I'm working on an assembly that must meet the requirements of ANSI/AIAA S-120A for tracking total system weight including contingency factors based on the part type and design maturity. For example, if we have just a standard structural piece of aluminum that Creo estimates to be 1.0 lbm, we need to tack on a contingency factor of 8%. So the part's nominal mass would be 1.0 lbm and it's max mass would be 1.08 lbm. I've been able to account for this so far using a "CONTINGENCY_FACTOR" parameter in my parts and a relation defining "MASS_MAX" as MASS_MAX = PRO_MP_MASS * (1 + CONTINGENCY_FACTOR) .So far so good.   My problem comes in at the assembly level. How can I add up all of the MASS_MAX values from all of the parts in an assembly for use in (ideally) both the model tree and the mass properties report?

I for an example i am analysing an assembly of three parts. as here in the picture.   Is it possible to observe or see on one part separately in the result window?   For example, if i want to see only bolt and other parts should be hidden.2 flange with bolt

It's been months since I received the last recommendation from PTC support (as you can see from the attached images).   For example, in 2017 I received a total of 30 recommendations for my three Windchill servers (Production, Test and Development), while in 2018 I received only 1 recommendation.   For Creo I received 4 recommendations last year (sessions data sent were for Creo 2.0) and none in 2018 (from this month we switched to Creo 4.0).   Has any other user noticed the same thing?   There is some PTC product manager @wsaad or @SteveShaw that can comment what I just wrote?   Thanks

Hello Guys,   I made some animations with Creo Illustrate 5.0 and also used some Callouts to show some important parts. Same Thing just without Callout in Vuforia Studio However, when I was finished, I uploaded in Vuforia Studio and designed a simple User Interface just to test some things. So far so good. The Problem is that I only see the Animations (changing colours, moving parts.....) but not my Callouts. In creo I saw everything.   Did I something wrong with the Callouts?    Thanks for your help 🙂

I have got the Trial Version of Thingworx and have imported the PostgreSQLExtensionPackage from the TW-Marketplace. The database connection works, a simple service of the type "SQL-query" shows results. How can I alter this service in Java script to store the resultset of the SQL (e.g. select * from tab1) in a data table?   Thanks for your help.

Hello.    I have some basic Parametric Questions that I am trying to find the answer to:   1)  Standard hole wizard uses 75% thread engagement by default and uses the necessary tap drill on the drawing, but I work with a lot of steel parts. Can I change the engagement to 50% so I don't have 75% engagement tap drill call-outs on the drawing? English J drill instead of an F, etc. i.e. the hole wizard is automatically selecting a pilot drill that I do not want and my machine shop has definitely let me know that they would have a hard time tapping at higher percentages. .    2) I cannot hide my model tree/feature tree on the left side. The toggle button is greyed out. What configuration option would allow me to turn this function on so I can get the model tree/feature tree out of the way.   3) The drawing/sketch zooms out as soon as I change a dimension. How do I disable this?   any information is helpful. thank you!         &nbsp

Hello guys,   I've been having trouble understanding how services work and how I should program them, I understand the concept of them being the functions of the thing but when it comes to create them, I don't have enough knowledge. The problem I have now is that I have a Data Table with some locations and I want to create Geofences around each one of them. The purpose is to track a vehicle and check if he made into the next Geofence in time. I searched some documents in support but none of it was helpful, this article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS225480&source=snippet shows how to show a Geofence by region but my purpose is to create it for multiple points. Remember that I have the locations in a Data Table but I don't know how to create a Geofence in each one of these points relating it to the vehicle I am tracking.   I also saw a function createCircularGeoFence in service Snippets but I don't know where I would use them to create the Geofences around

Hello,   I am running Creo 5.0.4.0 on Windows 10.   I am trying to open a standard parasolid file and it causes Creo to freeze while loading (spinning wheel of death). Shortly after, Creo stops responding and crashes.   I have tried this on another coworkers computer with the same setup as me, and it crashes for him too. Has anyone seen this before? I read online that you should be able to open x_t filetypes, but this seems to not be the case for me. Please help!

I have created a new sub-folder under the document library. I have created a new sub-type for a new document type. When I create my first document in Windchill using that data sub-type in my new folder, I get a flash bar that says document created, but nothing appears in the folder. If I change my view from All to Owner, the document shows in the folder. Change it Modified by and it still shows, but go back to All and it goes away. Should not the All view type show everything with no restrictions?   I am on Windchill 11.0 m030 and have added new sub-types in prior versions with no problems. Has anyone else seen this issue and/or have any suggestions or work-arounds?  

Hi,   I created a new persistent provider called "PostgreSQL" , I've set it to be active and set it as default persistence provider.   I can find it in Monitoring->Subsystems->Stream Processing.      But after calling Things["xxx"].AddStreamEntry,  I didn't find the value "number of stream entries that have been queued" changed,  it seems the persistent provider doesn't take effect .  How to enable it ?    Regards, Sean

Hi there, I've been having a big problem trying to open creo on my laptop. I managed to install creo without a hassle, however when I try to open it, a window suddenly pops up that says:     Please help? i've tried re-installing Creo but this error still occurs.   My laptop Model: Inspiron 7520 Running on : Windows Home 7 Premium 64-bit (is it because of my operating system?) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.1GHz Memory: 6144MB (6GB) RAM   If it's my operating system, do you think updating it to say Windows 8, will allow me to run Creo 2.0? Will updating it affect the fact that I have a locked license?   Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm creating a string (i.e., Description that should include Name of the Material & Dimensions of the Material (Thickness Width x Length) using the relations platform of the model. I am using Thingworx database to store one week data from manufacturing plants and use Azure Datalake to store older data. Is there a way to use Mashup to view historical data from Azure Datalake? I know I can use PowerBI to view historical data. But I want to use the same tool to see both real time and historical data.

Hi,   I have an infotable that is being passed to Service-A, that service is adding additional fields to that infotable, and returning that infotable. This infotable is being passed to the Grid-Advanced widget to populate its data.   When a row is selected from this grid, I will populate a particular column in that row with a string.   I'm not sure how to accomplish this goal. I currently have Service-A going into an event router along with the result of another service, Service-B (this service takes the infotable from Service-A and populates the value, then returns the entire infotable). Service-B is called when the SelectedRowsChanged event from Service-A is triggered. However, for some reason that event is not being triggered. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
