I assume it's possible to export from TW 8.0 and then import into TW 8.3, but if I wanted to export from 8.3 and then import into 8.0, would I encounter issues (ignoring for a moment extensions).  Would I simply need to take care to avoid using features that are only available in the later version?   More broadly, is there any guidance / matrix  available as to which versions play nicely and those that don't when importing / exporting entities between them?   Thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction in this matter.

Hello, I am trying to install Thingworx navigate 1.8 using installer (600 MB file proivded on PTC website). I don't have Windchill configured for SSL, nor i want to do it. So i am selecting option Fixed Authentication. I keep my Windchill server on, i can access it from browser. So even after providing correct URL and Administrator username and password i am not able to connect to windchill.   I guess for Fixed Authentication Https is not mandatory.  Also  when i try to connect using media 1) ptc-windchill-integration-connector-proxy 2) ptc-windchill-integration-connector   and run the LandingPageAccessAppMashup , it shows connection refused in Application logs.

what is this error?   service gets a string as input.. some strings works.  Checked logs but only displays error name. Please help

Hello, I have had Vuforia Studio all throughout 2018, and most updates came automatically in this window:     But since 8.2.3, I have not received any updates. I even manually tried update through this:     but got an error message stating "Oh no! The update failed. Hello Everyone,    so I have the ThingWorxAnalytics Version 8.3.2 Trial Edition installed. Now I would like to use the Anomaly Detection Services.    When trying to create an Anomaly Alert for a Property the initialization fails and the following Log Message appears: Anomaly Detection Training Service URI is not set. Please Verify.   I wonder how to find out this URL? Since it is installed on the machine its localhost but I dont know about the port and the rest.    Any help about how to set this up correctly is appreciated very much.   Best Regards, Dominik

Hi Developers,   I'm currently doing inplace migration of TWX platform from 7.2 to 8.3.   I had followed the TWX Upgradation document to successfully complete the inplace migration. In the document it was recommended to do Extension re import for our use case. There were no mention of steps in the document to do this. Our server even with out extension reimport was functioning properly but we got datastore errors (Unable to get search entries: [1,018] Data store unknown error: [Error occurred while accessing the model provider.]]) frequently. So we had decided to do the re import to complete the upgradation process.   We've lot of extensions in our old platform among which TWX Utilities 7.2 is important for our application. Is it possible to implement a PID (Proportional - Integral - Derivative) speed or position control on a motor in CREO mechanism?  Here is an example of a basic (non PID) speed control I have used with a torque motor.  What if there is a specific algorithm used by the control circuit such as PID?  Are there some example of how this might be implemented?  Is Custom Loads a possible or preferred way to do this?   Torque Motor Speed Control Method    

Hello, We have vs 2010 and creo toolkit2.0 we want to deploy.dll file of creo 2.0 to creo 4.0 but we don't have vs2015 .How can we deploy that .dll file on creo 4.0 .

I have multiple datum point sketches that I would like to merge into a single sketch for patterning a hole.  I don't want Cntl-C/V the sketches together because construction lines overlap and get messy.  The point pattern only allows selecting 1 sketch at a time.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a set of data that I am importing from excel.     I am reading data from the file. It is in the format. "[79.34029,63.57957]" (There is a column of data)   I want to convert this to 79.34029,63 at an angle of 63.57957 degrees.   I tried reading it and used str2num but it did not "like" my approach.   Thanks for your help.

Hello, I have installed navigate 1.7 .  Also will importing  GridAdvanced3.0.5.zip in thingworx composer was not accepted so i imported grid-advanced_ExtensionPackage-4.1.1.zip.   1)  will testing ValidateConnection service from ptc-windchill-integration-connector the result is : Error executing service. Message ::Unable To Convert From org.mozilla.javascript.UniqueTag to INFOTABLE - See Script Error Log for more details.   2) As specified in installation document , when i  make changes to  the web.xml file at location  C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 8.5\webapps\Thingworx\WEB-INF     Thingworx Composer and LandingPageAccessAppMashup both does not opens 3) If i ignore the changes to be made in web.xml file then i can able to view both the pages but  can't connect to  Windchill. Also I don't want SSL connection , so is their any way to get connected to windchill? Please help

Hey Guys,   So, i'm trying to do For loop in my file to define a concentration changes in respect to x. The approach used :  I have to first solve the CO2lSS with ode solver and resulted in CO2lSS(x). And from there i substitute into the equation of CO2gSS(x) equation, where inside the equation there the CO2gin and CO2lin which i want to do iteration.   CO2lin (n) has to equal to the CO2lout (n-1) and CO2gin (n) has to equal to CO2gout (n-1). Where n is the number of cycle, and each cycle is 250 m. So i want to make a loop where everytime the concentration reach x=250 m, that value will be used for another concentration in value.   I tried but it still gives error. Hope you guys can help. Hi There,   I was trying to enable full-screen mode by clicking a button instead of f11 option. I used the following HTML code as a normal HTML file, works cool.   <button  onclick='document.documentElement.webkitRequestFullscreen();'>Go Fullscreen Mode</button><button onclick='document.webkitExitFullscreen();'>Close Fullscreen</button>   I also tried HtmlTextArea widget with the read-only option enabled, Not getting the expected result. Even I tried WebFrame widget to call the HTML file and execute, not worked.   Give me a solution if exist.  

I am writing a paper using as math editor Mathcad, but when I write an equation that is missing a value or a previous definition, I have a comment, for example: A name is required here" and the mistake in the equation will be in red.  Being in red affect the possibility to copy and paste the equation in a word document. is there a way that I can avoid the red color when a mistake is happening in an equation?
