We recently purchased 4 locked licenses for each Arbortext Editor and Arbortext Print Composer. The software is installed on each user's laptop.   There are 4 total licenses in a license folder on each user's laptop (two for Editor and 2 for print composer) in the following location: c:\program files\ptc\licenses   Editor opens and works without any problems. However, when users try to print, they receive the error: Unable to obtain a license for optional component Servigistics Arbortext Print Composer.   Any thoughts or suggestions?Thanks!

Hello all, I am running Creo 5.0.4.0 with Windchill 11.1 on a Windows 10.1 machine. The computer is brand new, 2 weeks old. If this is not the correct subforum for this type of issue, please inform me.   I have an issue where the embedded Windchill browser in Creo shows two panes at once, and the result is that none of the functions of Windchill (and by extension, Creo) are unusable (see the attached image). I am unable to open any files through Windchill. Moving the cursor across the Creo window causes the panes to flicker.   So far, I have: * changed my Creo browser from ie11 to chromium, and back * restarted my computer * cleared Creo cache folders * launched Creo without any config files in my working directory (config.pro, activedrawing.dtl, etc.) * uninstalled Creo 5 and deleted cache items, then completed a fresh install of Creo   My previous computer was running Creo 5.0.4.0 on Windows 7. Hi everyone, I am currently working on a optics project which requires me to automate using Visual Basic Application excel to run the lighting simulation. I have managed to run a Direct Simulation based on the no.of rays 20 M. The duration was about 15 min for 20 M.  However, once i run the direct simulation with more rays about 80 M the duration will be around 58 mins and the error will appear halfway through the simulation. Hi.   When I try to start the thingworxs plattform it shuts down before even starting with the error:"Unable to retrieve license from FNO server because Connect to fnoauth.ptc.com:443 [fnoauth.ptc.com/52.2.0.42, fnoauth.ptc.com/3.216.245.130] failed: Connection timed out: connect - Shutting down the Platform."   I'm sure this is because I'm behind a strict corporate-proxy. How can I set up thingworxs to use this proxy to connect to the license-server?I know there is the possibility to generate a licence-file manually, but I would prefer setting up the proxy.

I have been trying to install Thingworx platform 8.3, and when I followed the steps in the guide, I got a 503 Service Unavailable error. Apache tomcat is running.

Hello, In my Vuforia studio there is a problem. It’s not validating the Experience service in INFO tab. It showing error as I attached the image in the attachments. Now I am using the trail version of Vuforia studio which is already extended my time but it’s not showing the TRAIL DAYS LEFT as I attached the image in attachments can you please check it and help me in this.

Hi ,  The method updateProperty is a callback method for a customized widget , it works if bind a Thing's service result to a field .     However ,  it does NOT work if bind a dynamic ThingTemplate service result,  updateProperty is not  call in this case .  Is this a bug ?    Regards, Sean

Hi everyone. I'm very new to MathCAD, using Prime 4.0. I was able to figure out solving 2 simultaneous equations using Solve blocks, and now I'd like to take that one step further so I could solve for multiple pairs of input values. That is, I already have a solve block that finds correct values w/ guess values x1 & y1, and would like one that will solve for x1 & y1, x2 & y2, x3 & y3... I'm guessing this would require some sort of matrix magic, but I'm not really sure. Obviously, I could just copy & paste the solve block for each new pair of inputs, but I have to believe there's a more elegant solution. Can anyone provide some advice?

