Hi,   I installed Thingworx version 8.0.1 (8.0.1.1646) trial a couple of weeks ago and have created and saved a test experience however I can't find a way to publish it.   I'm an existing PTC user and have confirmed I'm using the correct username and password (I am successfully logged into my Thingworx Developer Portal account through the Thingworx webpage using the same login details) and I can successfully 'save' the experience to the web, however when I try to 'validate' the experience service or publish it and enter my login details in the "Authentification Required" dialog box it repeatedly fails authentification.   The log error is: "error: [twx-studio:basic] Failed to authenticate experience server https://3e1hmks2.pp.vuforia.io [my PTC username] 401"   All proxy details in settings are blank.   Please help!   Thanks James

Good day -- (Sorry, posted in wrong group originally) I am trying to set up and configure a test environment to install some of the old libraries. One specific issue I am encountering is setting up the configuration to run properly. Here is one specific example: - Run the connector library set up - Install the files - RUN \connlib\bin\i486_nt\mkconnconfig.exe - ENTER PATH for Library Loadpoint Directory - Filename contains spaces - ERROR: X:\XXXX - invalid directory I have tried using "" 's and double "" 's when inputting the location. Hello!   I've developed a java extension for a resource whose services will be called within my thingworx platform.   Is there a way to hardcode-set the 'Service Execute' RunTime permissions on this extension's services, inside the .java file itself?   The idea is to have the permissions defined in the extension itself, otherwise, the Resources' collective permissions will be automatically assigned to my custom resource.   I've consulted the Extension Development Guide , but I could not find out how to do so.    I imagine, such parameterization is to be set on the tag '@ThingworxServiceDefinition ' in the java code E.G.:       @ThingworxServiceDefinition(name = "GenerateBillingDetailsReport", description = "Generate a pdf file with the Billing Details Report", category = "", isAllowOverride = false, aspects = {        "isAsync:false" })   Thank you!

Does anyone have a full example for creating a custom authenticator?  I have seen CS244163 and a few other responses to similar questions but the answers glance over the steps involved until it gets to authenticate.  For constructor and initializeEntity it just says to create them but no examples.

I cannot make to work the algorithm of the attached file containing Gauss-Seidel Operator for linear systems. Can someone give an advice, please? I attached it.

I am trying to set up a solution for a symbolic equation, but somehow the solution units are not working out correctly.  I have attached the worksheet and would appreciate any comments on what is wrong.  The result should be in feet, but as you can see, there are three variables that are not being handled correctly.   Also for some reason I get an error message that says "The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type." Do I need to save back to an earlier version?   I am running MathCAD 15.0.

Hi All,   I wish to customize a functionality in Windchill likewise to create a dynamic drop down list.    If a user selects Value A in the Attribute A drop down list , Attribute B list should be populated dynamically.   Likewise if Value B is selected in Attribute A again the Attribute B list should change and another list of values should get populated dynamically.   Can you all please let me know like how it is done or possible. Hi, I have been looking for some time into how I reuse certain Parameters from windchill in my Excel or Word templates. I can easily see the majority of parameters and reuse these, however I would like to see who last modified the document. If I look at the windchill database it shows who last modified the file quite easily but I simply cannot get this into my documents. Please someone can you tell me the correct syntax to drive this into excel.  I have support with one of the main resellers and they are not making any headway on this for me.    the parameter appears on the windchill page as "Modified by"

Hi,    I'm trying to add a background image on 2D Project with Thingworx Studio. With this code: (In the Home View in my case)   .Home{ background-image: url(#{$resources}/Uploaded/AutoSpire.jpg); opacity: 0.2; } I can see the image on Thingworx Studio editor, but not on "PREVIEW" neither on mobile platform. Hello Everyone,   I defined an Organization, Usergroup and an User and setted the Homemashup for this User to one of my modeled Mashups. The problem is, when i log in as the User, the Mashup does load but it looks like in the picture below. But it should look like this (when i log in as Admin):   I changed the permissions for all included entities (the things the data is read from and all Mashupcomponents -> one Master and two Mashups), allowing the user full access to the 3 permission types. The User also has an assigned Application Key.   Is there something i overlooked? Which permissions for which Objects are crucial for such a scenario being able to work properly?   Any help is appreciated a lot!   Regards, Dominik

I am new to MathCAD and am doing a simple static force equilibrium analysis. My goal is to understand the best way to do this type of analysis so that I can then scale it to more complex problems. MathCAD document is attached (prepared in MathCAD Prime 3.0) and a scan of the sample problem that I’m working on is shown on the second page of the document.   I was able to get the correct result using Method-1 and Method-3 but I’m not able to get Method-2 to work. In Method-2 I’m attempting to make the resultant loads Bx and By (the variables I’m solving for) variables within a function called B. I’m then trying to call function B in the moment equilibrium equation to simplify the form of the equation. If I could get this approach (or something similar) to work it would be great because for more complex problems it would be very convenient to write equilibrium equations as a function of reaction load [B] where [B] represents Bxi + Byj + Bzk.   Also, as mentioned, Method-3 works b

Hi there,   The context of my question is this:   I have an existing model model on OpenVSP, an aerospace prototyping software. I have exported a mesh from Openvsp into a .stl file. I imported the .stl file into Creo Parametric 3.0, which resulted in a facet feature.   Despite being a facet feature, when I go Analysis>mass properties>preview, It gives me a volume and a mass. I don't understand this as I thought I just imported a "mesh" type file which does not have an assigned volume. The only explanation I can think of is that Creo automatically assigned a volume when I imported the file. How do I fix this?   My goal is to add a specific thickness to the surfaces and assign densities for a mass model. To do this, I assume I have to somehow convert the facet into a solid, which I'm not sure is possible or not?   Thank you,   Joe

Hello everyone,   I have the following matrices:   x = (15 -17)    y = (-6 20)   z = (55 -75)    I would like to combine them to form a new matrix such as,   A = (x y z)   I'm thinking (not sure if its right) A would turn up to be a 1x6 matrix.   A = (15 -17 -6 20 55 -75)   Then I would like to get the maximum absolute value of A which if everything is possible up to this point then the result would be 75.   Any suggestions?   Thanks!  

I am wondering then how to fix this new problem. I have fixed the error for the basic file, but now I want to express the heat transfer not knowing the wall temperature but rather knowing the ambient temperature. The equations are not too bad to solve, but I'm having issues with the solve block having too many arguments after I made the functions of the variable I wish to solve for. I would like to put my conditions in as a function and get the feedback for the correct outlet temperature (assuming the thermal gradient isn't too large that the wall temperature varies greatly in the z direction along the pipe axis).The issue is I would like to express the properties of any given substance as a function of temperature (or average temperature in most cases).The excel spreadsheet (minus updating the properties) gives a correct answer by iterating through. The user needs to press the buttons several times until all errors are zero.I know I can do this problem in excel or a programing languag
