So, I joined a company that uses CREO 10. When I got here, I found out they also have SW Pro with SIM Pro with ECAD thermal analysis. I asked why and they stated that CREO Sim doesn't provide ECAD thermal analysis. So, I personally would rather use SW for our CAD - especially since we do the ECAD sim in SW already. Otherwise, it would be great to find a solution for CREO and move away from SW Sim. Now I know Ansys runs within CREO - but does CREO have a basic ECAD thermal simulation that is acceptable? Keep in mind money is the driving factor here - so spending 10's of thousands of dollars is not an option. So, the process of going from CREO to SW is just painful. If CREO has a decent solution it would solve a ton of issues. Is CREO simulation - especially for ECAD that bad? So, what does SW ECAD Sim offer - it allows for PCB board simplification allowing to input the PCB layers with copper weights - it allows for 2-R definition of electrical components - it allows for CFD an

I'm looking for some advice. It seems that ProDrawingFromTemplateCreate() does not allow for the use of a simplified representation to be utilized to create a new drawing (resulting in the drawing being created with 'master'). I want to avoid loading 'master' into a newly created drawing. How are others working around this limitation? I'm considering this approach:- Supply ProDrawingFromTemplateCreate() with a temporary empty assembly model to create drawing- Use ProDrawingAsmsimprepAdd() to add a preselected simp rep to the drawing- Delete the temporary assembly from the drawing. Thoughts?

KEPServerEX 6.15.132.0We have 8 Allen-Bradley Compact Logix 5300 PLCs connected on individual channels using the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Ethernet driver via a wireless Moxa Gateway device. We also have 4 Siemens S7 PLCs that are configured, but are currently powered down and offline. These devices have been connected for almost a year and working without issue. This morning all of the tags on all of the connected devices began showing Bad (Out of Service) tag Quality. Nothing has changed on the KEPServerEX side that we are aware of. The KEPServerEX event log doesn't show any errors, just a few warnings where devices that are not online have been automatically demoted, and auto-promoted to determine if communications can be re-established.We have restarted KEPServerEX and rebooted the Windows 2022 VM Server that KEPServerEX is installed on several. Product: PTC Arbortext Editor 8.2.2.1 The documentation for the session_add_callback and how the 'quit' callback function is invoked is confusing with regard to how the quit code is documented.  I need the ability to do some proper cleanup with Arbortext process is closing, but not sure how to reliable do this with a quit callback. The code that is passed to the quit callback is 0, 1, 2, but some testing has shown that when called with a '0', the application may not fully exit if the user decides to cancel the quit (e.g. has unsaved edits).  For example, the following scenario happens:I select Exit from the File menu while there is unsaved changes.My callback is called with code equal to 0.  Since I do not know if the application is truly exiting, I have the callback do nothing.The Arbortext then pops up the do-you-want-to-save changes dialog.I cancel the dialog, so the application is still running.I choose exit again.Unsaved-changes dialog pops up again (my ca

Due to client's decision and to avoid the data lost because of client/server certificate need to renew every 3 years. we are agreed to change the security policy to "None"2) I have completed change the security level to "None" on the UA sever side. I have perform the loop back test and it's successfully (re-create the channel to connect locally).3) When I want to change the security policy from "Basic256Sha256" to "None". the setting on the UA client keep fall back to "Basic256Sha256" once I click the Apply and OK button.4) I tried to disable the tag scanning and configure, the result still the same.would it be the Authentication issue? default OPCUser issue? the log of the configuration HMI is showing i'm the administrator. seem like I can't update the security setting on UA client.

Hi!  First time poster here. I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place. Long story somewhat short: I use creo parametrics 8. After adding new fonts to my c/windows/fonts folder, I opened creo to find it looking like this (see attached photo) I have tried changing UI font size to small, doing a different font.. None of it has made a difference. There are no changes to any other software on my computer.  Any helpful ideas for a fix? Thank you!

Make equivarent sine waveform that has maximum value = 1, average value = pi/2 and RMS = 1/sqrt(2). Below waveform has RMS=1/sqrt(2) but Ea=2/3 not pi/2. ,    Hard probrem. If you can make it, find the Fourier series of the waveform. Calculate the Ea and RMS values for 10, 100 and 1000 harmonics include. Symbolic evaluation by using below programming may causing a trouble.

 I upgraded the Creo Parametric Educational software from version 9.0.1.0 to 11.0.4.0 on our Citrix servers. The students access the application from the cloud. I noticed on the Creo dashboard under the Common Folders the server is directly accessible. Is there a way to lock this down in the application, so the students only have access to the required drive on the server to save their work? Any guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you. 