Hello, I'm trying to take the first and second derivative of my data set (frequency vs temperature). I've used the standard method to define a function via cspline- interpolation and take the derivatives. However, from the attached worksheet, it is seen that the plot of the derivatives have peculiar behavior and I'm afraid the result may not be reliable. Could anyone make a suggestion on this issue, please?   Thank you in advance, Payman 

All,    I am a casual Creo user, therefore my knowledge of the inter-workings of the machine is somewhat limited. I imported a step file, which I believe was created from Creo (but not 100% certain). It has some malformed geometry that I would like to eliminate and/or hide. I read this thread: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Part-Modeling/Editing-of-imported-geometry/td-p/117389   The issue is that the model tree only shows the top level object, which is to say the assembly icon followed by the filename.asm. There isn't anything else in the tree nor an arrow to expand. When I right click on that object I don't get an edit definition option. What am I missing here?   TIA, Aaron Creo 4.0 M030

Hello!   Is it, in general, possible to separate a complex value into a real and imaginary parts in Mathcad? If it possible, how can we do so? Lets say that I have a complex root "r=0.2+3i". I want to assign the real value of this root as a=0.2 and imaginary as b=3i. Do you have any suggestions?   Best regards, Sergey      

Dear community,    I'm trying to get better at visualising data and getting to know the different data visualisation widgets in ThingWorx.  I'm also looking a bit arround to demo's to get some inspiration, and I came accross a widget I can't find anywhere else. I'm talking about the widget-progress-bar in the image below. It shows a real smooth progress bar which you can display by a bar, gauge or a circle.    Has anyone ever seen this widget? I can't find the widget in the Market Place or anywhere else.  I hope someone can help me out on this one.  Thanks,    Jasper    

Hello guys,   In our company we work with a startup batch script that sets variables and config settings. If I double click on a Creo file, or open it from our ERP system, Windows has this file (*.prt.1, *.drw.2, *.asm.3 …) associated with Parametric.exe and not our batch script?   If this was for 1 file it is not a problem but it’s for *.1, *.2, *.3, - *.250 and on 10 systems So, I am looking for an automated way to change file associations.   I tried the following already with no success:   I found some files in the Creo installation that we tried to change: C:\PTC\Creo 5.0.4.0\InstallManager\CommonCreated.reg C:\PTC\Creo 5.0.4.0\Parametric\bin\pim\xml\created.reg [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.1] @="C:\\PTC\\CadCorner_Config_Creo5.00\\0_Bin\\Start_Creo5.bat"   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.1 @="C:\\PTC\\CadCorner_Config_Creo5.00\\0_Bin\\Start_Creo5.bat" Tried with the DOS commands Ftype, and Assoc with no good result. assoc .1=CreoParametric assoc .2=

When I try to run the connectivity installer on windows I get the error   Verify File Signature "...-Connectivity-8-4.exe' is not trusted"   Some windows magic required to install? I don't see anything in the install docs.

I'm sure that this should be possible but I can't work out how. I want to show or hide a drawing note symbol, e.g. "Unreleased data, do not manufacture!", based on the value of a parameter in creo, which will have been propagated from Windchill.   Can anyone help me work out how to do this please?

Hi,   Date picker`s Changed event or textbox`s Changed Event not getting triggered when values update through service. Ex: A service returning dateTime as result and mapping with date picker`s date, whenever it returns different date, value getting updated on widget but Changed event not getting triggered. similar to text box as well.   Is Changed event applicable only for manual change?   My requirement is shift based data update, shift date time coming from a service and updating date picker.   If above case is not possible ?!! what will the solution for my requirement?   Suggestions Please...   Regards, Janakiraman P    

Hi, I have used the Connect to Raspberry Pi Guide and now i have a working connectivity between TW and RPI. I have also attached a PIR motion detector sensor to the RPI.    The thing is i would like to get data real time from the Raspberry pi, right now i can only make it refreshing the Lua script once every 0.5 seconds. Hello Everyone,   I was wondering whether there is a solution to save a component without related part. For example, I have an A asm and it has related B and C part like attached model tree.   I would like to save just A.asm even if B and C parts were changed. When I looked for a solution, I found "save_object" setting. However, it has just "changed_and_specified" option but I need to just "specified" option.   In the meantime, I would like to say why I need that. I would like to write a special save application via J-link, so I need to manage saving status by myself.    If someone might find a config option or j-link method, it will be great for me.
