Hello,   I have a FileRepository Thing "myTestRepository" where I would like to limit the permissions for a group of users to only downloading files for which they get the link. I would NOT like to give them permissions on ALL the services on "myTestRepository" Thing - to ensure they cannot add/delete/modifiy files in the repository (e.g. thru REST calls using a REST client like Postman) or read the contents of other Folders... The downloadLink could be returned by a custom service "getFileDownloadLink" as a HYPERLINK, just as it is returned by the built-in service GetFileListingWithLinks of the FileRepository ThingTemplate. The service GetFileListingWithLinks could be allowed to execute by giving ServiceExecute permissions to the System User, so that the downloadLink can be returned when GetFileListingWithLinks is called from the getFileDownloadLink Service - which is the only service I would like to allow ServiceExecute runtime permissions

Hello, I would like to create a composite query (single query) which has types of both AND and OR. For better explanation consider that datatable (say DT_A) has four columns (say 'name' [type: STRING], 'description' [type: STRING], 'remarks' [type: STRING] and 'date' [type: DATETIME]). Hi,   I am currently using ThingWorx 8.3.1. ThingWorx was working perfectly fine in my local system as well as the AWS instance that I have. All of a sudden both of them failed and the license in ThingworxPlatform changed from "successful_license_capability_response" to "ignored_license_capability_response" and "unprocessed_license_capability_response". This happened in both the AWS instance as well as my local system. The tomcat server closes after the last line of in the attached screenshot I also tried downloading a new license with the device id obtained from the "licenseRequestFile.txt" file. However, same error occurs. Hi everybody,recently in the company where I work, our central CAD specialists suggested us to use motion skeletons. The reason they never suggested this to us before is that few mont ago we passed to Creo3, and they told us that in C3 the motion skeleton features are better and evolved respect the past.I don't know if this is true or not, but I wond why you have to use motion skeletons (msk) when you have MDO (mechanism)?I read years age that msk were uesed when the MDO was inside Mechanica and it costed a lot; so msk permitted you to move the model also without the possibility of making analysies.I'd like to know your point of view.Thanks.Bye

When I open my assembly, at the top it tells me the revision and iteration of the assembly (ex: A.4).  Is there a way to see what the revision and iteration of the components in that assembly without opening the components individually??  I realize that by default, the most current version of each component is pulled from Windchill.  I would like the be able to see it though.    Using Creo 2.0, Windchill 10.2

If you have not, and are looking to install or update Workgroup Manager software on Windows 10, be aware.  In my case, seen with SolidWorks 2016/2017, Windows 10 and Windchill 10.2 M30 CPS-24: Windchill Workgroup Manager and WFS Driver Installation fails on Windows 10 when Secure Boot function is enabledThe PTC WFS Controller service does not work properly in Windchill Workgroup Manager integration with CAD Applications supporting Windchill File System (WFS)   PTC WFS Controller Service does not start and gives following error in event viewer "The PTC WFS Controller service terminated unexpectedly" in Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 on Windows 10   SPR 6593724 (disabling Secure Boot is not possible as a workaround in many organizations) Probably other docs in the DB, but these were the ones PTC passed along. Hola, can anyone explain to me why after alias attribute mapping (Baseline) two servers showing two different results? Production server diplays "Unassignable" values when no baseline involved but test server shows clean column. I would prefer to have "clean" column on production server like on test server. Hi, I need to creat helical sweep like on the picture below on the left. I am able to do half of it but not sure how to turn its direction back. I tried to mirror the sweep but it creates sharp corner in the middle and that is not at all suitable for cam follower. I need it to turn back following an ellipse. Hello 1.- When using Detect Shell Pair it does not detect the filletes (R1.0 and R2.0) The surface is not completed. What is the problem ??? The whole model is made in PTC CREO 4.0 2.- By using Shell Pair manually and with the option to extend adjacent surfaces, the average surface sought is formed. By using the AUTOGEM Review Geometry, it shows error in the edges   I have adjusted the absolute and relative precision variables, to be able to form those fillets (R1.0 and R2.0).   I assume that some variable needs to be adjusted in order to achieve the mesh of the average surface.   Regards Carlos Mora L.  

Hi,   I installed Thingworx using twxFoundationH2Trial-8.3.2-linux-x64-installer.run and I'm trying to make it use Postgresql as the model provider. I edited platform-settings.json to point to postgresql but it seems to have no effect. I have Postgresql installed and configured on a different machine and the storage folder is /ThingworxPostgresqlStorage. Has anyone noticed a issue in either Creo 2 and 3 (or even later versions) that has the product of inertia showing the wrong sign (positive or negative)? I've found recently that Creo 2 and 3 are reporting the incorrect sign for the product of inertia and I wanted to confirm if anyone else in the PTC community has seen the same thing. I created a simple block in exactly the same position, size, orientation, and density in Creo, NX, and Solidworks and ran the mass properties. Creo is the only one reporting the Product of Inertia with negative signs. Please see attached PNG image file for those results. Thanks!

Hi all, i used the GateWay tool wizard to Export & Import Excel files, it works wonderful. And if i going to use the command line to Import new item:   Gateway import --user=*** --hostname=*** --port=*** --config="XXXX" --silent --file="file-path-and-name"  also works fine. Hi    I'm trying to add an time series chart to my mashup in thingworx with values of type LONG from an OPC UA stream.   The values for that chart are of type LONG and therefore they are not displayed in the chart. Is there a setting where a time series chart could display LONG values?   Is there an elegant way to convert these values by a custom service before sending them to the time series chart?   Thanks 

I have a Solidworks assembly from a customer.  It looks like they forgot to include some library parts, screws and such.  The important parts I need to see are all present.  The assembly opens and then gives an error that files are missing, but the suppress/delete options I would normally see are greyed out (see image below).  I would like to open the assembly and just skip the missing parts.  If I were opening native Creo files I would be able to suppress the missing parts and still open the assembly.  Is there a config setting to accomplish this, or how can I open the assembly without these missing parts?
