We recently acquired a company in Europe using Solid Edge ST10 with no PDM/PLM, 3d-Drawing and assembly files are stored on the server. KPIT solution for Windchill integration is pretty much defunct, even if it supported ST10 and WC11, no guarantee there'd be any upgraded solutions going forward. What has anyone out there done with Solid Edge data bringing it to Windchill? Bring it in as non-CAD? How about translating it to SolidWorks and using the SolidWorks WGM? Other ideas, solutions, frustrations? Any input appreciated!

Hi,   I have a device that is using the REST API to update its properties on the Thingworx. I would like to have a service call on the Thing instance to make the device reboot.  Can the device poll the Thingworx platform for any pending reboot service request and reboot itself?  Thanks

I am working on a project in Creo 4.0 M090 to get a .tif file out for many of our models using the Creo Distributed Batch program.  I came across 4 topics I need to solve if possible.   Is there a way to have a certain layer turned off when the Dist Batch program uses Creo?  We have a layer called THREAD that I need to turn off. I am using the No Hidden mode of each part model.  Is there a way to control the thickness of the lines of the output for .tiff files?  The default thickness needs to be increased. Does the Dist Batch program have any way to auto-crop to maximum size (boundary) of the model? Is there a way to set the default view as the standard orientation?  Many of our users do not save the models in the default view.   I’m hoping there is a config.pro entry that works for these.  I know there is a way to run a trail file with Dist Batch but that is not an option right now.

Hello,   I have a problem with "FileName" variable from "FileUpload" wiget. I am trying to connect this variable with a string variable from one thing, but the file name of user don´t show in the string variable. Do you know if "fileUpload" widget is working in Thingworx 8.4? Could you help me with that?   "RepositoryName" is showing correctly in "Repository" but "FileName" not.   Thank you in advance, BR   Luis  

Hi all,I am working on Creo 3 with various assemblies and sub-assemblies. Until recently it was functioning normally, but now when placing an object/assembly, the sub menu under the 'Placement' tab won't appear. The adjacent Move/Options/Flexibility/Properties tabs work fine, its just the Placement.Hopefully one of you guys can help with the problem. Mike.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie working with Thingworx platform. Currently, I have some concerns about the EMS and Lua script. I already knew about the benefit when we use the EMS to connect the remote thing. But the REST API, SDK and LUA script make my confusion:  - When I use EMS standalone, I can Read/Write data from Thingworx Platform through the REST API of EMS. So, the workflow I prefer is read data from sensor -> Use PUT request to send data to Thingworx via EMS. It is practice for me because I can use only one script (in any languages programming) to read data and send it to Thingworx. I saw some examples concern about Andruino and other microprocessors, so I think that is is a good choice to send data via REST API because they can access to Wifi but they can't program with LUA or SDK. That is why I concern about the LUA script. The LUA script is just an optional in Thingworx or it required to connect all the remote things ?  - By the way, it is similar with the REST

I see in the model that my value changes correctly.   But Gauge and Label don't work. Gauge doesn't show Arrow. Hi, is there a way to switch off the scrollbar on a collection widget (when it is not required). I have a number of instances where I use the collection widget and there is only one row, so no requirement to scroll. However, whenever you hover over the widget the scrollbar appears whether or not scrolling is required. In the Thingworx version we have there is the option to change the scrollbar to only appear when hovering, but not a way to hide it that I can see. Thanks, K

Hi   I am not sure how one can have different CAD file versions.   case 1 : Parts of Creo 4.0 Assembly of Creo 2.0 Drawing of Creo 2.0 In above scenario, I assume that All data were in Creo 2.0. One can update one part and save it onto Creo 4.0 and delete part version saved in Creo 2.0. With all these, Can one open drawing in Creo 2.0? I guess no as one of the part is saved in Creo 4.0 ... But drawing can be opened into Creo 4.0. Is this correct understanding?   case 2 : Below scenario is something confusing for me: Parts of Creo 2.0 Assembly of Creo 2.0 Drawing of Creo 4.0 Here earlier all data must be of Creo 2.0 and then one is trying to save drawing into Creo 4.0. With these saving , alll data i.e. parts and assemblies will also not be saved as Creo 4.0 data?   Feel free to ask in case of any confusion.   Thanks and Regards Ketan    

