Am I correct in saying that the only difference between setting an attribute's visibility to "Value Hidden" and "Read Only" from within "Type and Attribute Management" is that the "Value Hidden" setting sets the display of the attribute value to "(Hidden)" and the "Read Only" setting sets it to "(Unassignable)" in the form for the operation the settings were applied to?

Hi, I use creo 11.0 edition. When I want to select plane nothing happens 

Running CREO 8.0I have a section view with 2 components not showing up in view. They are there but will not appear.I have tried excluding and including back and forth in VM States tab. I even cleared out my workspace and did the work all over again it was only a (5 minutes task).. I also created the view state all over again. and nothing.See screenshot of bodies in green that will not appear.I did notice in modelling that when I try to add the parts to the section they will not select but other parts will.  

My AutoCAD human resource is taking 50hrs to trace the outline of something vehicle as seen in attached file. Our client has tons of vehicle images to be converted to .drg, bypassing 3D model. I was wondering if someone has a software that can convert image to as if drawn by a engineering drafting pen. .2mm / .4mm / 1mm sharpie. Thanks for all your brainstorming. This may save us a tons. Finally upgraded from Creo 9 to Creo 12 and it started completely locking up the system when adding a countersink to a hole feature.  Contacted tech support and they said the Dell 7760 is not supported by Creo 12! This is crazy!  So now I am supposed to go and buy new laptops for the entire engineering and design team?? Looks like I either find another 3D system or I am stuck with Creo 9.  I didn't upgrade to Creo 11 because they moved the mapkeys out of the config.pro to a separate file that is located on the local client.  This made the CAD much more difficult because one way to standardize and control process is by using mapkeys that were loaded of the server at the start point. Not happy with PTC...

I feel like Creo is slowing us down when opening an assembly, particularly large ones, because it is "Doing preliminary Mass props calculations" on every part it opens.  I'd rather do that manually and save time opening the models.  Any ideas?  Creo 10.0.5.0, WC 13

I have an identification table (1 row) that I insert into a drawing and it contains &ID1:D.When I insert the table I get flagged with the 'ADD PARAM' menu. From here I select string, type my new value, and &ID1 gets added as a parameter in my drawing.I would like to be able to add a 2nd ID table that gets bumped to &ID2:D, so that on every table insert I get an additional parameter created in my drawing. These id's can range to well over 100. So simply creating (2) different tables, one with ID1 and one with ID2, will not solve my problem. Is this even possible? Thanks for your help!

I've found instructions to toggle a custom layer that include writing two .pro configs, then referencing those in the mapkey, but those instructions are from around 2012, and I'm wondering if there is a more straightforward way to toggle a custom layer with a single mapkey. I've currently got a mapkey that hides a custom layer, "CURVES", with the following code: mapkey z ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `PHTLeft.PHLayerUI.AssyTree` 1 \mapkey(continued) `node0:CURVES`;\mapkey(continued) ~ RButtonArm `main_dlg_cur` `PHTLeft.PHLayerUI.AssyTree` `node0:CURVES`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdViewHide` ;\mapkey(continued) ~ PopupOver `main_dlg_cur` `LayerActionMenu` 1 `PHTLeft.PHLayerUI.AssyTree`; Is it possible to modify this to allow for toggling? Currently using Creo 11.0.4.0

Why objects which is regenerated in creo changes it's state from to after regeneration. Object is read only why has it been chagned during regeneration?

When I ask the triangulator to create tristrips for me, they are coming back with the normals pointing inwards. Is it up to me to reverse the tristrips and normals? Cory

Helloin the attached sheet there is a problem of mechanics of a damped systemUnfortunately I couldn't use odesolve, so I tried RKfixed, but again I got an error message from Mathcad. So I did a manual RK4😅Could someone help me use the Prime RKfixed? it would be more elegant than what I did😂and also to stop the loop when "v" (speed)  becomes negative,after that continuing the iterations no longer makes physical sense, at least when x<0. Since at that point the load has passed through the damper   also, all attempts I made with the units failed Differential equations are not easy for me😂

I am working on a computed field in Codebeamer and need to fetch the item ID from the Default Working Set using a formula.I have tried a few approaches (like this.id, this.globalId, and filtering workingSets()), but they are not returning the expected result. My goal is specifically to retrieve the item ID that corresponds to the Default Working Set.Could you please share the correct formula or suggest the right way to achieve this?Thanks in advance for your support.

I'm testing the CCD on a dev server with updates to document templates, workflows, enumerations, attributes, and types. The first error I receive is BAC_DOCTEMPLATE_WITH_SAME_NUMBER_EXISTS. The BAC default conflict resolution is OVERWRITE and the service.properties file was changed to use the BACConflictResolver for BAC_DOCTEMPLATE_WITH_SAME_NUMBER_EXISTS. However, we still receive the conflict error. If I remove all the document templates from the BAC, I then receive ENUM_DEF_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS, ORGANIZER_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS, BAC_TABLE_VIEW_EXISTS, TYPE_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS, and WORKFLOW_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS errors. Within the UI, overwrite isn't an option in the event monitor for conflict resolution.
