Hello everyone,   I'm quite new to ThingWorx and I wanted to create a new thing in ThingWorx Composer using the template 'IndustrialGateway', but I don't have that template. Does anyone know how to add this template? I meet the minimal requirements stated on the support site of PTC, I'm using ThingWorx Studio 8.2.0 and KEPServerEX 6.4 and Composer 7. Any suggestions, it would really help?

I have some models where I'll create a mesh on them (Mesh surface) under the analysis tab, but I can't save it.  I'd like to be able to easily create a series of lines like the mesh, and use them for trajectories.  Is there an easy way to do this, or am I going to have to do it manually?  I mean, I like being able to create the mesh on individual surfaces, and being able to pick the amount of surfaces it breaks it into, but I can't save it, and if I could, I can;t reference it.   Anyone else ever needed this?   Grazie!

Hello all,   I have used SolidWorks and AutoCAD extensively prior to me being introduce to Creo. I am working with some existing files and my goal currently is to take the models from them, export as STLs so that I can 3D print them.   Here are a few dilemmas I have run into which I cannot solve with a simple google search and would appreciate the experience users to provide some insight.   First when I open the .drw files which have been previously made some or most of the parts are covered by yellow dimensional writing. I cannot hide this for the life of me and this impedes my view of the object I am attempting to work with. How can I hide these measurements and/or labels?   Second in the files I am using I only see "sheets" where can I extract just the 3D model itself so I can see it and work with it to modify in order to make it easier for 3D printing? Any insight would be very much appreciated!    Best

Hello,   I am working in mathcad prime 3.0 on an assignment and I am modeling a Trickle Bed Reactor (plug flow behavior). I have set up the mole balances, from which I know by now that they are correct. I use the odesolve function to solve a set of differential (and algebraic) equations. However when I plot the results I do not get the results I want. Attached is the file I made. I made a plot with the liquid concentrations of the components. I see only a difference in the concentration of A and I am wondering what I am doing wrong, because i should also a difference in the concentration of B and C.   Below a brief description on the case: I have three reactions. The third reaction does not take place due to a reaction rate constant which is zero.  A + H2 -> B B + H2 -> C A -> G (This reaction is not taking place)   I am feeding hydrogen in the gas phase to the reactor together with liquid component A. Hi, Via the gateway bridge I am trying to import an in Excel created Test Designs Document with Test Cases and Test Steps. The standard PTC documentation briefly describes how to import the Test Design Document and Test Cases and that I got working. How can I import Test Steps because I can’t find any documentation about it.   Does anybody have experience with importing test steps from excel into PTC Integrity?   Regards, Jan.

We currently require that our CN Task number matches our CN Notice number.  The main reason is for reports that MFG runs against the CN number to get the Resulting Objects in PDF format for a meeting.  What I would like to do is type in the CN Notice number and get the Resulting Objects no matter what the CN Task number is that is associated with the CN Notice.  It works well if the numbers are the same, but if they get off, then the report doesn't work.  When this happens it takes a lot of time and work to get it all corrected, depending on when it was caught.  I am hoping that this is a simple join, but does anyone know how to do this?

Hi,I need to create a report that lists Change Requests and their connected Problem Reports.For example, the preferable output would be:ECR#: Date Created: PR# Date Created:ECR-123 1/4/2006 10:20:30 PR-123 1/4/2005 10:20:30 PR-456 1/4/2004 10:20:30ECR-456 and so on...The goal is to get the time from Problem reported to ECR initiated.It seems to me that my query needs to involve some kind of link/reference between ECR and PR, could be wrong though.As you understand I'm pretty new to this, have only done some simple reports and finding a good source for learning is hard.Please let me know if more information on the subject is needed.Thankful for any tips.

Hello, I need to send an assembly to a supplier. But I don't want to send the complete assembly (both for security and convenience reasons). Is it possible to save a stand alone assembly from a Simplified Representation? I only find Copy As External, but that seems to include the complete assy.

