The server we currently use to supply our Creo licenses is being replaced. In the process of building our new server, the IT folks have provided me with a VMWare virtual server that I have full control over, so I can manage our Flex licensing. All well and good, but I can't seem to get the license software to function on the virtual server. (1) Is a virtual server an acceptable "home" for the license software? (2) If so, are there configurations that I need to do to that server to make it functional?   I ran the setup and provided the newly created license file and things seemed to go, but the end result was the status report of "Unreachable" and an inability to "Finish" the process. I checked the Services running, and find "lmadmin_ptc" is there, but Stopped. I do not see "ptc_d" the daemon. There is no log file and thus on indication of what could be wrong or missing. I checked the "license.dat" file and the entries that were automatically created by the setup utility are correc

Dear community,    When I want to add remote data to my Industrialgatewaything, I can not find my device that is in KepWare. I have uploaded two pictures to adress my question.   In ThingWorx version 8.3, it is super easy to just click discover, and see all the tags from my KepServer.  How is this done in previous versions? I can't seem to find it in version 8.2.    I've been searching for this for quite some time now but I just can't find it.    Any help is welcome, thank you.    Jasper

Hello,          I am using Gantt Chart extension from PTC Marketplace. When I configured and run the mashup it's giving error as "TypeError: Cannot read property 'ActualDataRows' of undefined at resize". To get the components of the drawing view, a component for the simplified representation was obtained using ProSimprepdataitemsVisit. ProSimprepdataitemsVisit visited with components that are not visible due to the section settings.This is not good.   Do you have an idea to get the components visible in the drawing view?   Thank you. I've received an assembly containing a lot of relations. A lot of them are looking something like : d100:99=d122. So, d122 is a dimension in the main assembly, ok. But is it possible to find what is the part or sub-assembly corresponding to ":99" ? I can display the dimension, but don't know where it's coming from. Thanks, (Creo2)

As per this Article, the Google maps API key has been inserted into Google Widgets Extension Package downloaded from the marketplace.  Then,i re-zipped it and tried to import into the Hosted Server, but it says Validation: Not Acceptable and fails to import.Now, How shall i proceed to use the google maps widget in my Hosted Server?? Hi everyone,   I have a trouble with tracking. I'm using a model target to do the tracking and it works at first but I lost tracking when I change my initial position. Additional the AR is not static but seems like is bouncing all the time.   Is there any special method to fix the AR once is being played?   Regards,

For the last few weeks I have been trying to install Creo 4 M030 on my laptop. Everytime I run the installer it would always freeze after I enter my PTC login details. I tried Creo 5.0 last night and was meeted with the exact same problem.   I have tried downloading the file a few times and this has froze every time. I had 4 M020 installed previously but I have this uninstalled, unless there is something still around from that which is causing it.   I have seen on other posts about graphic drivers being at fault; My laptop has Intel HD Graphics 3000 which has the latest driver installed, along with any other drivers.   I have attached the latest traceback.log file from the installation (version 5) and would be grateful if anyone could determine what my problem is.

Hi, In creo 3.0 option to set as active model by selecting a view is removed. Is there is any way to add this option back in creo 3.0. I really need this option, as mostly I worked in drawing with multiple models. In all the previous version, this option was available and I am using it frequently to work fast.   Thanks

I downloaded this application on to my computer ~1 year ago and used it fairly frequently.  I have just had a hard drive failure and have been trying to re-load everything, including this.  I go on to the website, fill out all the required information and submit.  It says I will get an e-mail with a link to allow me to download the application, but nothing comes.  I have tried the chat line and sending an e-mail to the address given - but nothing happens. Does anyone know what is going on?

I must be stupid.  I can't figure out how to add axis labels to an X-Y plot in Prime 5.  I found a new features post from a little while back that mentions the capability, but no hint of how to turn them on.  Nothing obvious in the software help either.  Can some kind soul steer me in the right direction?

Hi folks,   I am trying to solve a second order differential equation in Mathcad 15 to model the diffusion of a substrate in a spherical pellet. Regrettably, Odesolve gives me the following message: 'This function cannot be used here' (see attached file). I have tried to rearrange the equation in different forms to see if that helped, but I still have the same problem. Do you know how can I solve the issue?    Best, Daniela

I have a bunch of models I need to shrink-wrap. These models are large and take hours to complete. In the past I remember having a non visual script I could run and pass commands to do certain things in Creo.   So basically I would run non visual script for Creo, have it open a file, run save as shrink-wrap, accept all defaults. Sounds easy enough! Ideas?

Greetings,My users have a legitimate complaint in this one.  They are wanting to know, at a glance, from their Tasks list which Change Notice the Change Activity task generated from the Implementation plan was created in.By default there is a Name (task name for the workflow node) and Subject (a concatenation of Type-Number and task name as defined in the implementation plan), however, there is no reference to which CN the Task was created from.I am looking for any creative way to help the users determine from which CN there CA tasks are coming from across their assigned list.Thanks in advance.Cam

Hi all,   We installaled CPS26 on our Dev VM's which also have the customization we use deployed in order to test our customization against the CPS26. At the moment we are faced to an error that says: The code of method _jspService(HttpServletRequest, HttpServletResponse) is exceeding the 65535 bytes limit. This happens while trying to create a document and seems to be caused by the createDocumentSetTypeAndAttributesWizStep.jsp in which we modified the value of a variable from true to false.    Have you seen this type of error before? We already contacted PTC and they offered the solution from the following case: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS174031 but without any success.    Thanks.     

Hi, I am trying to create a spiral curve with uniform pitch along its sweep direction. It seems Creo is only able to control the pitch along its trajectory spine, nothing else.  The pictures below show I am trying to create:         Creo4 part file attached here for your reference.  Anyone has any idea how do I achieve this ? I`m trying to use ValueStream chart to show property history of selected Thing from all Things that share same template. I can get QueryImplementingThingsWithDataHistory data for template that things are using but I need to be able to show data for only selected one. How can I do that?

Hi,    If image name contains the special characters(#) and assign the image path to Thing property, image is not assigning to Thing property. If we go to thing and set the same image manually to Thing, image is assigning to Thing property.  I have defined Property Type is IMAGELINK   I am using the below code for assign image to Thing property.   var imageName  = "Image #22.PNG" var imagelinkpath = "/Thingworx/MediaEntities/" + imageName; Things["XYZ"].Imagepath = imagelinkpath;   Could you suggest what way we can achieve if image name is having the special characters and assign the image to Thing in programmatically?   Thank You   Regards, latha

Hi, I am trying to solve a beam bending problem. My end goal is to solve a problem with more complexity, but for now I have simplified it so that I can make sure I understand how to use MathCAD. See the sketch below. I have a cantilever beam, supported on the left (at x0=0) it extends to x1. The Support reaction loads can be described as M0 and R0 which I am trying to solve for. The end of the beam is being deflected by Y1.   I have set up a solve block in MathCAD (Prime 2.0) as such:   But I get all sorts of errors. I've been reading about different solving methods including odesolve (I guess this could be seen as a really simple ODE, as well as symbolic calculation, but I haven't gotten any to work!
