Hi, I would like to talk to you about Vuforia Studio.   The strength of Vuforia Studio is that I can make ARs quickly and easily.In addition, you can connect to the IoT platform Thingworx to realize digital data as AR.   However, Vuforia Studio seems to need a lot more to create a powerful AR. Advanced knowledge of creo illustrations, advanced knowledge of JS ...And I know that connecting to Thingworx from other servers is not supported. If Thingworx is already built and used, it should be migrated to Vuforia Studio's Thingworx server, which can be inconvenient.   Vuforia Studio can make ARs easily and quickly, but I do not think there are any marketing, advertising, or other strengths other than fun.   Could you tell me some of the strengths that other Vuforia Studio users think?I use the trial version of Vuforia Studio, so the strength of Vuforia Studio may not reach me.   Thank you. Hello, I defined the status table and one alert basing the same asset property, e.g. status. It happens that the alert is immediately triggered as soon the status property value changes, while the status  changes after some seconds (about 30 seconds). Then for some seconds the Asset Advisor monitor shows the Asset still 'Running' (should be 'Planned Downtime') while the Alert is active. Is this behavior correct? Many thanks Martina

Hi all,   I am having difficult for show the google maps in my mashup.   Happen the following error: "Oops! Something went wrong. This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details." I even created my API Key and paste in my "Required string to connect with Google for Google widgets" but this did not work. Thanks,Leonardo

Any help will be really appreciated.   Say x=2, y=3   if z=4 x=x and y=y else  x=y and y=x   I tried defining a third variable. But was not able to do it inside if statement.   Thanks

Hi everyone,I'm seeing an issue where conrefs are not resolving at publish time on bursted content. They do resolve in RDStyle in Editor.I can reproduce when publishing representations from Windchill and publishing from Styler. If the files are on my local, they work just fine. When they are bursted to Windchill, the conrefs cannot resolve.I'm using 6.1 M050, WC 10.2 M030. Anyone else experiencing this?I saw that SPR2256329 addresses a conref resolve issue in M060. Does it pertain to this issue?Thanks,-Jeff

Hello! I am trying to create a model of a reducing elbow (4 to 3). I have the straight ends of the elbow and I was hoping I could loft between the parts.  I followed the instructions per the PTC help, but when I try to create Matchlines, I get an error that says "The profile must be closed." So I can only assume that I am picking the wrong vertex? I cannot attach the pkg file I am working with, but I can send it to someone that thinks they can help. Can someone please help me? Maybe lofting is not the way to go, but it was the only method that I thought made sense! Thanks!

While in wireframe view, editing a hole and trying to rotate the model, creo creates an Windows 3.1 mystify screensaver feel. Zooming in and out will fix the issue. Does anyone know how to prevent this? Editing a hole feature while in wireframe and moving the model.

While inserting the UDF for FORM feature created by the punch, I am getting a warning message as   Some relations from the UDF set were not added to the current model due to unit sensitivity conflict. Toggle the unit sensitivity in the relation dialog to allow addition of such relations.   After getting warning message it ask me to select reference for UDF placement, but I already used ProUdfreferenceAlloc() ProUdfdataReferenceAdd() for the reference of the part. I don't know why it asking me to select the reference in the part for inserting the UDF. Anybody know how to fix this issue

Hello. I'm trying to only Auth by Active Directory, but service start by WindchillDS. I want below process. If AD user(by AD join Computer) try to access Windchill, authentication occur(SSO) then same ID in WindchillDS Ldap can start service.    and user in not AD have to enter Windchill Ldap account for can start service. Because there is not all member in Active Directory. AD and WindchillDS both can authentication but using service is only WindchillDS Ldap user. AD user have same ID in WindchillDS. I have a use case where, rather than displaying a model in tracked AR, I would like to display it in the 2D view where a user could interact with it by playing through a sequence and rotating the model.  I am aware other software could do this, but I would like it embedded in a vuforia studio experience without having to navigate elsewhere.   For reference, this would be very similar to the <model-viewer> component that google has output without the need for converting it to AR. https://googlewebcomponents.github.io/model-viewer/  

We're trying to pull process plans from windchill into the operator advisor data model. We configured the necessary things and calling "getprocessplans" on the PTC.SCA.SCO.DefaultMPMLinkODataConnector works. When trying to run the service ConvertFromProcessPlanId and pasting in a processplanid I got from the getprocessplans service however I get the error:   Error executing service ConvertFromProcessPlanId. Message :: TypeError: Cannot find function GetDescribedByDocumentsByOperationID in object com.thingworx.connectors.http.odata.ODataConnector@1867baa3. - See Script Error Log for more details.   When looking in the ODataConnector the service doesn't exist as the error states. When trying to add a route to the service the service isn't found either.   I tried adding namespaces like "Factory" and found some other rest services related to documents but not the one I need.   Does anybody have an idea what we did wrong and why the GetDescribedByDocumentsByOperationID&n

Hi.   Is there some already progress in supporting other CAD-formats in Vuforia Studio? I found a discussion from 2017 where this was promised in future releases. For example a integration of CATIA-Composer file support would be very handy, because we already got several reduced and animated models within this format. Another way would be using the Vuforia engine with Unity in some way, but that would be very inconvenient.

Hi there,   I would like to get data from a PLC to an AR Application. To realize this I try to get the Data form the PLC to ThingWorx Industiral Connectivety. Then the Data has to be send form ThingWorx Industrial Connectivety to the ThingWorx Composer to connect to Vuforia Studio, right? How can I connect Data from ThingWorx Industrial Connectivety to ThingWorx Composer?   Thanks for help.

Hello,   i would like to create like a countdown timer in thingworx. that would count from 180 seconds to 0 basically and to have this binded in a mashup.   do you think something like this is possible? if so i would need some help.   i was thinking about creating a function that counts only once and appeal it in a for loop or something like this and save the current seconds in properties.

Hi all,I'm curious as to what the consensus is on dual dimensioning, when the drawing references ASME Y14.5M-1994.  I can't find any language in the standard that is specific to allowing or not allowing dual dimensioning.  Sections 1.4c and 1.4d both seem to say as much without actually stating that it is not to be used."( c) Each necessary dimension of an end productshall be shown. No more dimensions than those necessaryfor complete definition shall be given. Theuse of reference dimensions on a drawing should beminimized.(d) Dimensions shall be selected and arranged tosuit the function and mating relationship of a part andshall not be subject to more than one interpretation."It seems that a drawing listing dual dimensions would require a general note, stating that one of the units of measurement is for reference only. hi, i have recently completed my AR fundamental course, i just wanted to know that how can we experience our AR apps without vuforia view, like cant we create our seperate app which can be used to view AR?

I am trying to define a piecewise function in Mathcad to move around singularities, but the program breaks down at the singularities even when they are not called. I created a program that evaluates one function if "w" is greater than or equal to "r", and another function if "w" is less than "r". The second function has a singularity if "w" is equal to "r" but theoretically it shouldn't need to evaluate that function in that case, as "w" isn't less than "r". The program still returns an error in that case though. Is there a way to set up the program such that MathCad will not try to evaluate the term in the false if statement   Example: function = if w >= r                     pi/2                 if w < r                     atan(1/(w-r))      

Hello,   I am a new user to Creo Parametric having come from inventor. Inventor used a function called pack and go which took and assembly and all its referenced parts and documents and saved them to a new location, it maintained all links.   Is there a similar function in Creo 4.0/5.0?   Thanks, Sean
