Hi We have a number of old perpetual Windchill light & heavy licenses in out bunldle but they are expired in 2009. When you now want to use these licenses do you need to pay the maintenance fee for the years 2009->2021 ? Just want some confirmation on that point. Regards Bernard

I want to achieve a custom(or inbuilt) queue processor. The objective is to have a admin user who has Write permissions to write to a stream. Other non-admin users can queue write operations which later get processed by the admin user. I tried the same using event subscription and scheduler but the security context is passed on to the final service call and as the final service doesn't have the permissions set for the non-admin users, they are not able to execute. I hope my understanding of using the internal event queue is correct. Is there a way to use the event subscription queue be processed by a specific admin user? What would be the best way to implement and manage a queue using a single admin user who performs the write operations? Is there any option that the platform supports already?   Note: For custom queue implementation concurrency, synchronization could be potential issues.

Hello,   I have this scenario wherein I have to configure the Thingworx Directory Service  settings programmatically.   So, when a user specifies a setting from the UI, I need to update it into the respective configuration table on the Directory service. However, I need to call these services from inside another thing.   When I invoked the services from another thing, all services from my Directory Service entity errored out with -  Error executing service <serviceName>. Message :: ReferenceError: "DirectoryServices" is not defined.    For example even the GetConfigurationTables services gives an error -   // result: INFOTABLE dataShape: "EntityList"var result = DirectoryServices["Test.ActiveDirectory"].GetConfigurationTables();   Is this the default working for directory services in Thingworx or is there anything I am missing ?   Any help is highly appreciated. Sorry new Windchill user here. I am trying to understand how Windchill works and have a question on Cancelled revisions.   It is easiest for me to use an example to explain. Say I have a drawing B.5 status "Released"I revise it and the system generates the next revision C.1 with status "In Work"This drawing is worked on through various iterations to C.7 with status" In Work" Version B.5 status is still released. At this point this revision "C" is cancelled / postoned / abandoned for whatever reason. I know that I could delete revision "C" but there may be some useful work done in version "C.*" and it would be useful to retain these drawings.   So is there a way / status to keep the drawing but when another change is planned for drawing B.5 the revise function can be done and starts with revision D.1?Is there a status I could set C.7? Like Cancelled or Abandoned?   Many ThanksIan

Is there a list of "non-Creo CAD" versions compatible with Windchill?   i.e. which AutoCAD versions are supported?  Do you stay up to date?   Users are complaining that Windchill can't maintain links with connected Revit files.  This is defeating our efforts to move everyone into a proper PLM system.  Has this been resolved?

Hi,   I want to import a dxf_file with 8400 holes in it and extrude the curves. I clicked on File->Open-> (dxf-file) -> then I selected "part" ->open   The dxf-file is imported as a curves. I tried to project the curves to a new sketch, but its not a lot of fun to select 8400 curves one by one in the project-command.     Does anybody have a solution ?   Thanks, Maik

Hello,   I am trying to import our company logo into my sketch so that I can save it and reuse it or make a part (.prt) out of it. I have an .ai (adobe illustrator, not sure which version) and a .dxf which so far led to better results.   I read that there are ways to import an .dxf as an drawing base or whatever you choose in the software but I need it for an sketch.    What I´ve tried so far: import the .ai file (where I couldn´t see anything) - I can choose the file but can´t see the curves / lines / contours in Creo 6. After that I got an .dxf file which I imported in two ways: - in a sketch via "file system" - retrieving data which brought me the lines which I also can select but not make any profile out of it or use it for anything.   We live in 2020 - this can´t be that hard to use a simple three spelled logo...please help.  

Since Creo 5, I cant automate the export funtion anymore with a mapkey because I always want to export only solid models without surfaces. But in Creo 5, when exporting to STEP, you cant automatically have surfaces de-selected (it only works in one session). Does anyone have a proper mapkey compatible with Creo5 that tackles this?

I am exporting a flat sheetmetal view 1:1 to dxf to send to manufacturing.    Our manufacturing program is set up for certain geometry to be on certain layers.  I am using dxf_export.pro to map layers, with reasonable success. This file allows you to map a creo_layer to a layer in the dxf file that you define, typically a number in this case.   Issue is that creo allows a single feature to exist on two layers at the same time.  The mapping file maps these two layers to two different numbers.   Which will it export to?   In my experience I am only getting them to export to one of the layers.  I have tried reordering the lines mapping file and it had no effect.  Has anyone dealt with this and figured out how to definitively control it?     Why a feature to two different layers?-  The geometry in question is a cosmetic.  We use cosmetics on sheetmetal forms, the cosmetic is a simple shape, the mfg software rec

Hi is there a way to break multiple overlapping witness lines simultaneous. Every time i have multiple dimensions from the same base crossing a witness line i have to spend forever right-clicking to break all the lines. Is there any way around this problem?

I'm using a collection widget and have a thing with a InfoTable property which holds different fields to be used in a mashup. Some of these fields have as datatype InfoTable, but when I connect with the collection widget and with getproperty the InfoTable fields doesn't seem to work.All other numeric and string fields work normally, updating dinamically. Only the InfoTable ones seem to have a problem. Is there a way to use InfoTable as parameter into a collection widget? I followed this guide to make it work: https://developer.thingworx.com/resources/guides/collection-widget-how-to screenshots of both my thing with infotable property and mashup with the collection: As you can see the grid does not show the inftable values.

Hello everybody!   I have the following interaction scheme:     According to this logic, whenever the value of U in expression becomes greater or less than a certain number, the image becomes either visible or invisible. But it's happening only if I refresh the mashup by clicking "Reload".   I need to do the same using the Autorefresh widget by checking the "AutoRefresh" for real-time updating. Having linked it to the service responsible for changing the U value, which is then passed to the expression, I see that in the grid, after the set interval of autorefreshing, the U value is changing - and the image becomes visible along with it.   But, when the value of U becomes less than the border value and the image should disappear, it doesn't happen. The image keeps hanging until I click "Reload" in the mashup. If I binding the Autorefresh widget to the mashup Refresh-event it's not helping too.

Hello,   like you can see in the picture below the chart widget is connection the dots wrong. It seems like it does not recognize the order by datetime/timestamp.  When i update the chart sometimes its correct and then its wrong again. I am creating the data through a selfwritten service. Hello Guys!   I want to analyse my circuit, using laplace transformation.   Step 1) First I have to generate a triangle waveform. I have all informations given like peak-value, duty cycles, frequency, and so on. I keep the solution from Werner I guess if the following Step 2) will work...   Another approach would be a fourier row to obtain the triangle shape.
