Hello,   When using Designated Area feature on the surface of a thin part the designated area is visible from the other site of the part. As if it is transparent part. I think this happen when the part is thin. Does anyone knows if this behave can be controlled with some accuracy setting?

When someone has used the wrong model in an assembly you can easily switch it out by creating an interchange assembly.  When someone has used the wrong model in a drawing view I just checked today using Creo 3 and you cannot switch out by an interchange (only current family table members).  Anyone know a workaround for this or is this a feature request being born?

There is little information available about clusters, also Analytics Builder does not provide a GUI to create them, you can only go via API.To my understanding, clusters group the features with respect to the goal. What I don't understand is what is the difference to profiles then, which do the same thing.So what are the conceptual differences, and when do I use which?Also, when you look at the result of a cluster job, in one cluster, you only get only a list of features with their distinctiveness. To me, this doesn't describe the cluster very well, I would have expected to get something like a "center of gravity" for the cluster to be able to say where in the n-dimensional feature space the cluster located. How can I get there?It'd be great if someone could shed some light on these two issues.

I attached the file that I am having issues with. I am trying to plot three of my functions onto a single graph but right now they arent working. I think there is a problem with the input variable that I am using. I also don't know how to get three functions to plot on one graph. I've also attached a pdf with an example problem that shows roughly how the graph should look along with the funcitons used. My circuit is different which is why some of the functions may look different. 

@PeterCase, Not sure if this is your area or not, but I just received a proactive support recommendation (cache setting change) for a powered off server.  What's so odd is that the recommendation said this event first occurred on September 9, 2017 (two days ago) but the server was removed from production last March and has been completely powered off since June.  Are the recommendations not based on the actual performance of currently running systems?

Hi, I'm newbie to thingworx.Is there any way to pop up another mashup page?I want to show a page has some information(Things, Database, ...) on the another page while main page is running.

Does anyone know how to run & or export a where used report from pdmlink? I currently click on the little information icon then go to the general tab & select where used. It displays everything but when you are dealing with lots of assemblies it would be nice to export the data to excel or even text file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksMike

Hi, I would like to use the WC_VERSION_ATTR  Revision number in gentext. I've got the attribute correct in arbortext via bursting rules (twoway). -> rev = WC_VERSION_ATTR   When I generate the text containing the rev (with xpath) is say as example: B.7 I would like the show only the Revision of the document: B (without the .7)   Is there a way to read the rev attribute and modify attribute ?   thanks in advance christian

I've made a MathCad template and the answer is correct when I don't include units, but when I include units the answer is incorrect. Also the units that get returned are not what they are supposed to be. Thanks!  

I'm still on Creo View 3.1 where the save as 3d options are step, iges, VRML and DXF.  It appears from some PTC cases, that in 4.1 there is Save as JT capability.  Does anybody know if the capability is there in the MCAD license pack?

I have 2 main questions about customization of Holes in IFX:   1) In the hole section is there a way to preselect the hole chart you want in the .dat file? (similar to CBSR and cbnut but for thread series)...for example, IFX gives me no way to choose between UNC or UNJC. The SCR_THREAD_SERIES_THREAD option is one size fits all as far as I can tell.   2) If I have a fastener with a non standart countersink (i.e. 100 degree csunk head that uses UNF thread), what is the best way to get around this...Will I be able to use my UNF hole chart and create a separate chart that will only be used for CSINKDIAM and CSINKANGLE?   It would be really nice if IFX hole creation resembled the CREO hole feature (or atleast incorporated its flexibilty).   Thanks for any help

I have some Things registered on Thingworx, they all have a subscription (defined on the Template) on payload DataChange that change all the other properties based on the payload.I set QOS on 2 and by default the mqtt thing receive exactly 1 message every minute by the server.The problem is, when I look at the QueryPropertyHistory i see triple or even quadruple data:if I send ONE message at 15:30 and look at QueryPropertyHistory I see 3 or 4 events with timestamps at 15:30:00.001, 15:30:00.002, 15:30:00.003.It's like the subscription happens multiple times for some reason I can't understand.It's annoying because it takes space for no reason and it's a mess when I bind it to a time chart WidgetHas anyone ever run into this problem too?

One user is suddenly getting a blank screen when she opens a file from Windchill in Creo View Lite. The workstation has been rebooted and that did not help. We switched from Lite to Professional and  back and still Creo View only displays a blank window. We are both using IE11 on Windchill 10.0 and normal browser functions in Windchill all seem to be running normally. The one difference may be versions of JAVA that we each have loaded because of some programs that she runs that I don't. Does theJAVA version make a difference with Creo View Lite?

I have a question when using family table in asm level.   The asm family table has two parts, and two parts have their own family table.   in assembly level, i want the parts which have varied part instance from their two part family table.   However, i tried and the asm family table is only allow the part to be "Y" or "N".   Please help.

Hello,I created a service that uses GetDataTableEntryByKey to search an infotable, and then depending on another field definition it would create a result true or false. However if the key doesn't exist yet it creates an error saying Key Does Not Exist. What ELSE statement would I use so if the Key is not yet created it would populate a false result? Because if it doesn't exist I want it to be result = false.Does anybody know the right approach for this?

Hi,Can I use the same value stream for multiple things which store different properties?

I have few navigation widget buttons as well as normal buttons on mashup. (Navigation widget launches pop-ups on click)When pop get launch from navigation widget buttons normal buttons turns into gray color on mashup, and other navigation widget buttons remain blue.So it looks wired mashup having few buttons in blue and gray when pup-up launch.
