I have a sheet dealing with volumes of revolution. The specification for this part is thickness +/- 10% based on weight; so to find the tolerance on the thickness, I have to solve for how much the thickness is reduced when the weight is reduced 10%. Therefore, I first calculated the nominal volume. Now, I want to use a solve block to basically say, "find the thickness subject to the constraint that volume is reduced by 10%". But I can't get it to go. Also, why doesn't my plot show three nice, sharp lines? Each segment of the tube is defined by a line. I really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hi,Can I reconnect divided line (entity)?I divide a sketch during blend feature, but I found my divide wrong, so I need to reconnect the line which alrady was divided. When will 2012 KOP CAD Library be up? Got email that they are ready on www.ptc.com/go/firstkop but do not see them.Also any way to "dump" the entire library into each Team's Windchill Project?THXStu/Buzz

The discussion title sums up the question from our software team - has anyone tried this? I searched and found a thread where Windchill was used in industry for some type of software development, but the links are obsolete so I can't find out the details. It seems like Windchill would need to understand the connectivity between the different VI's in a LabView project the same way it keeps track of parts in an assembly in Creo in order for it to work correctly.

Help! I have a BOM table (one I created) which works fine except for the fact that the column I reserved for entering descriptive text, notes, etc. will only allow me to do that in the first row. HI everybody, i search a way to incorporate in my existing macro, syntax to lock layer. to prevent switching my frame (in Layer 181 Frames) into Standard Layer. I'm working on the shell portion of the quickstart block, but I can't seem to get this to work. I followed the video but after choosing all the bosses and then click end, then preview, I still see the same thing. Am I doing it wrong or is there a bug? Collab --In the attached worksheet, I am attempting to map uniform distribution onto a logistic function. While the logistic function appears smooth when plotted, it is imaginary for certain input values when inverted. In Mathcad, I can get around this by splining. However, this is not possible in my final application (I am using Mathcad for testing and debugging). My final application has no ability to handle imaginary numbers and simply throws an error when it encounters one. Furthermore, the only random numbers it generates are from a uniform distribution. Thus, the problem may be summarized as follows:1. Fit function to measured data2. Invert fitting function3. Require real output from #2 for all inputs [0,1]4. Map uniform distribution to #2 in target applicationThe problem here is step 3. I use ProE Wildfire at work so I'm new to Creo, and I'm not sure if this is specific to the student version or not. We downloaded the field files yesterday (thanks, they look great), and we were looking to calculate the mass and CG of the rotating part of the ramp. The densities all came across as default (1.0), so I was going to show the students how to input the density, assuming it was the same as ProE (edit>Setup>Mass Properties), but there is no Setup in the edit pulldown menu. When we run a mass properties analysis, it prompts for the densities so we could input them there, but it didn't appear to save the values as a parameter that I could find anywhere (it did seem to store the values somewhere in the files, however). Is there some straightforward way to change densities or read in material property files in Creo?Thanks.

Hi all,I need to make an automatically updating list box and I've provided an example worksheet to show how far along I am and where I would like to go. The biggest issue is that I just started learning VB today. I understand everything in the current script that I am using, which I got from a previous thread.Here's my wishlist:1. By default the listbox displays multiple options, but I would like to make it like a pulldown menu that shows a single option.2. Currently the cursor selection value is given as the output. Hi,I was a very satisfied mathcad user and now am very dissatisfied to the point that I may never use a PTC product again. The steps to do licensing was ridiculous, and to get things running on W7 has been atrocious. I went with Prime, thinking that it was the next step forward, and that with the Mathcad 15 conversion, all would be well. In some places it indicates that W7 HP is acceptable, but when I try to install M15 so that I can actually convert my files, it tells me that Im an XP user (no, I have W7), and that because XP SP 2 is the required OS, I cannot install Mathcad 15 on the computer. So now I need to pay $90 to upgrade to W7 pro so that I can operate legacy XP inside of the OS so that I can run what looks to be an extremely poorly implemented version of mathcad?I have a single user license and dont always have network access, so I need to use the locked node license. It appears to me that this means that I cannot install and run prime/15 on another (XP) computer to do my co

I have a piece of ducting drawn as below and would like to shell it with 1.5mm thick walls. I would usually use a sheetmetal part however as this is only a quick scheme. Either way the minimum allowed is 2mm, any value below this and the shell fails.   If I shorten the left hand section i.e. make the larger volume duct shorter then it will allow me to shell at 1.5mm.   Does anyone have a reason for this? I cant imagine that the programme calculates stress/strain etc live to prevent me from drawing too thin a wall at a long length.

Hello,We are interested in doing a bit of testing with Creo, prior to a division-wide update. If the license server is updated to allow Creo to run, will our older versions of Wildfire (i.e. 5.0) still be able to obtain a license? Or is the license configuration so different that this is not possible?Ken

Everytime I print, either to any of a number of printers, or to pdf I get little squares whereever equal signs, paranthesis or multiplication "dots" are. Is anyone aware of a fix for this? I've been trying off and on for a few days to resolve this.See the attachmentThanks

I find it quite annoying when Creo regenerates everything when most of the time there is no need. Is there a way to tell it to freeze up to a certain place in the model tree, so that only the later features get regenerated? I am using a matrix method for balancing a chemical equations. As a result, I get a vector x, which contains a set of non-integer numbers. Next, I need this vector is multiplied by a number Y, to obtain a set of integers. Total sum of these integers should be as small as possible.How do I calculate the number Y?