We have two Creo Citrix Windows 2019 servers that have been flagged for a software vulnerability. This is the PTC Creo Parametric version 9.10.1.0. It states that the following software has been installed in this path: C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 9.0.1.0\Common Files\x86e_win64\gpost\ncjlibs\  is version 11.0.11.9.1 but the fixed version is 11.0.14.10.1.  When I went to the AWS website the it shows that available version is actually 11.0.25. Should I use this version? Does this have any impact on how the Creo software functions?  Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you. 

I have a model from a previously released Assembly that has a mystery shaded plane "thing"...it is not a plane, not selectable, not in the model tree, not in any layer including solids, is shown in everything: the drawing, assembly, the generic prt and both family table prts: which indicates the item is not formed on the asm or only on a family table prt (must be on the generic).  I need it hidden.  Also - how on earth is this possible?  I have tried hiding everything in the layer and model trees...everything including the solids...it always stays.  It is NOT shown if I switch to a non-shaded view on the drawing only (remains no matter the view in the open model). Creo 9.0.3.0. 

I am trying to assign the result of the symbolic solution of P to P so that I don't have to copy the result and assign it to P manually. See below and the attached mathcad file:is possible to write this so that the result of P doesn't have to be copied?I want to change this because if I change the formulas above, I dont have to re-copy the results

  

We are running Creo 9.0.5.0. I created drawing formats and templates in 9.0.9.0 and copied them to our other system. In the titleblock I have a surface finish symbol from the text library included with Creo. On my computers, it shows properly like this: On one of my users, the surface finish symbol is a box.  What could be causing the font to be missing on one computer but not the other. We use a network install of Creo, so everyone is pointing to the same installation of Creo on each network. This is what makes it really confusing.

I'm trying to communicate CompactLogix L-18 ERM QBFC1 (firmware version 20) with Kepware (V6.13) and facing one strange issue.If I add the tags manually, I'm getting bad quality data in Kepware. If I try to add tags using automatic tag generation, I'm able to get few tags with good quality data but not all the tags present in the controller. Using .L5K file option, I'm able to add automatically all the tags present in the controller but data quality for all the tags is showing bad.Please help.

Hi, I have set up a number of temperature/humidity hardware controllers to a KEPserverEX.These hardware controllers will have to be powered off from time to time when the hardware is not being used.The client is a log software that automatically generates monthly data log files and requires noadministration.When the hardware is shut down it will generate a fault in the KEPserverEX event log and the client will time out on these OPC channels. Client log interval is 10 minutes with a scan of 2 cycles/s and channel. If I use the Auto-demote in KEPserverEX will the client receive anything else but a non response and time out on each request made to a non powered controller? I am open for any suggestions but particularly interested in the Auto-demote function. Would the Auto-demote add anything positive to my timeouts or is there a better way to handle this state? I am using KEPserverEX v6.9 and protocol Modbus RTU serial using Ethernet encapsulation.

I have a Thingworx 9.1 instance and am looking forward to upgrade it to 9.7. The instance is using the SQL DB. And we are planning for migration upgrade.What would be the easiest way to do this?1. Should I Upgrade to an intermediate version before upgrading to 9.7?2. Should I directly install 9.7 version in the new server and export the custom apps from 9.1 and then import it to 9.7? 

I have an output from my SQL database saved as an InfoTable in ThingWorx (I've already filtered the timestamp before extracting it). How can I average all of the data in my InfoTable? I couldn't find a way to extract the data into an array (if that's even possible).

Hello users of Mathcad : ), user of Mathcad Prime 10.0Here is a picture of my problem. I am trying for days to solve it, I just don't understand why it won't work. I need it for a homework.So, I’m working with a rectangular channel where the flow area is A = b × hn. The problem is that I don’t know either b or hn, so to make things simpler, I just assumed the cross-section is square – meaning b = hn. That way, I only have one variable to figure out.I then rewrote the whole discharge formula so that everything (A, U, etc.) depends only on hn. All the other values like the slope and the Strickler coefficient are given.Once I find the hn that gives me the correct flow rate Q, I can always scale it afterwards, like double hn to get b and turn it back into a rectangle if needed. The most important thing is that the flow stays the same.So theoretically, this should work fine, but Mathcad won’t solve it, and I’m trying to figure out what’s going wrong.Thanks for any help.
