenerates fine.What gives?(Initially I used the number of holes as a variable, leaving the diameter fixed, but it recognised the unit as "mm" and then started trying to use non-integer values!)Edit: I've tried it with both "Repeat P-Loop Convergence" and "Remesh after each shape upda

Creo 2I've been unable to use the control key in the naming/activation of mapkeys. I know I would be unable to use a, x,c& v but would like to setup mapkeys such as CTRL+m to activate the model ribbon tab.Anyone know if such is possible?Thanks,~Dan

When I try to install the Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 Student Edition from the disk it gives me an error message that states: This mode requires an internet connection to access PTC.com.

Here's what should be a simple question. When I use the round feature and it gives me a dimension of 10 , what does that mean? Is the ten based on a radius from some center point, or is it a length, or a number of degrees on a circle. There is nothing that tells me. I guess for seasoned engineers this is a no brainer, but for a computer programmer who is now teaching CAD....??Also the same question on creating ARCS. Is there a way to figure out the measurement system at play.Thanks for your patience.

I am wondering if it is possible to get a result like this:f(x):=2*x+5x:=10f(x)=2*10+5=25I mean that Mathcad puts the x and shows the first step because retriving only f(x)=25 is less usefull than seeing from what values it is doneI do not want the programm to do it step by step likef(x)=2*10+5=20+5=25I just need to see the first stepofc it is just a simply example to make it clear

I have been using Windchill a long time and today I saw a symbol I have never seen before, can anyone tell me what this is(see image). Normaly these show as parts(the blue cube). After refreshing my workspace they show normal, I'm just wondering what this means and why it would have shown this way.

One task (see pictures and load files Mathcad Prime 2.0):All is OK!But it is a linear system and it is better use the lsolve function:Mathcad Prime can not works here with units and I must do so:It it a bug in new possibility of Mathcad Prime (different dimensions in array) or I do something wrong? Hi, I have small problem with table. I create drawing of assembly, and I create table. I create repeat region and insert paramters. If I update table, i have numbers from up to down. My question is. How I change orientation this number? I have in mind that numbers go from down to up. How I change it? Does anyone here have a working knowledge of NX?I've been provided with some client models in NX format, but as I don't use NX I'm importing them into Pro/E to incorporate in a new assembly, and in some cases to modify - although for illustration rather than manufacture.I've opened the assembly in NX, exported as STEP, and imported into Pro/E (WF4). In principle this has worked, but many of the more complex parts (cast gearbox casings) have failed to solidify, in one case with myriad tiny gaps, e.g. at the edges around drilled hole points. This is making them rather awkward to modify.Does anyone know either a) a better way to do the conversion, or b) some settings I can change (probably in the NX export) to improve the STEP accuracy?IDD isn't an option - I've tried on a couple of models and the Search tool fails to find any gaps; hunting them down manually would take hours, and finding the last ones would be almost impossible.Thanks!This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Communi

After using Arbortext and its predecessors on the Unix platform for the last 18+ years, we are switching to the Windows platform now that Unix will no longer be supported. I wondered if anyone else has made this transition and could offer some advice? We have a lot of customizations and I'm curious about how much work I should expect to make this transition. I would like to keep the changes to the interface and functionality to a minimum so as to not alarm our users. Any advice that anyone can offer would be very much appreciated.Regards,Rick