Hi,   I'm trying to publish a PDF from a DITA map.  When I click File > Publish > PDF File, the output for each file just shows the path to the *.pdf.ditaLinks path for each file.  No content shows, except for the title that I use for the map..  I don't have any trouble publishing PDFs for individual files, just DITA maps.   Some background: the individual files were just converted to Arbortext from Word files, and we are starting the cleanup to standardize them.   Thanks, Bob

I'm using MathCad 3.1 and for some reason x in my function is always labeled as undefined and I can't figure out why. I played around with labeling the variables and such but it won't work. Normal functions work just fine. Is MathCad not able to do this?   A solution to a similar problem was done in mathcad 3.1 that worked fine, I could just enter 0 for x but i need to be able to use dp/dx in other equations

Hi,   after the new update (8.2.1.2937) the language is set to the windows language (german in my case).   I want to change it back to english. There is no possibility to do this in the options.   Someone know where to change it?   Regards, Clemens

I've been trying to add a Customer Number to an account however every time I put it in and click "Update" nothing happens. I am at a total loss and unable to manage my licenses!

I would really like to have this question clarified, as the manual is not clear about it.   Imagine the following source setup:   We have some SI projects: /siteA/lineA/prodA/pro111/project.pj /siteA/lineA/prodA/pro222/project.pj /siteA/lineB/prodB/pro333/project.pj /siteB/lineB/prodC/pro444/project.pj /generic/pro666_forcedReview/project.pj     There shall be a policy for /generic (assuming that the policy is recurse to all proejcts below) that enforces CP review. There shall be a policy for /siteA  (assuming that the policy is recurse to all proejcts below) that does NOT enforce CP review.     When I share a member from (archive) lets say /generic/pro666_forcedReview/sub1/subSub2/aFile.txt   into /siteA/lineA/prodA/pro111/subForGenerics/project.pj   Will an update to this member from a sandbox of /siteA/lineA/prodA/pro111/ still be triggering a CP review???   If policies behave like ACLs I'd assume yes, but do they?    

Hi Team,   Please help us to get resolve with following issue.   We have installed Thingworx Composer 8.0 on Amazon EC2 instance and its working fine locally. If we turn of Windows firewall OFF then we are able to access Composer with public IP address of EC2 from any Public client remotely. But if we Turn Windos Firewall ON then we are not able to access composer from any remote client publicaly.   We have also Enabled All traffic (Inbound and Outbound) on Security group and also on Network ACL on EC2 console setting. We have also tried with Custom setting (HTTP and HTTPS) Ports traffic allow on EC2.   But with Firewall on its not able to access by any ways. Is there any setting required in Composer or Tomcat to get this resolved.   Regards, Dhiraj        

Using Creo 3 M010. I have a large assembly and a drawing with 16 sheets. It's very slow to work with. I must click on a drawing view, wait 5 seconds, perform my action, wait 5-15 seconds for it to update, then repeat this process over and over. I can't even get RMB to show up on some views.   I have a quad core watercooled i7 3Ghz, 12Gb DDR3, 5870 GPU (watercooled), 500Gb Samsung Evo SSD. My machine is no slouch. What I don't understand is what's limiting Creo. CPU usage remains below 20%, RAM below 8Gb, SSD below 5%, GPU below 5%. I've tried changing the GPU config options (opengl/win32_gdi) and nothing seems to help. If software is running slowly, I can always point to a limiting component of hardware, but with Creo, there's nothing to point to.

I am working on a custom action where the user can select one or more EPM Documents and start the action.  My implementation is currently using the request parameter to grab the oid’s/soid’s of the selected objects however it only works when the user selects 8 or less items.  Is there another way to get the list of all the selected item rows at the time the custom action is selected?  If so, can you provide some guidance?  Current method used in popup JSP ids = request.getParameterValues("soid") or id = request.getParameter("oid")   Thanks, Mark Bohannon Lenovo
