Hello, I have an assembly with a number of flip platforms. I have created them with pin connections and am using mechanism analyses to drive the assy into different configurations using servo motors on the pins. This works well as long as I am careful with the constraints so I don't lock up one or more of the connections. These flip platforms also have guard rails and ladders that need to be installed or stored depending on the configuration. My current method is: Run the mechanism analysis for the desired configuration. Edit definition on all of the different guard rails and ladders and enable and disable the appropriate constraints. Update the snapshot of the individual configuration. My model has grown more complex and step 2 is becoming quite tedious. I loathe family table assemblies and they are forbidden here as well, so I will not/ cannot use them. Is there something I can use in Mechanism, to switch between them?  I have tried using Rigid connections and was then hoping

Hello,    I had already read and tried the thread " Trouble when trying to connect OPC Aggregator to ThingWorx Composer" before writing.  in the OPC aggregator, I had configured HOST: 127.0.0.1 Port: 80 /Thingworx/WS application key from thingworx expiry in 2020-10-21.   I did a testing, if I am using the OPC client from the aggregator and the communication is ok, I can read/write the value of the device.    When I do a discover in the Industrial connection, I am able to see the tags from the device, and able to bind the tags from the devices to the thing.    BUT, the connection seems to be down always, and when I check the log. it show unable to establish callback for device in the OPC aggregator.    At the Thingworx, the Thing show "connected" but the bind data is showing "?".   I am not sure where is I should check now, can anyone give me any hint, I will go try it out.   Thank you in advance.   Newbie kek ps: let me k

Hello,   In the few Thingworx Custom CSS tutorials/how-tos that I can find they all mention selectors such as, ".widget-button", ".button-element", "widget-button-text" etc. Clearly these selectors are not extensive enough to cover things such as an advanced grid's rows, or columns for example. Is there some resource out there that lists all of these selectors? How do I select an advanced grid's first column header?    I am well aware that you can copy an element's selector through developer tools on google chrome. This is not good enough as these selector's values may change over time.

It seems that I cannot get around the requirement to "have the Microsoft Universal C Runtime in Windows installed on the ... network computer where [I] want to install Creo software."  As quoted from page 13 of the "Preparing to Install Your PTC Software" document.  Unfortunately that is a significant change for me from Creo 2 & Creo 3.   With Creo 2 & 3, I was able to take a local installation, copy it to a (server) shared network location, and simply modify the PSF file(s) to make Creo 2 & 3 available to a large number of people.   With the introduction of the CREO_AGENT_LDP_LIST and the genlwsc.exe process with Creo 4, I can't get Creo 4 creoagent.exe to properly initialize (since genlwsc.exe won't start).  I believe this must be due to the prerequisite to have Universal C Runtime installed on the "network computer where [I] want to install Creo software."  Now I need either server admin privileges to install the C Runtime on the s

Hi, When we import some STEP data from suppliers, we often get floating 3D annotations showing on the assemblies. However, they do not show on the model tree as an annotation, they do not show in the annotations when the annotations tab is selected in the ribbon and we cannot select them in the graphics window.    How do we hide / remove them? 

hi,   I have requirement to add the data series dynamically based my sql query. For example, i have data for shifts as A,B,C......n , and I want to display a bar graph for this NumberOfSeries. See the below screenshot, In this I have NumberOfSeries=3 which is fixed (A,B,C shifts data is displayed). But my shifts are not fixed ,they may A,B,C....n . So depending on the input series must vary.    Is there any way of doing this?     Thanks, sheetal

Hi,   I was able to update existing DataTable entries through Home Mashup tab without using services in Thingworx 8.2.5. Unable to do same in Thingworx 8.5 version. Where is the option to update and filter data table entries without using the services. Could you help me on that?. when I write services behind current datatable, I need to get number of rows of this datatable. this is my code I used:  var result = me.getRowCount(); the output should be integer.   but after I run this code, here is output error says: cannnot find functon getRowCount in object com.thingworx.datatables.   how to fix this problem?

We have two very similar DTDs.  Both DTDs have the exact same graphic definition. Graphics for both DTDs are using the same exact folder structure. SGML files for both DTDs are pointing to graphics in the same exact manner. However, graphics are behaving very differently. For DTD-A, ArborText Publishing Engine will use local graphics when creating the PDF.  For DTD-B, ArborText Publishing Engine will not use local graphics when creating the PDF. Am I missing a setting someplace?   EDIT: Both DTDs are using the same exact style sheet (the DTDs are that similar that one style sheet works for both of them).  

Okay, this is driving me crazy.I have a part, and I've made datum planes on various surfaces of the part so that they show up in the drawing. I do NOT want them to show up in the model. I have added them to a layer and hidden the layer but the planes still wont disappear in the model. If I hide the planes directly in the model tree by using right click, the datums disappear in the drawing.Please help me fix this problem! I've had mutliple people look at it and I'm about to give up and "fake" datums in the drawing instead of having them in the model. Like I said - they are in a layer that has been hidden but they wont go away!I appreciate the help!

Hi, Is it safe or good to move directly from ThingWorx 7.3 and Navigate 1.5 to ThingWorx and Navigate 8. Even is it possible as after upgrading I have to import the data and exported entities of Thingworx 7.3 to ThingWorx 8.5? Thanks and regards, Aditya

Hello,   I started to develop some Java-Extensions to solve some issues, that we where not able to solve with pure javascript. For some of these functional modules it would be interesting to have them as ThingShape to enable reuse on different Things. The Eclipse-Plugin allows me to add a ConfigurationTable to the ThingShape and everything compiles properly. Hi! The scroll button on my mouse is quite hard and after a few hours of work my middle finger hurts a lot. I wish to move the rotate function from the scroll button to the 4th button on my mouse ( it is a gaming mouse with the 4th button under my thumb). Any idea on how to change it? thx