  Hello Community,   I am working on a Mathcad Prime 5.0.0 worksheet. My goal is to import data from Excel, and later in my worksheet run data analysis for the found set.  I am struggling a bit to emulate the behavior for CSVs where the imported data is limited to non-blank rows and columns (once it finds the empty rows and columns it automatically stops importing). The help indicates a way to command READEXCEL to "stop" on a blank row. The problem is that I cannot get it to work. Maybe the previous emptyfill parameter where you fill blanks with something is preventing the "stop" on blank? I cannot figure out how to make it work, and all of the examples use only the most basic inputs.  Any ideas?   The screenshot shown below shows that though I try to "stop" on blankrows, it is persisting; I get all 500010 rows even though there are only 180k lines of data.  Perhaps the substitute of NaN is the issue? After much hair-pulling and manual debugging, I cannot resolve an issue that is breaking a calculation in my for loop. I have imported a dataset that I want to apply various moving average filters to and output a statistical value on the data (mean, stdev, etc...) My issue is that identical arrays are either working or breaking my loop.    If I specify a manual vector of points, the calculation works. If I have a for loop to create an array of time for my moving average filter based on number of filters and max filter time (s), and multiply by frequency (Hz), I get what seems to be an identical vector. One (the manual) is working, and one (the loop generated) fails, even though the look identical.   Image shown below. In establishing a new Windchill installation, I understand that modified OIR, Workflow and Lifecycles are need to conform to your company business practices. Do the context templates need to be company specific? I would still copy then from the site level to a new name at the org level so updates do not change what is being used in the future and use the org level templates for any product and library created,   On a higher level are the Context Templates. Do these also need to be modified before being used to create new products and libraries? If they do, what sort of additional information needs to be defined that these files cannot pick up from the system org or site level?   I have no products defined yet. When I open the Product tab and select Create New Product the template drop-down is blank with 2 choices: General Product or Product Design. Can I just create a product named UPF and use one of these OOTB templates? (After I copy them to a new name at the org level.) &n

Hey guys,   I've been trying to create routes in Google Maps so I created an InfoTable with some latitudes and longitudes to connect these points as a route. I created a Thing named Route with a property InfoTable based on a Data Shape that has 2 Field Definitions: Index and Location. After that, I added the latitudes/longitudes into this Infotable and, with the GetPropertyValues service, I connected the Infotable property with the RouteData (and Data to show the locations I added) GoogleMaps Widget property (and enabled ShowRoute). However, when I ran the Mashup, it showed this image I am uploading, tracing a line, not a polyline.   Could someone help me with creating actual routes and not lines?

Greetings Guys,   I have two selectable things in my 2D-Widget List in Vuforia Studio. If I select Item 1 and press play, it starts with the animation from the beginning which is good. Altogether my Sequence has 10 Steps. Item 1 is between Step 1 and Step 5. Item 2 is between Step 6 and Step 10. How can I jump directly into Step 6 if i select Item 2? At the moment the code looks like this: $scope.setsequenceList = function(){ $scope.app.params.sequenceList = [ { "display":"Item 1", "value":"app/resources/Uploaded/l-Creo%203D%20-%20Abbildung%202.pvi" }, { "display":"Item 2", "value":"app/resources/Uploaded/l-Creo%203D%20-%20Abbildung%202.pvi" } ] } $scope.setsequenceList(); Its like Item 2 is the same like Item 1. Hi all,   I've been developing in Thingworx for a while now and I was wondering if it was possible to reference a Widget Property in a service, something like: if (condition) {      [WidgetProperty] = [Something]; } else {      [WidgetProperty] = [SomethingElse]; }   I know that Widgets have pre-defined services and inputs/outputs but my question is: Could I write a code that defines the input of the property based on a condition? If possible, how do I reference this property in the service?   Thank you.

I downloaded a free 30-day full-featured trial version of Mathcad Express from the site. After installation and some working time in it, I noticed that the top edge of the working window gradually turns into a wide white line (this happens when mathcad is constantly turned on from the taskbar in the process).After some time, it becomes simply impossible to work, because This white line narrows the workplace very much.What could be the reason and how to fix it?  

Hi, We have installed ThingWorx 8.2 in client's server and have used the software downloaded from our account. After the installation while licensing, we used the client's account and downloaded the license and put it in the platform folder. The license got renamed as successful but when we try to access the composer, it shows a error message that license is not entitiled.  How can we proceed with this?   Thanks, Shalini V.

I've created main mashup with some other mashups in layout, eg, header, footer, sidebars, content.   I want to change displayed mashup in content section, from ContentMashup01 to ContentMashup02 by pressing the button in LeftSideMashup.   How can I do this properly?
