Hello,I would like to makex/2a variable. In otherwords, I want to solve for:x/2 := A + 2BWhere A and B are known. Mathcad will only let me solve for x, not x/2.Is there a way I can do this?

I'm a new user coming from using Excel for years. My company is looking into ways to streamline our design processes. I've downloaded the demo of Mathcad Prime 2.0 to see if it fit our needs. (On a side note, I think it is a shame that Prime 2.0 is missing seemingly major functionality found in Mathcad 15. Not being able to title or label plots is a big one for us.)I thought I would start out my trial of Mathcad by using it in my current work on pump selection on a water delivery design I'm working on. So I have some pump data which I have plotted using a fit polynomial fit curve. On the same plot I have a polynomial curve fit to system data. In excel I can create this fit curve (called a trendline in excel) then have excel display the equation used to define the trendline. I can then use the equations of my two fit curves to find the intersection.In mathcad I would think this would involve using a solve block, but since I used the regress() and interp() functions to make the fit curve

Hello All,So I reciently made the switch from Solid Works to Creo, and I am having trouble manipulating my models. Creo and SW both let the user zoom by scrolling the mouse's scroll wheel, and they both let the user rotate the part around a point by clicking the point with the scroll wheel (not scrolling, but using it to click), holding it, and than moving the mouse around to rotate the part. What I am having trouble doing is moving the part relative to the screen to the left/right. I am not talking about rotating the part at all, but simply moving it up/down/left/right. In SW, you can simply left-click on the part and while holding the left mouse button, you can drag the part up/down/left/right by dragging the mouse in the corrosponding direction. With Creo, I cannot do this. I find myself having to zoom out, placeing the mouse where I want to zoom in, and than zooming in at the desired point. This is very cumbersome, compared to simply left clicking and dragging the part as I did in

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit8GB RAMNVIDIA GT 550MCreo Elements Pro 5.0Every time I try to render using PhotoLUX, the result is a solid black screen. I can render using PhotoRender but the quality isn't that great.I have tried every scene, moving floors/walls/etc, adjusting lights, adjusting effects...all with the same result. I have tried Draft to Maximum quality. Output Full Window to JPEG to TIF...all the rendered files are solid black. It's driving me insane! I've followed as many tutorials as I can...step by step, but my result is solid black as opposed to the tutorials results of a completely rendered model. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I have a range of values that is entered in the program. in this case CL and HL, which are the height of a telephone pole. here are the equations i have to work with.h=0.001*S^alpha + CLc=C1+2*h^betaS=L/(N-1)D=N/NPand CT=c*N+NW(1 and 2)*C2*Daplha,CL,C1, C2, beta, NW1, NW2, L, HM, HL, NP are all variables entered at the beginning of the program.i need to find the lowest total cost (CT) with respect to the height when it is between CL and HL for NW1 and then between HL and HM for NW2. HL is the deciding point between a crew of NW1 for below HL, and above is NW2. I attached a copy of the assignment and tomorrow will attach a copy of what i have so far.

Could anyone give me advice on what to do when you would like to draw a curve on a quilt, but it is made up of several panels so the COS tool does not work? I have wanted to do this far too many times now and not been able to. Any advice on a workaround would be immensely appreciated. Can Cocreate files be read into Creo Parametric and be fully parametric/intelligent models? Or do you have to pass through Creo Direct first?

MathCad 15I have been running some long Monte carlo Sims - each takes about 20mins, so I go an do something else while it is running.What I would like to be able to do is generate a sound when it has finished so I can extract the results and start it off on the next one.Can't see any way to do it - ideas anyone ??In the olden days when we used "Basic" a string with "ctrl G" would do it - such is progress....Ian

We are relatively new to Windchill...we have some Creo part files that we would like to save in our Windchill project. We have downloaded the Workgroup Manager on to our Computer per the "Windchill Practical Guide." It appeared to install...yet after logging off and logging back on, the "Windchill" Menu item does not appear after opening Creo. Are we missing something?

Hi there guys,I recently bought Creo Parametric 1.0 student edition and have had trouble using the software. The program will load up fine but when I click on a datum or say try to do a sketch or extrude the whole client will freeze and crash the ATI display driver ("ATI graphics driver has stopped working properly") and the driver will restart with the creo window being a blank window pane. I'm not sure whether this is a problem with Creo trying to use my graphics card or just a general problem with Creo. I did notice when looking with MSI afterburner that the GPU load on the first GPU went up to 100% while it was in progress of crashing but the second was basically idle. What I'm designing is a piston and piston rod with a simple crank...when defining the placement of the piston I have to "flip axis constraints" in order for the piston to sit on the piston rod correctly...Then when I explode the assembly the piston rotates 180 degrees..i.e. I am supposed to be looking at the face of the piston in exploded view but instead due to the rotation I am looking at the rear of the piston....I have tried to redefine the movement in view manager--edit postion with no luck...I can toggle to view a single piston in its unexploded state but when I attempt to drag it to its proper location in the exploded assembly mode the part flips 180 degrees...I'm at a loss, Please helpThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I created some models in creo elements direct express which I saved as stl files and would like to convert them to 2D drawings in Creo Parametric. Hi I need some help creatinga macro that will copy the contents of a cell and create an index tag with those contents. I have created one but it only works with 6 digit numbers and only can do one cell at a time. We have a mix of 4, 5 and 6 digit part numbers. What I would like to do is select the entire column, maybe 20 or entries and run this macro and have an index tag created for each one. I am using Mathcad 15 and was wondering if it was possible to mix text and scalar values in a matrix. In excel, you can write to a cell =A1 &" text" where A1 has a scalar value.For example I have a 3x3 matrix with arbritary scalar values. Would it be possible to append text to each item in the matrix?

I just left a live meeting (it went dead) on Prime 2. I attempted to convert a simple statics file to Prime 2. "2" could not handle "insert math mode", my footer notations did not transfer, I could not get the new footer notations I created to format correctly. I gave up. I have somewhere around 10000 Mathcad files, I do not have the time to go through this frustration each time I want to convert a file. If PTC wants people to convert to "2" they need a SEAMLESS converter which retains all features of the converted file.
