Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: I want to import a part structure. I have done 'export importable' to get a sample for the format. Description: In the BOM sheet it shows a component-id for each child part. They look like this: a0726e2b-01a9-45b-8fe-cef2b59cc598 How can I create component-id's in preparation for import? The parts do not exist yet.   For pre-existing parts I see that the PartUsage table contains component-id's.

I am looking to do the following calc but I am getting frustrated with applying the correct units. I want the result to be in "pounds per gallon i.e. ppg or lb/gal".  Pressure is in psi, Depth is in ft, and the 0.052 is a conversion factor derived from converting the following:1 gallon = 231 cubic inches1 foot = 12 inches12/231 = 0.052 however i am finding it difficult to substitute the conversions into the formula. HELP!

good morningI have a problem in my Creo version 7when I create sections in the presence of imported objects the sections show lines that should not appearI need to work with objects imported from Step and Iges of a fair amount of complexity. Therefore I cannot fix the errors and I let broken solids and surfaces be created.In the images that I post below the view from 3d is shown in "no hidden" view and the section of the 2d model, as you can see the section shows the objects as if they were in "wireframe" view In the definition of the "view display" view it is marked "no Hidden" and it is actually like this for all the solids of the drawing that I created, but not for the imported objectsIn the definition of the "section" view by selecting model edge visibility>area the section correctly shows only the sectioned volumes I definitely need to solve this problem because in some sections it is not possible for me to work correct view in 3d section bad view in 2d sect

Is there a way to see the material definition for a step file in Creo View?In Creo 10, I am able to select the option for "Material Definition" when I create the step file. However, after exporting the step file and opening it in Creo View, I don't see any way to view the materials I had original defined in Creo 10

Recently installed Creo 11/10/8 on my new laptop (Dell XPS 13). I am probably missing something quite simple - I can't figure out a way to search within a certain folder and the subfolders in WC. In other words, if I have the WC context with the following structure: Product1 Context - Folder 1 - Folder 2  --- Subfolder A  --- Subfolder B - Folder 3 I want to run a search in Folder 2 and include files in Subfolers A and B in search results. It seems that searching in folders has been added in WC 10. The logs show this message:  wt.org.electronicIdentity.SignatureInvalidException: Password for signature is invalid. Checking my logs, I am seeing a handful of users experiencing this but one also states that sometimes its working and I am not seeing a widespread issue. Only really change has been new laptop deployments with Windows 11 roll out. If it is a problematic special character, it would make sense that only some users see it and we can advise to avoid that. Strange since passwords MUST include special characters so we just need to know what to avoid if that is truly the issue.

I have loaded Creo 9.0 K12 Student edition on our computers at school and I ran across something later on that mentioned config file that should be used for the How To Model Almost Anything curriculum.  Where can I get that config file so the software loads like the curriculum is expecting?
