Hi All, I am building a compression spring generic model, which I would like to have multiple materials available for selection. For example. Music wire ( ASTM A227), Stainless 302 ( ASTM A313) etc. In each of the materials available I have a user defined parameter "shear modulus" in each of the materials. In the spring model I have a relation which calculates the spring rate from the shear modulus of the material.   Example :  RATE= SHEAR_MODULUS:MTRL_570*(WIRE_DIA^4) / (8*AC*(OUT_DIA-WIRE_DIA)^3)   MTRL_570 is the current assigned material ( music wire), If I switch the assigned material to Stainless 302, how do I get the relation to update to the new material ID ( MTRL_407). If I leave the material ID out of the relation I cannot get the Shear modulus value.   Any suggestions on how to have the spring rate calculated from the assigned material would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

I have an excel file that contains material property data.  I have several sheets in the file; Aluminum, Titanium, Steel etc.   Each sheet contains data for several alloys, one for each row.   In Mathcad Prime 7, I would like to be able to select a material of choice.  I thought of having a combi box that selected what type (Aluminum, Steel etc), then a 2nd combi box that would show a list of materials based on the type and allow the user to select the material from that list.  Once the user selects, I would like to load the material property data for that specific material.  It is important that once the Mathcad file is saved and closed that it retains the selections that were in the combi box.   Is this possible?  Maybe there is a better way...

I am not able to add the Hyperlink or URL  in the WiKi  text area  in the Thingworx Navigate which can navigate me to the another page or can navigate to the other child wiki.

I do not use symbolic evaluation very often so I am sure I am doing something wrong.  The following expression should equal mu_0 . Why do I keep getting the same thing back? Do I need a different keyword (I tried several)  or a modifier?

Hi ,   Need to use SCM 1.0.1 for CSDK C SDK 2.2.8 and 2.2.9 as per link . But  SCM version 1.0.1 is not found in https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/product.jsp?prodFamily=TWS . ( SCM-Extension-1-0-0-872 (2 MB) is available)   Please help me with the download link for SCM version 1.0.1 for CSDK.    Thank you !!

In ThingWorx 9.1 I have a Dropdown widget with MultSelect enabled.  When I view the mashup and select the Dropdown, the "Select All" text at the top is yellow, hard to see with a white background.  I want to change the color of that text but I can't find a style that changes it.  I expect I need to use a CSS ID, but I never have much luck finding those.  Any ideas?

Hi Members,   I am currently playing around trying to learn CREO, I have done a little bit of inventor in the past. Although quite similar there are obviously some differences, I'm sure you experienced lot will be able to point me in the right direction.   The problem I'm having is when I create a sheet metal flange via sketch (please see attached example), it automatically miters but leaves the deformed area intersecting. Obviously this will create problems when manufactured.    Is there any way to automatically cut this excess material out via the sheet metal tools as opposed to manually creating a sketch and 'cutting' material away with the cut/extrude feature?   Thanks Heaps!!!

Hi All   I am running a Data simulator in Node red. The simulated data is in JSON format and is being generated every 10 mins. This data is being sent to ThingWorx platform via MQTT. However, the data transfer is manual at present, once the MQTT thing is refreshed only then the property(JSON basetype) is updated with the most recent payload. I would like to automate this process - as soon as data is generated in Node Red the property should also be updated with it. Request you all to help me on the probable steps to accomplish this?   Regards Ketan

Hi All,   Can anyone tell me, what happens when we import data multiple times?As I'm using Postgresql as default Persistence provider and influxDB for streams and valuestreams. What happens when I import complete data from one environment to the other, Will it replace the data available or creates duplicate  entries?   Thanks in advance. Bhavya

Hi Folks, I have multiple widget extensions to import and instead of doing multiple imports for all of them, I am looking to import them in a single shot. Is there a way to bundle them as a single extension? heard of creating a metadata file for all extensions but don't know a way to achieve it. TIA.

  I'm working on a anomaly detection dataset for which I don't have labels for the target class, hence it is an unsupervised machine learning problem. As I understand it, the anomaly detection module  is univariate, is there another available tool in ThingWorx to approach this kind of problems? such as isolation forest or autoencoders?

I have an array, and I need to create another array, and calculate the successive average of the numbers as I move along the first array. For instance, the average of 1st & 2nd, then the average of 1st,2nd, and 3rd, etc. till end of the array   Below some more explanation, including my attempt, but I could not reach what I am looking for. Does anyone have experience exporting user selected quilt(s) to a step file? The workarounds I am aware of are rather cumbersome and I am looking for a streamlined method to use. Ideally I would like to be able to a select a quilt when exporting and have it sent as a quilt through the STEP interface.   The current documentation on the interface is severely lacking and has not been very helpful.   Assume the model has both solid a quilt geometry present.   The workarounds I have worked out to date: 1) Create two layers to isolate (via rules) solid geometry and quilts to prevent the solid geometry from exporting with the "As is" option in the STEP interface 2) Export quilts and solids as is and then use IDD to delete the solid geometry to leave the quilt behind when importing the STEP file 3) Export user selected quilt only as surfaces and stitch it together after import   #3 would work if the export was a quilt instead of individual surfaces.   Has anyone found

Hi everyone, When I want to put a variable in an Excel-file, but with non standard units, for example mm instead of meters, I simply divide it in the input field (see example).  But what about a temperature? I have tried different ways but without success. It always comes out as Kelvin.  I would like Celsius °C.   Basically the question is: how do I "adimensionalize" a temperature, that is reduce the value of temperature to a simple number, without units?   Thanks a lot in advance Best regards Claudio

Hi, Anyone know what setting might need to be changed to allow the Windchill Workgroup Manager interface for Solidworks to create a drawing for a part or assembly file under the same part number? We are receiving the following error message that the drawing is not unique. Funny thing is if I rename the Solidworks part file in the workspace to a different file name and then rename it back to the original file name. The drawing is then allowed to be created with the same part number as the part file. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help you can provide, Don A
