When I open KEPServer it gives me an error that says "Connection attempt to runtime failed" in the event log. Then it times out and gives me a dialog box asking if I want to work offline. The latest project was not showing. I tried to open the project, but it had not been saved. So I tried to open an older project. It opened and I tried to connect the runtime and again it failed. I checked Task Manager and the runtime is running.  I updated the license an hour ago. I got a "Success" dialog box. Does anyone know what is going on and how I overcome this problem? Thank you, Scott

Hi, wondering if there is a way to pass a button click in a collection widget cell mashup to the collection widget refresh.   I have a list of items displayed in a collection widget. There is a 'delete item' button in each item's cell mashup. I'm looking for a way to pass the click event on the button back to the collection widget itself so that it can redraw itself with the new list (minus the deleted item).   Currently I manage this by having the delete button set a boolean session parameter to true. In the main mashup I have a timer running (every second) which checks the state of the boolean & if true redraws the collection widget (list). It works, but seems clunky, so would prefer a way to pass the button click in the cell back to the collection widget without having to use a timer. I did try tying a validator to the session parameter, but it didn't appear to trigger when the session boolean changed.   TIA K

HelloI am trying to model a simple CFD with heat transfer.The model contains a solid body with internal flow channel and two holes for inlet and outlet.The flow channel was created in solid part by revolving a sketch and removing material, then I added holes on surface to interface with that channel.When I create fluid domain, I select the surface containing the inlet and outlet holes. The created fluid body looks fine. However, when I try to define boundary conditions for inlet and outlet, I am unable to select each surface individually. Both inlet and outlet get highlighted together as I try to select either one to define flow.  Has anyone encountered similar problem? thanks for your advise in advance.Also another question is what is 'caps' option and what is seed surface when creating fluid domain, Do I need to define a seed surface?thanks

Looking for a better understanding of the error we encountered in Kepware: "<DEVICE> | The following errors occurred uploading controller project from device. Resorting to symbolic protocol." We had an issue in our plant where connectivity between Kepware and several Allen-Bradley PLCs were dropping out intermittently due to a networking issue.  Approximately 3 minutes after this event started, we saw the above error message posted for all PLC's involved.  While the message states the "following errors occurred" we never saw an actual message with details.  Just the line above.   For context, all PLC's involved were originally setup with Logical Non-Blocking addressing.  Kepware changing/resorting to using Symbolic addressing appears to have overwhelmed a combination of the PLC, network and driver.  We were unable to recover until we restarted the Kepware server. We've seen Kepware make the switch to Symbolic addressing when

I am working in Creo 10 and having trouble editing line style widths on quilted components and imported features in assemblies. As it is, when I print my drawings, these features come out much too bold. I was hoping this could be corrected in my drawing options, but I have not found anything that helped. Someone suggested I try to use the Data Doctor tool but the many unfamiliar options in it forced me to step back until I can better understand. I am open to any suggestions that might help.

Hello All,   I am trying to read the count of object returned by WRS in ThingWorx/Navigate service. The count information is captured by "@odata.count" key in the WRS response.    Windchill Response:    From ThingWorx service, if I use dot (.) to read json key values. Hello together, we worked with ECTR from SAP for many years. It was possible to reload a drawing from SAP via a mapkey if the 3D model or assembly was open in Creo. Of course, I am now wondering whether this is also possible in Windchill: I would like to reload a drawing from the common space via a mapkey from a 3D model or assembly opened in Creo, if the drawing is not yet in the local workspace, but a corresponding drawing is in the common space. Shouldn't be that difficult. However, I have noticed that mapkeys can only be recorded within Creo. Mapkeys do not work within the embedded Windchill interface. But maybe we could realise this with a script?
