Hi Developers,   I'm working on a scenario where a user with a reference in the composer should be able to invoke a service in a thing through URL alone.   http://Administrator:admin@123@localhost/Thingworx/Things/Test123/Properties/temp?Accept=application/json   Through the above URL i was able to fetch the JSON response of the property. But the drawback is for the first time even with the user credentials passed in the URL, i got the Thingworx User Credentials prompt window coming up. After cancelling it out and trying again with the same session i got the expected result.     So is this a normal behavior or do we have any work around for it.   For invoking a service how to pass the input params in the same way as above.   The whole point is to invoke a Thingworx service from a third party server by passing the user creds in the URL. (we would prefer the credentials being passed instead of the Application key).   Thanks and

Hi,   I have a simple service in Thingworx for THING_17, the thing implements ContentLoader thing shape   " return me.LoadText({ url: 'http://localhost:8089/', header: '{ "Accept": "text/html" }', timeout: 12000 }); " and there is a local HTTP service listening at port 8089, PostMan can do a request and receive a response well, but i got an error when using LoadText service    "Unable to Invoke Service Execute on THING_17 : null   Any help would be very appreciated.   My Bests, Hung Tran

Having issues with HSM Rough, Parameters are set up for Rough Only, Constant Load, Step Over .03 , Max Step Depth .625      Issue with this is it still wants to do a full retract when the tool path starts to work in corners. Instead of doing a small tool lift.   Any suggestions or solution's would be appreciated. 

Hi Developers,   What are the HA features for KepserverEX ?    The current scenario is that we have defined channels, devices and data tags in a single Kepserver and its now connected to the Thingworx composer. Now we're looking for fail safe scenarios on the Kepserver machine. I couldn't find documents for this.   I came across link and learnt about Redundancy Master. I'm didn't quite get how to use this and this document seems to be outdated. Could you suggest why it is not listing one of RemoteThing using this service. I'm designing a crank arm assembly and would like to have Creo automatically generate the resulting cam path based on my sketch relations. Is this possible? In the attached screenshot, the blue line (wiper) moves relative to the green line (crank arm) based on a dimensional relation. The orange line (cam path) is part of the wiper (e.g., in the form of a slot) and provides a path for the crank arm to follow.   To generate the cam path, I moved the crank arm at defined intervals, manually interpolated the points, and drew a spline curve. I'd like to have the points generated automatically based on the angular position of the crank arm and my sketch relation. This way, I can change other dimensions and have the cam path updated dynamically.   I've attached a sketch to show how the geometry works (turn off the dimensions for a better view). Hi, Is it possible to set password when Couple of interfaces to send tag values to kepware from UI? The same must be password protected . We click on it, then a password request pops up and then if password is passed, then gives old value and asks for new value.  If not, says “sorry, you do not have permission to write to Kepware.   Please provide some idea.   Thanks, Shalini V.

Hello, currently, i am using the following versions: Thingworx 8.2, Analytics Server 8.2, Thingpred 8.2, Analytics Extension 8.2 When I try to trigger an analytics event-starting an Analysis Job- by changing the the Thing value of a previously to an analytics event connected Thing. Hi everybody,   I have been stuck on this for a while. I had developed several widgets before but I had never needed an infotable as output/source. I have found an small example as answer on another topic of this forum, but I can´t seem to make it work. Ok, this "itos" stuff is giving me a real headache.  I see a bunch of solutions, but I'm not understanding how to implement them, so I'll be specific.  I want to make the line below work and give me 3 decimal places fro all the parameters.  It's completely retarded that you can't simply use the "[.3]" that you can in dwgs.   Anyways, here's what I'm trying to do to get the relation to work to make the parameter "DWG_TITLE2" work to fill out the BOM correctly.  I've made it a flexible part, so it'd be nice to have it work parametrically to fill out the BOM.   DWG_TITLE2 = itos(A1_SPRING_OD) + " OD" + "," + " " + itos(A1_FREE_LENGTH) + " LONG," + itos(A1_WIRE_DIAMETER) + " WIRE DIAMETER,"   Thanks in advance!

This popup is displayed when you try to open an item that is currently being edited by another user.       How does the composer know this?  Is this info accessable so that it could be used by a custom service?

If it isn't obvious from my subject, I'm using Prime 5.  I've run into a few issues where a partial derivative will incorrectly evaluate both symbolically and numerically as 0.  I've attached two files, both are pretty stripped down just to illustrate what I'm seeing.    The first, derivative_error.mcdx, illustrates the issue with a fairly simple example. You can see that the derivatives with respect to the first two variables are correct but the last three evaluate to 0.   In the second file, derivative_error2.mcdx, all I did was rename essentially everything and the issue magically disappeared.  This has been my only method around this issue to-date.  Move a piece of my work to a different file, play with variable names, eventually things start working.  I've never been able to fix the issue in my original file though.     I've searched this forum quite a bit and haven't seen a similar issue.  I'm either doing something real

Hi All,I've got a fairly large Creo View file that has a number of textures in it to represent screens on the real product.  As it's a big file, I'd like to use the CAD optimizer to reduce down the files size for the experience, but the problem is that this removes the textures from the models.  The images are still in the High, Medium and Low Creo View files, but the OL geometry file doesn't use them.I've been playing around with the pvaroptimizer.pvr file that stored in C:\Users\<username>\Documents\ThingWorxStudio\Projects\node_modules\cad-import-filters\import_filters\win64\recipe and have added in adapter/useTexture=1 but this doesn't work.Does anyone know how to keep the textures when using the CAD optimizer?Many thanks,Allan
