Hello everyoneim a fairly new user to pro e had it 3 months now im having a problem that when i generate the nc file when it generates the g3 or g2 code with i and j code if i take more than 1 cut the i and j code are mising, if i just take the single cut the i and j are there. im using pro e 5 and creo 1.0 any ideas would be gratefull

granted I have only a couple of months experience with the administration of windchill, but I've spent 4+ hours on the phone with ptc support over several days trying to get a solidworks adapter to publish a creo viewable when a solidworks file is checked in...wvs job monitor log for all of the jobs contains a line "No Processing Required" and then finishes with the exit process....all all adapters this hard to debug or maybe just solidworks? (wc 10 M030)

I appreciate it if you could let me know if it is possible to minimize this in MathCAD. The problem is minimization of an error function with 24 constants(should be found by optimization) and 1 variable.Error(a11,b11,d11,a12,b12,d12,a13,b13,d13,a22,b22,d22,a23,b23,d23,a33,b33,d33,a66,b66,d66,a77,b77,d77,eps)So I want to find constant aij,bij and dij so that Error(eps) is minimum when 0<eps<0.1(at any eps), Is it possible to optimize this using Mathcad? Hi,I'm trying to do a tolerance analysis on an actuation system so that the inputs to the solve block are vectors containing minimum, nominal, and maximum dimensions of parts of interest.I've attached the file.Currently, the solve block "kinda" works except for the followings:the answer it gives is a scalarif the input vectors contain same values: all nominal, all minimum, or all maximum, scalar answer that the solve blocks calculates has a correct value as soon as I mix elements in the vectors: nominal, maximum, and minimum, then the solve block produces a ball-park value scalar.Maybe the vectorizations in the file (especially, inside the block) isn't right?The bottomline is I need a vector output corresponding to different tolerances.Can anyone help me with this?Thanks in advance,Eric

Hi, first of all: This forum is a great source for me to use and understand IsoDraws macro language. Great. Never the less i have a question to the „element.text.backfill_color“My goal is to tell a text element to use no (no) backfill color. (note that backfill color is not the color of the written text itself but the color behind the text)Now i looked in the newest macro reference and found the way to set the color of the background of a text element as ColorSpec („element.text.backfill_color“ )But how can i tell the text element to use no backfill at all?I tried several ways but my macro knowledge is not that big (yet).I also tried to set „$ISO_NOFILL“ as a color (since it is written in the reference - but it didn’t work out)Might be super easy but I can’t find it.Any idea is very much appreciated. Hi I would like to know how to change the dimensions style in a drawing.By standard the text is always viewed from below however I would like to have the vertical dimensions viewed from the right? I would also like all the text to sit above the dimension line.I presume these are all editable somehow in the config file as is the case for most things in Creo. Hello,I'm looking for some help on creating a .SEC file. I have an imported (no reference geometry, or feature tree) solid model from a customer. What I need to do is create a section cut of the model, through a particular plane. I will then use that particular .SEC file to create other part models.I DO NOT want to start an assembly, and then create the new part in the assembly. That method creates far too many "link" headaches within my system at work. The only method I know of right now is to create a plane, start a sketch on that plane, and use the "USE" function. The "USE" function (in my opinion) is very temperamental though. Especially if you try to use the "LOOP" function. I'm coming from CATIA where there is such a thing as a "CUT" function. You pick a plane, and then pick a solid, and the system creates a sketch of the intersection between them. Hi all,If I use an Excel component in Mathcad and pass any number of input variables into the Excel Spreadsheet, is there a way to control what units are passed into the spreadsheet?I've already tried:Multiplying the input by the correct unit. (e.g. if I wanted a variable to pass as an meter, I tried writing VariableA*m in the input feild.... doesn't work.)Changing the overall units of the spreadhseet. For some variables this works gloriously as you can see in the attached spreadsheet. But for others (power and pressure) it doesn't seem to work.Please see the attached Mathcad sheet. If you change the Worksheet Units from SI to U.S. you will see the weird behavior of some units properly adjusting while others give incorrect values.Any advice would be appreciated.Edit: I'm using version 15 of Mathcad if that makes a difference.

I have a problem with the function of maximize today. I tried to simplify the problem with the short calculation attached.It's about a 3x1 vector fu which is a function of a single variable n.I want to use the maximize function to return a 3x1 vector of n that gives the maximum value of each element of fu. But it seems not working in my calculation.Can anybody please help me?

Hi, help me please, i have two mathcad files(for example: a.xmcd, b.xmcd) in a.xmcd i have one number and i export this number in 1.txt file, in b.xmcd file i import that number from 1.txt and i use it to resolve one ecuation, result i export in 2.txt file and from 2.txt i import in a.xmcd file, it works, but i have one probleme, every time i change this number i must restart both mathcad files so the ecuation can be solved with new number. How can i do this with avoiding restarting mathcad files.Don't ask why a need this .Sorry for my english.

I've having a bit of a problem using the rkfixed function (have tried Rkadapt and Odesolve and results in the same problem). The ODE describes the temperature profile in a length of pipe cooling from the feed temperature to an ambient temperature. However, the rkfixed solution results in an unexpected exponential growth curve. Luckily the function can actually be integrated by hand, plotting this gives the expected exponential decay.Graph in the attached file shows the rkfixed result as T and the analytical solution as Tb.ThanksCameron

I'm new to Creo Parametric and CAD in general, and am currently experimenting through modelling simple parts.I'm unable to get the profile rib to extend to the desired width of 8mm (see attatched.) When I attempt to go beyond about 4.5mm, I get the error 'feature failed to regenerate'.Why is this? Any help would be awesome; thanks!

I'm having trouble converting 3D drawings to 2D and adding color to multiple items. I can add one color no problem, but trying to add two different colors seems ify at best when using the Help in IsoDraw. Also, sometimes adding color works, and sometimes it doesn't. I tried adding color twice back to back, and the first time it worked, but the second time it didn't. Is this an isoDraw issue or type of 3D model I'm using...STEP vs IGES? I'm using STEP 203. Anyone have this problem and or have any suggestions?Thanks...

I'm currently using Windchill 9.1 and no one here is happy with it. For those of you who have tried 10.0, are you happy with it? Would you recommend it to friends?

Has anyone had success in compiling the make_install test app on a Windows 7 64 bit platform? I've successfully compiled on XP 32 and 64 bit, but it chokes on Win 7 with an NMAKE error. Hi. I have a custom FN symbol that has a left and right "quantity" (i.e., allow users to enter 2X, 3X, etc...). Is it possible to make the default variable text empty or blank? It's going to get annoying for the users to constantly delete that text and I'm just trying to save them the headache.Thanks.

I recently opened a couple of worksheets in Mathcad 15 that I hadn't used in 4-5 years. They were created in an earlier version. The graph scales in these worksheets contain one or more numbers with a large number of decimals; for instance 0.299999999999 instead of 0.3. The number of these that appear in any particular axis (always the vertical) varies with the number of increments I assign to that axis. I've tried to change the number of digits after the decimal point [Format:Number Format] but nothing changes.Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I'm trying to do something that's intuitively simple on paper, but potentially very tricky for a computer program (so tricky, in fact, that I'm not sure how to explain it in rigorous terms; thus the long post).
