I am using TWX 8.1 and I tried to install the MFG Apps extension but I am having an issue. There's some null pointer exception:     Here's what I see in the log. Any idea?

Dimensioning issue:Is there a technique or option that can be applied to prevent an arrowhead from hiding the second pick on small features. Below pics are for reference only how arrow head hides a small feature.

I found a problem with WRITEEXCEL.  Wondering if anyone has a workaround.  If I write output to Excel (let's say 1,2,3,4...20) it writes those 20 rows to excel.  Then, if I change my result to (1,2,3,4...10) it writes 10 rows.  However, in the excel file the data in rows 11-20 are still there from the previous result.  So I have 10 rows of good data and 10 unwanted rows.  If I use WRITECSV it overwrites the entire file and I only get the 10 I want.  So, I can use that but is there a way to fix it for WRITEEXCEL?  Is this a bug or a 'feature'?  Using prime 4.0.  Thanks.

Hi All,   I created a test XML, which contains both Chinese content and English content, in Arbortext Editor. When I published the XML file to HTML, both languages were displayed properly. When I published the XML file to PDF, only English was displayed. The Chinese content was diaplayed as empty boxes. You could refer to the attached screen captures.   My computer is running with Win 10 OS, language and location are set to China.   Could someone help me?   Thanks.

I am new to MathCAD and am doing a simple static force equilibrium analysis. My goal is to understand the best way to do this type of analysis so that I can then scale it to more complex problems. MathCAD document is attached (prepared in MathCAD Prime 3.0) and a scan of the sample problem that I’m working on is shown on the second page of the document.   I was able to get the correct result using Method-1 and Method-3 but I’m not able to get Method-2 to work. In Method-2 I’m attempting to make the resultant loads Bx and By (the variables I’m solving for) variables within a function called B. I’m then trying to call function B in the moment equilibrium equation to simplify the form of the equation. If I could get this approach (or something similar) to work it would be great because for more complex problems it would be very convenient to write equilibrium equations as a function of reaction load [B] where [B] represents Bxi + Byj + Bzk.   Also, as mentioned, Method-3 works b

Hi, I'm having issues calling a service that I created. The input is not simply strings like most examples I see. It is a datashape containing string, datetime and numbers. I can't find any examples so I hope this would be useful to others also!   Would it be possible just to give me an example of the content of the json body so I could use it with Postman and do a POST?   For example, service is called: AddPerson And the input is a datashape (named PersonProfile).   The datashape contains a Name (string), an Age (int) and a Date (datetime, ex: Jan 1st 2018 14:30).   Thank you for your help.

Hi, Since the upgrade to the menus system I now am prompted to sign in to the windchill page. How do I get round this? I'm not sure what my password is as it is a saved one, How do I reset?

Something changed when I upgraded from 10.2 to 11.0 and the default task that populates when you create a CN has changed.  We have to different soft type CNs.  Each of them have a different soft type Task.  Back in 10.2 I created a template for our "special" CN so that it would populate the soft type for it because the default had been the "normal" CN task.  Now the "special" task is defaulting when the "normal" CN is created.  I cannot create a template for the "normal" CN because there are attributes on the CN that have to be left blank to force the user to answer them and the template will not allow for them to be blank.  So my question is, how do I change it so that the "normal" task will be the default when creating a CN?

Hello   We are trying to set coincident constraint between surface of two parts using Toolkit. Confusion is related to use of PRO_ASM_MATE and PRO_ASM_ALIGN as constraint type. I suppose it is related to vector direction of two surfaces to be constrained. Can anyone suggest on this?   Regards Ketan

I just updated our FlexLM license manager to 11.14, so we'd be able to do some testing with Creo 4.0. As part of this operation, I had a new license file generated. The server works fine for the "normal" stuff (Creo Essentials, NC-Complete, etc.), but yet again, I can't seem to get the Simulate license to function properly. The pertinent licenses are being "served", but on the user end the program does not see the licenses. When I run "ptcstatus" from the command line, I get the two lines of interest: MECBASICENG_License MECBASICUI_License In the past (2014, last time I did this) I corrected this by using the above information in the file: C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\Common Files\M240\mech\text\licensing\mech\feature.dat I needed to alter the entries that initially said "<No license features>" to point to the actual license, reconfigure my installation, and the program would "see" the licenses. None of these techniques seem to work this time. Has anyone got anything I can try t

We use the format <vendor name>_<vendor p/n> for some of our purchased components.  In order to show the info in a more readable format on drawings, that same info gets added to our "Description" parameter with spaces instead of the underscores.  I'd like to avoid typos by driving the parameter from the filename via relations while replacing the underscores with spaces. Of course, not every vendor name is the same number of characters, so using the string length isn't an option.  I need to be able to find the underscores and replace them.   Possible?

Hello,  I have a grid widget placed in the layout control and have two columns select(with check box) and property(string) and made iseditable to true and multiselect to true of the grid properties. Also i have made the editable to true of the column select. (made by default top 5 rows selected) On a event i am passing editabletable property of the grid as parameter, irrespective of selecting any no. of rows the editabletable property of the grid is always same.   But when i move the grid from layout to panel, i see the editabletable property working.   Is this the intended behavior or there is an issue with the grid.?   Thanks  

Good morning Arbortexters,After upgrading to Arbortext Editor 7, I'm getting the following message when adding borders to a table, and the borders are not applied correctly.  We use a custom Fosi, so I'm not sure why there's a reference to the dflt.fos in this error.  We've made no recent Fosi or DTD changes, and using that same DTD and Fosi, I can add table borders with Arbortext 5. Does anyone know how I can resolve this error? Thanks!

Howdy! I'm having an issue with customer dashboard creation.  Only admin level users are able to modify the gadget layout on dashboards. Super Users and below can't edit the layouts of the Gadgets on the Dashboard as on refresh, the gadgets revert to their originally placed positions.    I tried engaging runtime permissions for Super User to no effect.  Anyone run into something similar?

Hello.Im looking for any informations about distributed batch in CREO Parametric 2.0. In Pro/engineer i see was a small free program wchich help convert in one operation few .drw to, for example: pdf format. So,1. My company have license to CREO parametric 2.0, but i wonder if CREO 2 have this type of module, (when yes), does my company have to purchase another license for DB?2. So second thing is, how to install it? Or maybe i can use some different optsion to do a batch processing some drw to pdf?

Hi, I have same user, home mashup and organization on server1.cloud.thingworx.com and server2.cloud.thingworx.com thingworx instance. When user login from server1.cloud.thingworx.com/Thingworx/FormLogin/Organization it should login and redirected to server2.cloud.thingworx.com/Thingworx/Runtime/index.html based on some data table field. Any idea how to achieve this?   Thanks

Hello Everyone,   in the mashup builder you are able to use the service "getImplementingThings" from a selected Thing Template. I would like to use this service in an SDK or even somewhere else in the composer, but i cant find it neither in my Thing Templates services nor in the Resources Entity services.   Thanks for your help.

Hi,  I Am testing the Analytic Trial, I make the CSV and JSON download from the developer site (Build a Predictive Analytics Model - analytics_vibration - https://developer.thingworx.com/resources/guides/analytics-builder-quickstart/data-upload) and created a datat set.   When I Try to create a Signal or a Profile, It return failed. The ThingWorx is the Trial version and I Am Running on DockerMachinePTC. Thanks.

Creo crashes with no error message when trying to save certain drawings to a PDF, both quick export and save as. I have no idea what differentiates the ones that are saved from the ones that cause the crash.
