Does anyone know how to create a composite datum reference frame via syntax?    @[position]@[#@]@[A[z,u,v]@]@[B[x,y]@]@[C[w]@]                   @[#@]@[A[z,u,v]@]   How can I carry the position sym onto both level of the syntax as you would see with a typical composite tolerance?

Hello Everyone,   I would like to write a location and state property of my things to a Stream (and then use this Stream to display the Location properties on the Google Maps Widget). The Datashape for the Stream is set accordingly (location and String).    Is there a way to ''bind'' the property Values to this Stream so that I always have the current values when I execute the GetStreamData service of my Stream? I am aware of the AddStreamEntry service but It implies that I would have to write the data manually. Also I would have to add the ThingName as a primary key and take care of how the entries are added to avoid redundancy.   PS: Using a ValueStream is not an option for me because I need to get the properties of all my logged things as an Infotable (just like provided by the GetStreamData service)   Any help is appreciated very much!   Best Regards, Dominik

I have defined a load function, which plots nicely:   Then I find the shear force diagram by integrating the load function and considering reactions.  This also plots nicely:   Finally, I want to find the moment diagram... should be just an integration of the shear force diagram... but Mathcad seems to get confused: (100kNm is just an estimate for demonstration purposes) (Note the single point at 0, 100)   Am I doing something wrong, or is this a Mathcad problem?   The main source of my frustration is that the loading diagram 'works' and the shear force diagram which is based on it, also 'works' - why then not the bending moment?   Although I understand that posting the calculation file is preferred, I have not done so as it is over 25 pages long and almost every page feeds into these functions, eventually.  Would anyone have any ideas of what I should check?

On an assembly drawing bom table with 20 items. I remove line item #5 and insert a new component. How do you I make the bom table place the new component at the top of the bom table instead of reusing line item #5?Thank you in advance.Ross

Hello everyone, I am trying to perform a fea on a shaft with 2 inputs (10000 lb*ft), supported by 2 bearings. Instead of putting a constraint at the output gear I thought it would be better to apply a torque opposite to the input torque, in this case -20000 lb*ft. The stress and deflection I obtain don't seem correct. The shaft rotates in the direction of the input torque (more than one full rotation, the output torque doesn't seem to have any effect), it shrinks and on the output gear it is showed a high localized stressed area, which I cannot justify. If I substitute the output torque with a constraint that fix rotations the result seems to be correct, but I would like to investigate the reason why applying opposite torques doesn't work. I add that if I run the model with only input torques the fea still runs, even if I should get an error because the system is not isostatic and the shaft can rotate on its axis. I hope someone can help me on this.   Thank you Daniele

I opened a case on Monday, Oct 15, sev 2.  Wasn't sure where to put it based on the problem (problem being a subject for another post in a different group, maybe).  The case showed as "open" once I completed the online form, and was assigned a number.  I never got an email confirming the open, the one that instructs you to reply to the email as is.  Figured it was queued up after a busy weekend, and didn't think much of it.   Come to the end of the day.  Still no email.  Hmmmmm. I open up the case online, and there is now an owner and an instruction from the case owner from me.  I never got an email on that.  I updated the case to let the owner know I am not getting updates, and could he please respond directly to me via email.    The owner then decides to transfer the case.  No email.  I noticed because I am now constantly checking the case online.   The case is now with the new owner,  who apparently has to c

I have what is probably a simple plotting issue. It occurs at the bottom of the attached worksheet. I am comparing four outputs from Odesolve and Radau: velocity, stress, porosity and pore pressure. When I plot the velocity and stress together there is no problem (I know there are some differences in the peaks, but I understand why this is happening and it is not the issue). For the porosity and pore pressure, the outputs look ok if I put them on separate plots, but if I put them on the same plot, the output from the second quantity on the plot (from Odesolve) does not seem to plot correctly.

Hi Developers,   We are working on custom apps with the Navigate Extension. We're successful in creating the apps and adding them to the landing page of the Administrator. We've added seven apps to the landing page and they are visible for the Administrator. But when we're trying to give the visibility for non-admin user groups, there are only five apps available in the permission screen of the administrator. When we removed one custom app, then a new app is available in the permission screen. Is there anyway to show all the custom apps in the permission screen?   Thanks and Regards, SaranKarthick K R 

Adding a property definition to a Thing programmatically requires a Thing restart in order for the property to come up (https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Unable-to-add-new-property-programatically-using-service/m-p/553678#M29081). Is there a similar process for a Thing Template? There is no "RestartThing" service on the template and it doesn't look like my properties that I add programmatically work.

I was on 8.3.1 and it was publishing just fine, I updated to 8.3.4 and the publishing stopped working. I do not get any errors in Vuforia Studio itself, but it doesn't ever show the publishing progress bar, the publish and saves button grey out, and the log shows the following: [10/09/2018 13:09:18] error: [twx-studio:index] uncaughtException SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0[10/09/2018 13:09:18] at JSON.parse (<anonymous>)   I have successfully validated the Experience Server and the only change was updating.

I want to add tools and arrows to my expirence and as it is not possible to get symbols from Illustrate to Vuforia studio I have imported the tools and arrows to my SBOM.   The imported parts have a default location.   When I start to make a sequence I move the part into place with the "Record content" turned off. I then Apply a fade in Effect. (see pictures wrench1.jpg) In illustrate everything looks fine and the Wrench fades in to the right of the drone.   When I preview the steps in Vuforia studio the wrench fades in at is original location for a split second (but long enough to notice) and then jumps to the intended location. (see picture wrench2.jpg)   This is very annoying. The work around I have found is to edit the structure and place the wrench in the starting position but that is not ideal.

Hi there,   Just wondering, I have an assembly with a sensor and two nuts attached and I would like to place this sensor assembly onto a number of brackets with different wall-thicknesses (meaning the position of the nuts will be different for each wall thickness). What is the most efficient solution here? Create a new sub-assembly of the sensor-and-nuts for each bracket or is there a smarter solution, eg. something with flexible parts (Im using Creo 3 with AFX)? How could I do that?
