Hi All,I am trying to create a database connection and I saw that everybody says that I have to create a database thing after I download the connector in the market...what is this?I mean...After I download the connector,  Should I create a thing with a database as template or with the connector as template?An where do I see my tables to validate that the connection was a sucess?I am really newbie in thingworx, so every will be welcome.Thanks,Anselmo.

Hi All,I was going through primitives while learning the ThingWorx Java Edge SDK. But while going through the documentation, I got confused between ThingWorx primitives (ThingWorx data types) and Thingworx Edge Java SDK application's data types (Primitive).Is there any documentation or someone can provide brief differences between the two with the examples if there exist any differences?Thanks & Regards,Aditya

After I define a new workflow template, I need to use this workflow for a document. How can I do this? Should I again go to utilities/workflow template Administration/choose the workflow template/ Right Mouse button/Initate Workflow process/..."    Understand there is another alternate method:  Need to cusotmize jsp pages etc., to add the menu along with the list of change processes    Is there any other better method?   Thanks...  - Ravi

I'm trying to make a customized BOM table that will play nice with external software when exported as CSVs.   The columns I need are as follows: Parent, Parent Revision, Child, Child quantity, Child Description   The last three are easy, typical repeat region setup for BOM. The parent columns are the problem. I can grab the parameters from the assembly, but they do not repeat in the table because there is nothing to repeat. I need the same parameter pulled in for every row on these columns. Is there a way to make the same "value" repeat with the rest of the table? See attached.   I am aware of some other software and methods for exporting BOMs, but this is the way we need to do it for now. Thanks in advance for advice!

Does anyone know how to set a Session Parameter using javascript?  I would like to create a custom widget that sets a session parameter.  I assume I have to access the User Management Subsystem but I'm not sure how to do that in javascript.Thank you

When you access a lifecycle template or workflow template in Windchill, the Java application launches.Each time a security warning is displayed, you have to click Run every time to run it. I would appreciate it if you let me know how to set it to run without the corresponding security warning.

I want to start playing with Creo 4.0. The readme says I need to upgrade our license server to Flexnet Publisher 11.14. I can't figure out where to get it from. Let's see if you guys are better than the PTC Support...   I put in a support request Monday morning for help moving my license. It is now well into the afternoon of Thursday. I receive the new license files this morning.   I go to the reconfigure.exe file and I drag the license into the field and it request to log in to PTC. I enter what I know is valid login information and the reconfigure application issues the error: "PTC Installation Assistant has stopped working" And upon selecting "close program", the reconfigure dialog disappear.   Back story; I need to send my Lenovo P70 in for service. I installed an old harddrive in a replacement Dell M6600 meaning that Creo 2 and Creo 3 are already installed. It just needs the license updated.   THIS SHOULDN"T TAKE 4 DAYS AND COUNTING!

All,   How is everyone doing cable assemblies? If you were to document many cable assemblies, would it merit the use of Creo cabling module or RSD? BTW - is RSD the actual better choice? I have only played with the cabling module. I do have my issues with it. No experience with RSD.   I'd prefer to NOT do drawings in 2D.   Perhaps simply using pipe feature? Or other methods other than using additional modules?   Please share your experiences, successes and failures.   Thanks,   WayneF

hi, how to map the "source" attribute of catia in Windchill I created an enumeration with values : Unknown, Made, Bought, 0, 1, 2 , catProductBough, catProductMade and catProductSourceUnknown. but it does not work the error message is : The value of the Source attribute must be one of the following values: unknown, Made, Bought, 0, 1, 2, Unknown, Manufactured, Purchased, catProductSourceUnknown, catProductMade, catProductBought. The existing value may no longer be valid for this attribute.   thank

Hello all, I have two simple functions similar to each other. One of them shows different values correspond to different values of x, but the other one only shows a unique value. I wonder if it is a Mathcad bug. How can I have both functions give me values correspond to those of x?

How do I change my email adress on PTC community?

On PTC's site if I go to Support > Sign up for Technical Alerts the Summary tab states "You will not receive any Subscription Emails as you have checked Suspend Delivery box on Preferences tab."  When I go to the Preferences tab the page is blank.  How do I get this fixed?  I can't find a way on PTC's site to contact them about it.

Hi everyone, I would appreciate if someone would like to share his/her experiences concerning the numerical integration function. I am aware of what the help says, namely that "Sharply peaked integrands, or functions whose shape is not readily characterized by a single length scale, do not evaluate accurately. This is the nature of numerical integration. Accurate results may be obtained by breaking an integral into pieces and separately integrating around the peak and away from the peak.".  I am experiencieng some difficulties integrating artificially generated earthquake acceleration time histories (discretized, of course, for example with a sampling rate of 100  or 200 Hz) to velocities and then to displacements. Admittedly they are peaked (see attached example), but I am surprised how often the standard integral function of MathCAD 15 fails to converge (with autoselect, or with Romberg or Adaptive).  The convergence problems happen if I use linterp

Therefore we are look for customization to automate steps in the creation of Data Packages and defining Deliveries. I am using Thingworx 8.1.1 war file and acquired licenses for navigate and Twx (attached image of the licenses acquired in Licenses.jpeg). I have two apps imported in Twx and which are viewable in Twx 8.0.1, but in Twx 8.1.1 on LandingPageAccessAppMashup I am not able to see any app tiles. I have added 'Administrator' to two navigate user groups available but still I am not able to view those apps.   In help document I found some information written regarding licensing as,      "ThingWorx 8.1 and later requires that a instance-specific license activation ID is added to the platform-settings.json file that is located in the ThingworxPlatform folder. Multiple IDs must be separated by a comma.
